The children had a nice swim after the long day on the athletics field and we had fun playing putt-putt. Wish we could have stayed longer.
It was our 2nd time at Bakoor and certainly not the last time! There is a playground for the kids, a nice swimming pool and they are building an awesome putt-putt course! Awesome place!

They were very friendly even though we booked late and didn't arrive until after 18:00 on a Sunday. Privacy between campsite and cottages is perfect. No one bothers anyone. Everything we needed for a good night's rest and break away from the city noise.

If you are looking for tranquility, the place is ideal. Everything you need is there and the little extras like dish soap, handy andy etc. is very convenient.
Our stay at Bakoor was nice. It is in a beautiful setting. The gate works with a remote only during the day, at night you have to get out of your car in the dark and open the farm gate which is a safety risk. Maybe they can put a better battery on the remote gate. The shower's geyser water is not to one's liking and one cannot take a nice shower. This has been a big negative for us. Either you burn yourself to pieces or you freeze your blue but no constant flow of water if you shower in Unit 1.

Very beautiful scenery. Beautiful stars. We heard foxes and also the African night owl. Cattle in the distance. Good break from the city. I would suggest that there should be another blanket available. Also a small container with milk. There was coffee and tea, but no milk. The water was not hot, then you get really cold when you bathe. There is no shower, but if the water is nice and warm then the bath is more than perfect. I believe it is because the sun is not warm enough in the winter. There was gas and battery lights were a win with loadshedding. Really a cute little place that fits in so beautifully in nature.
The place was neat and clean. Very quiet and located on a hill on the farm. There were extra blankets for the cold winter night. The farm and accommodation run on solar energy. Disadvantage is that the main electric gate cannot be opened and closed in the evening and one has to use the side gate. The dirt path into the farm and accommodation is a bit rough for anyone with a low car (2 km). There is only 1 flat pillow on a bed so bring your own pillow if you like a higher pillow. WIFI is provided but there is no password in the accommodation to use the services. The WIFI router is in the roof where the light flashes all night and can be seen. It was also not indicated where to leave the key when you leave the accommodation.

Definitely for the nature lover. Just outside the Vaal Triangle in the Lindequisdrift area. Nothing to do but relax and take in the silence and peacefulness of the beautiful environment. The cottages have everything you need, just take your clothes, food and toiletries. Beautiful braai areas are set up at each cottage as well as a table with an umbrella on the stoep. You can take nice long walks and there is a lovely swimming pool. If you are an amateur entomologist you will enjoy the vast number of insects and Orb Web spiders to be found here. There are no shops close by. We will definitely go back next time we need to recharge.
Was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful location of BakoorPlaas Accommodation, plus the lovely view and scenery. Housing was neat, clean and met all my requirements. Will definitely use it again if I want to stay in the area.

A really lovely place to stay if you want a weekend break. We might just do that! However, it was a long drive back late at night after seeing shows at Aardklop on a very long stretch of dirt road. This is however not their fault. We booked it and Richard should have checked the distance more carefully. Of the many many places on the website we have stayed at this was one of the most fitted out places. We did not have to go out and buy glasses or mugs or bowls as we have had to do in the past. My only concern is the fact that they use solar energy only, which is wonderful for them and for the environment etc. but for someone who has to use a hairdryer, I just have that type of hair, this could be a problem if the sun does not shine because then you cannot use the hairdryer. This may seem stupid to some people but we are all different/ But all in all we loved it, would have liked to be there more during the day but being so far away we couldn't just pop back between shows.

Very beautiful place in nature. Our unit, no.2, had an incredible view of the farm. We woke up in the morning and wildly got out of bed. We barbecued on the porch for three nights, although it was a bit difficult to manage in the rain. A canopy would be perfect for such weather. As indicated, the units use solar power. If it's cloudy, the batteries struggle to charge, resulting in the fridge turning off in the evening. The customer service is very good though, and after the first night we pointed it out, the owners turned on the generator for us for a few hours after the sun went down for a little extra power to get us through the evening . Be aware, the place is not for people who rely too much on electricity, and if you move too much from the cottage, the batteries will not last. There are also some nice paths to walk on the farm where you can look at the goats and a very convenient swimming area where you also look out on the farm on the hot days. Had a very nice break, will definitely want to come back again. Thank you Annelize and Andrew for all the help and for sharing the place with us.

The stay was very peaceful and the area beautiful, quite close to Potchefstroom and if you're looking for a place where you can relax and spend some quality time with your loved ones, it is perfect. The accommodation is very clean and beautifully furnished. We found it easily and would definitely stay there again.
Bakoor Farm Accommodation offers neat accommodation in a safe environment. The view from our porch was breathtaking. It was also nice and private. It is relatively close to Paris and several fishing spots if you want to do something. Bakoor is a very peaceful little house on a farm just outside Paris. It is one of 3 houses that are so far apart that you can hardly see the others. Clean, tidy and very private. No power and hot water is obtained from solar panels. We were there during the rainy season so the water was just chilly. I personally would say gas is a better option but that is literally all the place lacks.
