The rooms and dining hall are well furnished, but no facility for Bed & Breakfast. We would like to suggest that provision be made for older people who find it difficult to get by by providing coffee, sugar and small amount of milk to make coffee or tea early in the morning. A small table with 4 chairs in front of each room's porch is essential and a microwave oven and two-plate stove would have contributed to greater comfort. (Cutlery, plates, cups, knives, spoons and forks are self-evident). Finally, there must be reserved parking specifically marked for each room or unit for the elderly or those using wheelchairs. The building needs attention and maintenance on gradual deterioration and paintwork.
We were received very kindly. The room was very clean and tidy, fresh bedding every day. Very well located. I will definitely go there again!

The establishment was once probably very nice, but now it seems rather run-down. It doesn't look like the pictures on the website. The rooms are in desperate need of maintenance. There was lukewarm water coming from the shower, the shower didn't have a shower head, just a huge jet stream of water. The sheets weren't clean. Overall it gives a non-clean feel, probably because it is all old and run-down. Our arrival didn't feel very professional or welcome. We were met by a receptionist in slippers. We actually still received a free upgrade (before arrival) so I am scared to find out what the other rooms look like.
Such a pleasant, friendly, helpful experience after our unpleasant experience at the previous accommodation we stayed at. Jennifer's hospitality complements the beautiful accommodation.
The guest house is beautifully furnished with a well-kept garden and a lovely swimming pool!
Service was very good and the people were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything went smoothly and there were no surprises, would definitely recommend.
The carpets are full of dog pee and the place stinks of dog pee.
The cleanliness is just zero, the floor carpets are filthy and you cannot walk barefoot on them. There are rats that are so busy and noisy at night. The rats ate our apples. The bedding was not changed prior to our arrival and when we complained, the management was very defensive and not owning up. The iron has black sticky debris and the lady was still defensive. The place doesn't look as nice as it appears on pictures.
We enjoyed our stay, had our privacy and were treated very well.

Guests with special dietary restrictions should please advise the manager at least 24 hours in advance so that a suitable meal can be arranged with the chef.
Meals for children age 0 - 4 can also be specially catered for on request and with 24-hours advance notice.
Guests rooms are serviced daily between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 unless a guest specifies that their room should be left unmade.

Description
The Executive Suite is on the top floor and is the largest suite in the establishment. It is furnished with a king-size bed and can comfortably accommodate 2 guests. It comprises a large open-plan bedroom and lounge where guests can watch TV in comfort. The bedroom contains a king-size bed. The dressing room has ample space and drawers are plentiful. The bathroom has a double-door shower and the corner bath offers a bit of luxury. Guests can enjoy a hand basin each, as well as a toiletry cupboard. This suite has a private patio area and the balcony offers views of the garden and is a beautiful place to sit and watch the sunrise or an approaching Lowveld storm. The curtains ensure complete block-out for travellers wishing to recuperate during the day from a long drive or flight. The kitchenette is situated just outside the bedroom and offers a bar fridge, kettle, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a storage nook for picnic bags or groceries.
Balcony Manor has a number of suites which cater for families, couples and single travellers. Some suites enjoy direct access to the garden; a downstairs inside suite offers a beautiful Victorian bath in which to relax and an upstairs suite has its own balcony. All suites have a TV with a wide selection of DStv channels, air-conditioning, super king-size beds or three-quarter beds on request. Two suites are usually set up for a single traveller but can easily be made into a double room.
Country Rose and Victoria's Parlour suites have en-suite bathrooms and are ideal for guests with mobility challenges. They are each equipped with a fold-down wall seat, a hand-held shower, wall-mounted hand rails and have non-slip floors. Safety and comfort go hand in hand in these tailored suites.
The beautiful gardens provide a place of solitude or a beautiful and romantic backdrop for a small intimate wedding, anniversary or wedding vow renewal. After a hot day in the bush or day trip, guests can cool off in a sparkling pool. Braai facilities are available for use at all times. As the establishment is not licenced, guests may bring their own "bar".
Parking is within the grounds of the establishment and guests can be rest assured of excellent night-time patrolled security as well as a panic button in each room for added security.
Balcony Manor also offers a backpacker's facility, ideal for families wanting a low-budget holiday. The ground-floor dormitory has sleeping areas divided by cupboards allowing for partial privacy. The unit has a kitchenette for self-catering, and a mini dining and lounge area where guests can relax and watch TV.
A travel baby cot, feeding chair and baby bath accessories are available on request.
