11 guests' feedbackThe apartment complex is perfectly located. We usually vacation in that area. I would only make the 2 ground flats the eye level "view" a little better. The plants spoil your view a bit. . But the service, the apartment everything was perfect. ;.
The master bedroom door handle on the living room side is very loose. Only one screw still holds it in position. It is very difficult to unlock the entrance door from the inside. One has to use force and can therefore easily break the key. The clock is above the entrance door and probably needs a new battery. The security door of the main bedroom (trellidoor) is broken on the inside and needs to be repaired.
Accommodation is comfortable, modern and spacious. The location is perfect, right on the beach.
The only thing that I felt was missing was some direction on day to day things i. e. a one pager or folder with the WiFi password, where to put rubbish etc. Also would be great to have a second set of keys.
We would have preferred a bathtub in one of the bathrooms. There was no broom to sweep. Full DSTV was a bonus.
The owner should pay attention to small maintenance aspects to make the unit more comfortable. The front door could not lock. The second bathroom's sink plug was gone and there was no toilet paper holder. The third bedroom's bedside cabinet door falls off. In the living room the couch is broken and very uncomfortable. WiFi must be available. A chair and dressing table in the rooms would be more convenient.

I clearly asked for a ground floor with no stairs. On arrival probably 20 steep steps down to the front door. Shower doesn't have a door, water fills the whole bathroom, runs out under the door. TV doesn't work. Master bedroom aircon not working, cold and rusty. No water. Was there 15 minutes, then it was loadshedding, we sat in the dark. You must park your car 100 m from the apartment.
We had a very nice stay. A few problems were that the air conditioner in the living room did not work. We reported it on Saturday. The living room couch was broken on one seat.
Ballito Sands is the perfect place to be. Its excellent location and spacious living space with superb security allows for a wonderful, relaxed holiday. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
The view and location of Ballito Sands 2 is good. The parking space is a bit small, especially with a larger vehicle. The lock-up parking spaces are very small, we couldn't use them. The complex is neat and luxurious, although it feels a bit secluded. The air conditioner in the living room works for a while then it goes off and has to be turned off and on by the wall before working again. The bedside lamps, or at least bedside lamp in the master bedroom, does not work. The unit is not as clean as expected - the white shower mat had dirty spots / stains on arrival. Our overall feeling is that you pay a reasonable rate, only for a sea view and the complex, but that Ballito Sands 2 is not worth the rate.
