House rules

In order to secure a booking, guests are required to pay a breakage deposit, which will be refunded within 7 working days of their departure, provided that the unit is left in the same condition as it was upon arrival and that everything is in order. Any discrepancies or damages in the unit must be reported to the office within 12 working hours.

It is important to note that the unit is strictly non-smoking and guests are required to smoke outside. Failure to comply with this policy could result in the forfeiture of the breakage deposit in order to cover the cost of steam cleaning curtains, carpets, and furniture.

If it is discovered that there are more guests staying in the unit than originally quoted, or if the number of guests exceeds the total allowed capacity, the breakage deposit will be forfeited. Additionally, pets are not allowed in the unit.

Guests should be aware that the unit includes a TV with a DStv connection and unlimited Wi-Fi, but in order to watch DStv, they will need to bring their own decoder, smartcard, and cables or rent them from a local supplier in Margate. It is also recommended that guests bring their own towels, as bed linen is provided.

While complimentary toilet paper and guest soap are provided, it is the guest's responsibility to replenish these items as needed during their stay. Guests are also advised to bring their own dishwashing liquid and other cleaning materials they may require.

Cleaning services can be arranged for guests between 8:30 to 14:30, excluding weekends and public holidays. However, guests must book this service through the office at least 48 hours in advance and payment must be made upfront to the office and not directly to the cleaner. It is important to note that this service is subject to availability, especially during peak seasons.
