One of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been. Best service, Selby and Stanford were brilliant. Food was delicious and value for money is amazing!

No warm welcome, no farewell, owners? Not seen/spoken of. We didn't feel so welcome. Who to arrange something with?. No idea. Miscommunication when agreeing price Gamedrive, zar 2.700 instead of zar 1.900. Commitment to eat and drink during the gamedrive, NOT! 5 hours without eating or drinking. Servants. Plumbing. Location: Breakfast: minimal and not creative. Dinner: mediocre and took a long time before being served. Price-quality not in proportion.
The place was very nice, however, we had several problems with the stay. First, we had accidentally booked the lodge on the wrong dates. The owner was very rude with us and was not willing to change our reservations to the correct dates despite the lodge being basically empty. Second, our reservation cost more simply because we paid in US dollars. Third, the place wouldn't provide us with supper, yet we were not allowed to use our grill.
The place is something special and easily accessible. The eating place on the dam is picture-perfect and the people carried us on their hands.

This guest house is a gem and if you are looking for tranquility, you will be able to relax and unwind here. The rooms and entire guest house are extremely tastefully furnished and the deck outside on the water is simply breathtaking. One can spend the whole day here and just find peace of mind. The breakfast was good and everything was neat and clean. We will definitely come again.
It was nice, just the fact that there is no network, and the WiFi only works when you are at the restaurant and not in the rooms.

Decor was very tasteful. Staff friendly. Fridge is full of drinks, water and snacks but you have to pay for water. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was not included in our stay, so unfortunately cannot give a review on breakfast. The lakeside room was very private and beautiful, they have done the decor so beautifully in natural color and wood that it adapts to natural beauty. The lodge is very nice and we were far enough away from the buzz of the town but close enough to the Phabeni gate of the game park.
Management made an effort with advance special requests. Service and standards very good. Gardens beautiful!

We couldn't ask for better with our first anniversary. Excellent night's rest, sincere, unpretentious and tasty food which is served in an atmosphere of customer care. The view of the water is like a fairy tale with nightingales and indigenous bird species. The Margaritas on the deck were heavenly and the best that we've seen in a while. Thanks to Bambuu for his management as well as Godfrey and Brian for your friendly assistance during our stay. We will definitely stay here again.
Clinton and Brian made sure everything went well for us. The place is very nicely decorated and the room was beautiful so against the lake. Food is off the books and lodge is close enough to Wildlife Park and God's Window.
We stayed there for the weekend, lovely place with the most amazing views of the lake and the forest. The place is clean and the people are friendly. Their breakfast is good, they don't serve lunch and their dinner is not their forte. They can definitely improve on their dinner as I had to send back my starter because it was too salty which they also confirmed. The main meal and dessert could have also been better. But overall, lovely place for a very quiet weekend away.
Every person at Bambuu Lakeside Lodge ensured that we were taken care of. We spent the whole weekend in luxury at the lodge and were never bored. The lodge is extremely clean and tidy and the views are breathtaking! It felt more like we were on an island lodge. We will definitely want to go back again!

Bambuu Lakeside Lodge is one of the most beautiful guest houses in South Africa. The owners are friendly, helpful, hospitable and go out of their way to make sure their guests enjoy their visit.
My friend and I we enjoyed our stay there, Clinton and Pienaar gave us a warm welcome, the lodge is clean, as for the breakfast it was wow! They also gave us complimentary champagne for women's day. We will definitely be going back.
