"We came in from Botswana for an overnight stay."

We arrived on a Sunday and were welcomed with open arms. We got food, probably the tastiest roasts we've ever eaten. It was an exceptional experience!

"A bushveld treasure."

Whilst the photos of the cottage do some justice, the experience of being at the cottage is worth the travel. The accommodation was very clean, with all amenities provided, even thoughtful consumables were made available like mozzie spray, milk and bathing soaps. A note to travellers, the property is deep set in the bushveld, and network can be problem in terms of connectivity due to loadshedding. There is Wi-Fi on the property in a certain 'spot' and full connectivity and Wifi at the The Padstal. The accommodation is beautifully incorporated in to the property and the bushveld and is a truly tranquil environment. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, their children and their animals, with the dogs and cat, who regularly visited at us the cottage and kept the children busy. The accommodation is deeply set in the bushveld, with few options for going out, but we did manage to find the biggest and oldest area Baobab Tree, had lunch at a neighbouring golfcourse on the Limpopo River looking across to Botswana and an absolute life changing visit to another neighbour on their game farm. On the farm itself, we were unfortunate not to take part in the horse-riding as the horses had been retired, but did enjoy an evening game drive, visited the vulture restaurant and went on a peaceful hiking trail. Lots of swimming was also enjoyed. The hosts are super hosts and are the most accommodating one can ever find. The Corner Padstal, an oasis treasure, was a brilliant addition to the property and we definitely recommend a stop over for good, wholesome, value for money food and most probably the best milkshakes in The Southern Hemisphere! We were able to purchase locally made produce and other pretty collectables as well as indigenous plants and not to forget the stress relief of the driving range. We thank Henk and Anel for their time and definitely look forward to returning for the hunting season. Please add more pictures to website for others to view as well.

Our group of 9 men booked 3 units, on our way back from Botswana. Als was great and tidy when we arrived, and dinner was soon made for us [without prior arrangement]. The best barbecue after a long long time. The rooms / units are spacious, luxurious and have everything you could need. Nice woodland atmosphere and the one outdoor shower was well used. Showers were hot and beds comfortable. A few of us soon jumped in the pool [even though it was the month of July] and we hung around the fire late. Breakfast at the paddock was delicious, and Anel made wonderful nut coffee. Jugs full. Feel free to pay them a visit - and make sure you feel like having a nice, quiet visit.

Great place to stay and to get away from the noise of everyday life. Quite far from shops, so ensure you have all your necessities with you before you go.

We were moved to Bushveld rest because it was closer to the wedding venue we were traveling to. There was no water on Sunday morning, so we couldn't shower or use the facilities. It was disappointing.

The 7.5 km road was not pleasant. Bad corrugated iron. Really hurt for my car's part. The apartment is completely basic and nice and clean. I think R950/night for 4 bed and R1100 for six bed is too expensive! Who gave the place a 4 star rating? It's a 2.5 star for sure.

Enjoyed our time at Baobab so much. The owners know the meaning of hospitality. My kids love the farm and to be part of the activities on the farm. Adel treated us to a delicious breakfast. I will definitely be back.

Henk and Anel's motto is not for nothing that you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend! They are really incredibly nice people. It truly felt like we were at home. We will definitely visit there again!

What an experience! The friendly host and wife did everything in their power to make our time there as pleasant as possible. The directions from Henk were fantastic and we saw more wildlife along the roads than one sees in the Kruger. We also saw a beautiful big Kremetart tree!

We stayed one night for a wedding in the area. Anel was very friendly and organized, she kept us up to date with what was going on, asked when she could expect us, when and if we wanted meals and so on. She called us the day we were on our way to the wedding and said she had built accommodation closer to our venue, brand new and if we would be interested. We were very comfortable and it made the ride much easier! The guest house was cutely furnished and so neat and everything was brand new! Many thanks to everyone who is part of the Baobab team!

Our stay was very pleasant. Anel and Henk received us very kindly and were very hospitable. The units are well equipped and they were more than willing to provide anything we needed. The farm and woodland atmosphere is delightful. The dirt road to the farm was nice and only a short distance from the tarmac.

Boabab Farm Cottages are highly recommended for overnight stays. Don't bother to take your own food with you, Anel is a top chef.

Very pleasant and friendly people, delicious food made for us. However, the cleanliness of the accommodation let them down and the fact that the water ran out didn't help either.
