A small swimming pool for cooling off, and a small shop with cute gifts and basic necessities. The restaurant also has delicious food at reasonable prices. We will definitely stop there again.
Anel is incredibly hospitable!
The stay was great with a lovely host. The plumbing needs some work to be done.

The paddock was already closed when we got there tiredly late on a Sunday afternoon. Still, Frank the cook prepared a tasty dinner for us. We really appreciated it. Likewise, the next morning's light breakfast was very nice. The location is conveniently close for an overnight stop from the border post. It's almost on the road, but it didn't bother us at all during the night. As for the room, it is nice and spacious with a king size bed. A question mark is the sheet and light blanket which were too small for the large bed and intended for a smaller bed. The duvet is fine, but on the warm evenings you don't use it. We also conveyed several problems to the owners the next morning, because we certainly didn't feel like fussing about things that were wrong at that time of the evening. Unfortunately, one only notices the problems after the vehicle has been unpacked. Our feeling is that Baobabs has a lot of potential - but needs attention and supervision before one can unequivocally recommend it.

Rustic, but comfortable. Attended wedding ceremony at lodge nearby. Didn't want to drive back to Polokwane after the ceremony. Decided to sleep over at Baobabs Bushveld Rest. Rooms rustic, but completely adequate. Hostess and host very friendly and helpful. Delicious meals and treats at the paddock. Big trees and peaceful atmosphere. Highway passing by does not bother.
The owners of Baobab Bushveld Rest really went out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable! From the breakfast at the neighbouring padstal to going out of the way to get us ice! A lovely homely experience! A great stop over on the way to Botswana or for many of the wedding venues close by!
The room and bedding were dirty. The pipe in the bathroom was leaking, the drain was blocked. The room door can't even open properly or close properly!
If you are a bushveld person and looking for a place to spend the night, Als has what you need.
It was truly a pleasure to be able to spend the night here and the people and nature were warm and friendly and made my stay there just a pleasure.

Thank you, we slept well. The only suggestion I have is that the microwave should be closer to a power plug because the cable is too short and there was no lead. But we managed.
The place is well located and will be much more popular if a little attention is given to the rooms. There was little attention on the inside of the bathroom and for the price it was a bit neglected.
Anel, Henk and the staff made us feel so welcome, almost felt like family. The room had everything that was needed and the air conditioning was a pleasure. The bed was perfect (lots of blues from previous stays), lovely fresh linen and we had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was also delicious and on time, and I must not forget to mention the delicious dried sausage that Henk and Anel sell at the cafe, it must be tasted. Thank you again for your hospitality, we will definitely stay there again when we tour Botswana.
We enjoyed the privacy of the room. The farm stall was also a nice experience. In future, a list of things to do in the area upon arrival would be nice. Even if it's only a list with the nice restaurants in the area.
The place and facilities and equipment are fine. I was there at an off peak time, and found (with the exception of a very brief chat with the friendly and helpful owner) everything was being done by one under resourced receptionist/cook/cleaner.
Problem with admin. They wanted to charge me again while I have already paid in full.

After a long day's travel and for a quick overnight stay before you want to cross the border into Botswana, Baobabs Bushveld Rest offers you the necessary facilities to rest well and pass through the border post early the next day without difficulty.
Was only using as stopping point on a long journey. Anel was quite happy to put an extra bed in room on request. She also suggested her other establishment as perhaps being better suited which was thoughtful. I chose the cheaper, easier access to the N11 option. Impressed with eating options that were not immediately obvious from the internet site so self-catered. Slap chips were excellent however. Minor point - would have been nice to have mentioned the nearest petrol/store for travellers approaching from either direction.
Very peaceful environment. Neat and service is good. Air-con and pool were a plus. Would recommend people to make a stop there.

We used it as a stopover before crossing the border. The stay was good. The only negative aspect was that the person who received us was not very fluent in English. It put a damper on first impressions. Met the owners and they are very nice. I would do something to improve welcome.
The original accommodation was not waffles. The toilet is clogged. The shower doesn't work. The sink sprays you with water when you open it without being informed of the pressure. The sink has no stopper. We were later put in another room which was definitely much better. The cheap option is really not to be recommended. It is a self-catering unit but the cutlery is very poor. Take your own. I would recommend that the ad for accommodation be adjusted to clearly reflect the difference between the accommodation options.
Pleasantly surprised by the neatness and luxury of this place. Really a hidden gem in the Bush!
We arrived there on Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted with a smile. The room was nice and clean and the area quiet. For a one night stay I would recommend it.
