Was a pleasure staying at Barnyard Venue. Very handy half way stop to the Kruger.
We were on our way to the wildlife park and slept over in Ermelo. Very good, neat place. Thank you very much.
I had a lovely stay here. So peaceful and beautiful.
Will definitely visit there again, rooms large and comfortable, very tidy.

We stayed overnight at Barnyard and enjoyed the quiet and the beauty of the area. The accommodation has everything needed.
It was okay though the vehicle is parked a bit far.
Everything was neat and clean. Had a good night's sleep there.
Small tub, but works for the essential use. Great bed, peaceful surroundings.
We wondered about safety. The farmhouse was secured with burglar bars and gates, we only had a room door that could lock. No gates etc.
Overall I would definitely recommend Barnyard Venue. It would be good if they did include an option for breakfast or a way to heat food as we had to drive back and forth to town for food a few times and there was no microwave in the room to keep cold food do not overheat. Otherwise it was good value for money.
Neat place to sleep. We attended a wedding at Smitsfield, it was nice and close and everything was according to our expectations.
As we were just stopping over out of season, the place was fairly empty. The room was clean and neat, with everything you could require for a brief stay.
It was a bit confusing to hand in the key.
The room was advertised with a bar fridge which it did not have. There was no means to keep the room warm nor any alternative lighting provided during loadshedding. The lawns were covered in pig poop and the lady who welcomed us was minimalistic in her duties.
Will stay there again.
We were in the room when we heard something going on with our bakkie. Once there, the persons untied the ladder and took it down. When we asked what do you think you are doing now, the answer was we want to use the ladder for photos and to hang things for matric farewell. It's very poor that they didn't even try to get hold of us and ask. The staff didn't do much to stop them either. It is very weak.
The hosts were not very friendly. Only saw them once over a 2 night stay.
Rooms are located on a working farm so flies and mosquitos are expected. Pack a can of doom.
Great time at Barnyard. Friedel went out of her way to make us feel welcome and make our time there as pleasant as possible.
Beautiful place. Friendly reception. Will definitely use them again in the future.
Everything is clean and tidy, water nice and warm. Nice environment. Only problem is that the shower doors are broken.

I would recommend Barnyard Venue to future guests who would like to stay there. The rooms are neat and have nice decor, and the outside of the guest house is surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens.
Had a great sleep over. Friedel was very friendly.
Unfortunately we didn't get the specific rooms we booked, initially cold water and the heater couldn't work on the cold rainy day. Other than that, we got a very friendly welcome, neat and comfortable rooms, and the warm blankets were a nice surprise!
The pillows needs same attention, bit hard or very soft otherwise it was lovely.
