There are over 20 Antelope species to be found on the property, large and small. These include Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Bushbuck, Blesbuck, Mountain and Common Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Duiker, Steenbuck, Impala, Spring buck (Normal and Black), Nyala, Bushpig ect.
This area boasts over 200 bird species. These include raptors such as Snake Eagles, Buzzards and Secretary Birds as well as numerous different Kingfishers, Hornbills and Sunbirds.

We had a great stay in the big house. It is very spacious and offers everything one needs for a luxury getaway. The house also has a fantastic braai area. The hostess, Deidre, came to greet us personally after our arrival and I think this shows the professionalism with which the lodge is run as she does not live on the premises. The house has a fantastic view and the animals walked close to the house. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.
It feels like it's only you who is there, kids really enjoyed the dam with the slide.
Wildlife lover's paradise, the silence screams for you where you can experience the most beautiful thunder in nature. View wildlife from every window of the room. Stop on the plateau and just get quiet. Nature takes you in. Never go without binoculars!! The stoep is your home in the four-bedroom house.
Words cannot do justice to the experience. The animals walk past 100 m in front of your house and the silence and night sounds are heavenly. Accommodation is great. Will definitely stay there again

We were at a rugby week in Vryheid and decided to explore the silence of the farm and wildlife. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit. Neat with a beautiful view of the surroundings and nature. Was in the middle of winter and slept snuggly warm under our feather duvet. More than enough wood for the fireplace. Can recommend Basangoma Game Ranch, 110%. Really value for money.
Our stay in their very comfortable house was very nice, quiet and cozy. There was plenty of wildlife to see - from the porch or while lying in bed. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.
It is a beautiful place with lots of wildlife to see. Would have appreciated it if the information to enter the premises had been sent to us ahead of time. The fact that the house had not been cleaned was very disappointing.
What a privilege to be able to see so many different types of game from the porch with a coffee in hand. The house was beautifully clean and has everything one needs. The owl's call was the only sound in the night and the stars - beautiful! We would love to go again!

Lovely accommodation, comfortable and well worth the travel to get there and a perfect stop over between the MP Lowveld and Durban. The quiet beauty of the surrounds coupled with the abundance of healthy, diverse wildlife made for a relaxed and privileged stay. Our family will definitely make use of the well set-up and beautiful ranch again.
