The unit features an outdoor bush kitchen that includes a 1-plate gas stove, bar fridge, kettle, crockery, cutlery, and braai utensils.
The unit opens onto a large wooden deck with outdoor sun loungers and large dining table and chairs as well as two sliding doors on either side opening out to the splash pool area, the opposite side the spacious outdoor bush kitchen connecting to the large boma braai area boasting a fun thatch bar area. Guests can cool off in the private cold-water splash pool or relax around the boma. Braai facilities are also available.
Basil's Boma offers private massage therapy on the deck or at the fire place indoors at the unit as well as romantic Bush Brunch Picnic set out and served on the mountain with a spectacular 260 degree views of the Magaliesberg Mountain Range and the Skeerpoort Valley a short distance form the unit at an additional fee - pricing for these additional offers upon request.
Nearby activities include visits to Chameleon Village, exploring the dam wall, boat cruises, Airboat Africa trips, animal interactions, Bill Harrop's hot air ballooning, Segwati Game Reserve quad biking, and Arrow Rest, which offers quad biking and archery, in season late September to November Strawberry Picking and restaurant at Tangaroa Strawberry Farm down the road.

Our stay was amazing, peaceful, and beautiful. Loved being in the bush and experiencing the lovely green scenery with a splash to cool down.
After a struggle with a place that canceled on us we were able to get a place at Basils Boma at short notice and they stood by us and carried us on their hands. Thank you very much for the wonderful service and kindness. If I could give you 10 stars then I would.

We had a lovely time at Basil's Boma - tranquil and relaxing - the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the busy city! The bush chalet unit was perfect. The bed was super comfortable, and we woke up to a lovely view in the mornings, where we then went for early morning hikes up the beautiful mountain. We loved that the kitchen was outside (it was very functional) and the braai area was so big. The wrap around patio with 3 wooden glass doors that opened provided a lovely breeze and openness to the place. It was wonderful that there was a small dipping pool for hot days, but it was freezing! Overall, we had the most amazing experience, and we will definitely be back!

Easy access to mountain bike trails that run through the farm. The accommodation was well maintained, neat and we will definitely return to get a break from the city.
