38 guests' feedbackThe chalets are very cold because of the lovely "forest" location. It was lovely that there were electric blankets and heaters. Everything was very neat, the mattresses of excellent quality and there was enough hot water. I had a wonderful stay.
My colleague and I went straight to the chalet and went to bed for an early next morning show. The water was hot and the chalet neat.
Pleasant stay with friendly people. Very clean and the units are well-equipped. Would have preferred the entertainment area to be open on Saturday afternoon/evening to have something to do, but all good, and enjoyed our stay.
The service from the owners was excellent. I had a problem and their fix exceeded my wildest expectations.
The place was clean and tidy. Small, but equipped with all necessities.
Very basic, would recommend that the fridge be turned on before arrival.
If management wants to get involved in the place again, leave everything in the hands of workers and that is not always a good thing. It's a beautiful place and we had a great time camping, but there are issues.
I did book a room but end up paying more money.
The ad was misleading.
Places are not up to standard at all, taps leak, shower sprays more water outside than in the shower, for R740 per night if I had known the condition of the units I would have stayed in Bethlehem instead. No cleaning or offers for cleaning, the road to the unit is highly dangerous, road and location, would not advise a single person to drive the road, think for sure accommodation price is way too high for the unit.
Big or small will enjoy it, even new couples in love.
The bathroom is beautiful, but there is no outlet for the water when you shower, the shower has no slope, and it fills the entire cottage. There was no fan, it was very hot in the chalet, the fridge was not switched on, and was still blazing hot and not switched on when we arrived at 15h00.
Road to resort very poor and felt unsafe.
Thoroughly enjoyed my days and would love to stay there again.
The road there was terribly bad. The stools outside the room were very soft to sit on. There is no stove or two-plate stove to cook anything. The aircon didn't work well - it was bitterly cold. Would think they would have extra blankets somewhere. We went home a day early. There was no one at the gate - so the security was non-existent when we went out, I just hung the key on the door of the reception room. We thought there might be a restaurant or bar where we could sit, but there was no one. The toilet leaked, so the mat in front of the toilet was soaking wet. When we arrived, the person at the gate went to show us where our cottage was. When we got there he walked away - not giving us any further information about the place.
Location creates a bit of a challenge for those who rely on technology, but if you're looking for peace and quiet book in here. View ostriches, zebras and goats up close while you can wet some line and catch fish.
The road to the venue is slightly bad.
We had an amazing stay and very pleasant.
We just stayed 1 night but really enjoyed the chalet and the nature around us.
The lodge is beautiful, but the road to the lodge was horrible, impassable in some places.

The place was refreshing I enjoyed my visit.
We booked chalet number 4 and it was confirmed by email with us. When we got there, chalet number 4 was not available to us and we were put into chalet number 6. The bathroom of chalet 6 is barely 3 square meters while the bathroom of chalet 4 is about 20 square meters. I couldn't shower there because it was too small. I had to make use of the public ablutions to take a shower. I believe that they should have informed me of the situation beforehand so that if I wanted, I could have changed my accommodation arrangements. Lizzie, the receptionist, tried to explain to me why we had to move but then it was too late. Not satisfied.
We arrived at 13:30 to find out our room has not been cleaned and that another guest's stuff was still in the room. No daily cleaning services. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. Can't fault anything else.
A very beautiful, well-equipped unit in a very safe area. Friendly hosts. Very helpful.
Our hostess was very friendly, warm and accommodating. She even granted our special requests (like using her kitchen for whatever we wanted to prepare that didn't fit in the unit's oven) and went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
We stayed in the one room chalet. The chalets are very well equipped. We just weren't prepared for how cold it can get! There was a heater in the chalet, but I would recommend guests bring extra blankets and maybe a hot water bag or two. The breakfast was delicious and very good value for money.
Nice grass around the fishing area with plenty of shade. Clean accommodation but very basic. No actual bathroom, the shower is in the one room living area. Swimming pool not heated as advertised and green. Nothing else to do than fishing. But again I am sure for fishing purposes the place is beautiful. We wanted it as an overnight destination back home from the seaside and it was too basic for our needs.
Nice place to stay if you're looking for great accommodation.
The place is very nice, just one thing: The bathroom is very small and the shower also small. But other than that it was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Suggestions: change the bathroom layout (somewhat cramped and no surface to put stuff on). Consider replacing the wooden floors with concrete as the floor makes quite a noise. Comfortable beds and more coffee bags! Apart from all those I had a lovely time!
I will definitely recommend you. Beautiful and neat place. Slightly unsafe to drive to you at night. The mattresses are just very uncomfortable. We put other beds' mattresses on top of each other. Otherwise the staff are great and we will come again.
