20 guests' feedbackDefinitely not up to 4 star standard. Needs a lot of attention. We were received in the kitchen amidst all the cooking and smells. I suggest the owner is more involved with less excuses.
Room was neat and well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and well prepared.
We only stayed one night, but everything was wonderful. We stayed in the family room as we have small children. Everything was neat, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the service friendly and pleasant. Thank you very much.
Room and bathroom were neat and clean. Everything worked fine. Beds very comfortable, duvets heavy. Cleaning service good. Enough hot water. We didn't take breakfast. Difficulty finding someone to receive us when we arrived. Struggled easily for 15 minutes (rang all 3 bells and called all 3 numbers). However, the owner apologized by phone. People didn't know we booked but still let us check in based on quote requested earlier in the week and my word. Unfortunately didn't meet owner as we were in a hurry to go to a party. Person was inept when my friend tried to return the key when we checked out. Room was quite cold even with panel heater on wall. Block curtains light up well if you want to sleep late. The guest house is close to a main road and traffic noise is noticeable if you are a light sleeper. Gate sometimes opens by itself and I was worried about my car especially since our room was not directly adjacent to parking. No roofs, only open parking. Parking was a problem one night, and cars had to jam each other to fit. The coffee cups are very impractical (square and coffee quickly gets cold over a large surface area). There is quite a bit of "mold" on bathroom ceiling. I know I'm complaining about a few things, but overall the guest house was good and a good option.

Had a peaceful night at the guest house. the place was very clean. From linens, to towels, the floor, everything just smelled very nice. The cleaning ladies are doing a superb job. The staff is also friendly. The only think that can be done is perhaps get air-cons or heaters. The place is very cold. For food perhaps it should a buffet.

Traffic noise was a bit of a problem but quietened down later.We are not used to sleeping under a duvet so used the blankets and found them heavy. We would have appreciated the use of a microwave to heat something to eat, which we were carrying.

No problem for Battlefields - they also served our 3 other friends who had booked elsewhere breakfast and were extremely hospitable. We will definitely book with Battlefields again and also definitely put it on our list of preferred accommodation. Well done and thank you very much!
Nice stay. It is quite new and everything has been thought of. Volksrest, on the other hand, is not worth the effort.
