Bayala Private Safari Lodges is a family orientated lodge situated 3 hours’ drive north of Durban’s King Shaka airport. Bayala is nestled within a non-malaria, Big 5 private conservancy of close to 30,000 ha of unspoiled wilderness.

Accommodation comprises 24 Double/Twin Rooms. Each room can accommodate 2 guests and comes equipped with either a double bed or twin beds with an en-suite bathroom. Other in-room facilities include air-conditioner or a fan, linen, towels and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

On-site facilities include a swimming pool, a braai area, Wi-Fi, conferencing facilities and secure parking. There is also a guest lounge, rustic bar, informal dining inside or outside where the house chef produces a line-up of dining experiences, from a traditional “braai” under the stars to delicious hot and cold full English breakfasts and lunches served in the lodge or on the veranda next to the pool. View lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino amongst beautiful zebra, giraffe and various other plains game with one of our experienced rangers on an open safari vehicle.

Tours on offer include visits to traditional Zulu villages or rural schools. Tours for the more adventurous at heart include boat cruises, guided game drives, horse-riding, fishing, elephant interaction tours, hiking trails or an animal rehabilitation centre visit. For a relaxing day at the beach, Sodwana Bay and Cape Vidal offer unspoilt white beaches with warm Indian Ocean water. To rejuvenate weary bodies and minds, spoil yourself with a visit to a Health Spa.
