52 guests' feedbackHad an absolute massive place available all to myself. Like half of the house, so it was absolutely great.
I traveled alone to support my son during his rugby tour. Bayhill Drive Lodge was ideal for my requirements and conveniently located near the rugby fields. Place was neat and safe in an estate. Will return in the future.
The place is beautiful. Don't say it's in an estate. Far drive to get in and out. No TV. It's like a hostel. Openly say that everyone must go to the room at 22h00 and no further conversation after 22h00. Not set up for self-care at all. No stove. Place is neat with only the best finish.
Comfortable and spacious room.
Thank you for the good service. Very calm.
Neat, luxurious rooms. Friendly hostess who makes you feel welcome. I can recommend it for sure.
Lovely, neat and clean place to sleep. Quiet seating areas. Friendly reception! Definitely see me again.
Clean, nice garden, great rooms. Use of portion of stoep allowed. Only strange thing is that there is no kitchen/kitchenette. No kitchen sink. No food preparation area. Only a microwave, kettle and fridge. If you plan to eat out only this should not be a problem. An entrance hall serves as a coffee station, lounge and dining room. Small dining table against a wall. with only three chairs.
The guest house is in a very nice area but is unfortunately far from places to eat. The landlady should consider serving breakfast. The general cleanliness as well as the manner of room service need attention.
For a one-night stay, Bayhill Lodge is excellent, but for more than a night, it's not so nice. There is not a TV and the rooms can get cold.
Tight, deathly silence, prim and proper mansion in a rich man's neighborhood, no TV, no music, ideal for the solo traveler I would say, but not the place where Jan Alleman and his family, or friends together, would feel at home.
Ena makes one feel welcome. Nice good quality.
Incredibly safe and very reliable with great support from the hostess on our late arrival. Very accommodating, friendly and service oriented. For the fee we paid it is an absolute wonder. Rooms are spacious and extremely clean with best bathroom. Will stay there again in the future.
The unit was very safe, we enjoyed walking on the golf course. Ena was very friendly and made us feel at home. We will definitely use her unit again.
I can recommend this lodge.
Ena was most welcoming. The accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean. Close to restaurants etc.
Very tidy, value for money and hospitable.
Beautiful place. Tidy. Plus point: golf course restaurant delivers to the door.
Bayhill is a very peaceful place, for the nature lover and tranquility is the watchword. Friendly owner, who makes you feel very much at home. There is a common area for eating, making coffee, the fridge and hanging out. A very homely atmosphere and the common area forces you to get to know all the other guests.
There is no kitchen facility. The owner tells you that bedtime is 22:00. You really feel as if you are intruding on someone's space.
Great place to be. Highly recommended.
It's a beautiful house, carefully and artistically decorated, with spacious rooms and all the necessary facilities. The park-like environment is a loop court and the swimming pool offers welcome relief from the Lowveld heat. Ena is a caring and considerate hostess who does everything possible to make guests feel at home. She assisted us very well when a health crisis arose. The four stars for location is because it is located quite far out of town, but on the other hand the estate is super safe and feels like one is spending the night in nature.
Lovely location, great value for money and very homey.
It's all very nice, but the owner has her own rules. You have to be back in the room and quiet by 10 o'clock, but her grandchildren can wake you up by 6 o'clock! You can make tea and coffee, but may not drink it in the room, because her carpets. You can't come and go as you please because the gate has to call the owner every time you enter. For R200 more I would rather have slept in the Town Lodge in Nelspruit.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It felt like going to stay at the home of a favourite aunt. Lots of personal touches and such beautiful surroundings with attention to every detail.
Highly recommended.
The place is affordable and a nice place to stay. Friendly people, I would love to visit again.
We had a wonderful stay and felt very safe. The house was spacious and had beautiful rooms with bathrooms that were nice and spotless. The coffee station also had delicious biscuits and a microwave and small fridge which was all we needed for our weekend.
See stars.
Photos and self-catering marketing are misleading. The kitchen facilities are insufficient for self-catering and the owner has indicated that only part of the veranda may be used, but not the lights, because it disturbs her permanent tenant. There were two small lights for the porch which were insufficient. With the incident regarding the underfloor heating's use, the owner also mentioned that the stoep was not included in the rent.
We were happy with our two nights at 30 Bay Hill Drive. Ena specially arranged for flowers in our room when I asked, and went out of her way to make sure we had the best room for our time there. Excellent communication, and comfortable amenities.
Very neat. Will stay again.
The guest house is located in a lovely, peaceful environment, close to nature with beautiful views from our room and bathroom. Tasteful facilities and decor made our stay very special and comfortable. Our reception was warm and very accommodating. We will definitely spend the night there again and even take people with us or refer them. Thank you very much Ena for an exceptional place at a very reasonable price.
Because of the safety and the tranquility, you can sleep with peace of mind. And the homeliness makes you feel right at home. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.
We were received very kindly. Beautiful room and surroundings. Very neat and spacious. Thanks to our hostess.
It was the most beautiful, neatest place. We were only there one night, but it was such a nice warm atmosphere. So real home away from home. Aunt Ena was a very friendly hostess. It was raining when we were there on Saturday night, so we didn't realize our room had a sliding door until the next morning. Next time we will definitely stay longer and then open the sliding door and walk around the estate's grounds. Thank you for a lovely quiet night's rest!
We were two lady friends visiting White River for the weekend. This accommodation is in a secure location within a golf estate. We were close to Casterbridge and Nelspruit. The accommodation is value for money in a beautiful modern house. I had coffee early next to the small river flowing past the house, with a beautiful sunrise and birds singing. There is no TV which I actually missed, just to have back ground music while getting dressed, etc. Ena is a friendly host and made sure we were taken care off. We will definitely use this house again when we are in White River.
Friendly and very beautiful! Stay there again next year for sure.
Owner went out of her way to assist us. Need and tidy. Everything was in order and in place. Will be back.
I would definitely recommend 30 Bayhill Drive to anyone. I have never slept so well in a guest house before! The rooms are very luxurious and spacious, and also private. The beds are particularly comfortable, and the guest house is located in a quiet, peaceful part of the scenic estate. The bathrooms are larger and more luxurious than you would find in a traditional guest house, everything is painstakingly neat. There are enough cupboards for all your clothes, a spacious garden in which you can walk around, and the estate is very secure. I'm usually someone who complains easily, and I couldn't find any fault with Bayhill Drive 30. Ena, the owner, is very hospitable and helpful. I feel I definitely got value for money and I will definitely stay at 30 Bayhill Drive again when I'm in White River!
The location is excellent with a beautiful peaceful safe environment. Ena Swart is friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. We had a great stay and will definitely go again if we are in the area.
The place is clean, tidy, open and modern. There are windows and a beautiful setting. We enjoyed it very much!
This place definitely stands head and shoulders above others. Clean, spacious, and beautiful!
I rested very nicely and peacefully. Thank you. Ena.
Comfortable with basic self-catering. Better to eat out as there are no kitchen facilities, only coffee and rusks. A lovely garden and pool and helpful owners.
We received a good welcome, but the layout was not suitable or comfortable for the following reasons: Access to the guest rooms which are in the same house as the owner and it is not suitable for the elderly due to the steep stairs. Trouble was made with an extra request for a braai, but, again, the lack of private space makes things awkward between customers and long-term tenant on the same premises. Small coffee station, small fridge and no washing up facilities to wash cups or plates. Currently, the establishment is simply only for overnight purposes and not for visiting at all. All private conversations fall on owner's ears with their residence on the second floor. Was ordered (and not asked) for silence where we had to listen to how the tenant's family could visit. Double standards for the amount of money paid. Registering your fingerprints at security is hugely inconvenient. Takes a lot of effort. We also feel customer service and professionalism could improve.
There are no clean glasses or cups the next day, there are no plates or knives or forks when you bring takeaways back to eat, no detergents to wash out the bath, no fresh water in rooms the next day. Rooms are not serviced at all, dirty cups stay at the entrance hall, no sink to wash anything out (except in your bathroom), we stayed 4 days, place is really very nice. Suggestion: Put kettle and small microwave in room with necessities, very disturbing to make coffee in entrance hall when others are still sleeping.
Mrs. Ena welcomed us very kindly. The Country Estate is beautiful. Security is very good. Room is very clean and tidy and the environment is quiet. Value for money.
Bayhill Drive 30 is the place to be, it's worth every cent!
Good, old-fashioned hospitality. Dankie Ena. We strongly recommend this accommodation for anybody wanting to see the Lowveld area. You're so close to civilisation, yet you feel like you're in the countryside. The rooms are extremely comfortable. Clean, clean, clean!
We had a great stay in a beautiful room with an excellent bathroom en suite. Ena Swart received us kindly - and we had a nice time with each other. I highly recommend 30 Bayhill Drive!
The stay was pleasant. Friendly reception. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Beautiful garden and area. Would recommend it.
