21 guests' feedbackIt was one of the nicest holiday homes ever! There is everything you need and the view is just beyond beautiful. I miss those nice big coffee mugs, comfortable chairs on the porch and the little fire burning.
We had a lovely week and were impressed with how comfortably the house was furnished. The kitchen has everything one needs. The best is of course the beautiful view from the stoep and to braai there. Unfortunately, the weather was such that we could not hang out outside every day, but the house's living room and living area were arranged in such a way that we could still comfortably sit inside and have a good time. We will definitely be back again, we really enjoyed it! All the arrangements were also very well and kindly communicated.

House is a little shabby and there is no beach nearby but otherwise fine.
From booking to departure it was a great experience. Heinrich (owner) and Norma (contact person in Gourits) ensured that everything was as desired and regularly followed up with WhatsApp if we needed anything. The house has everything for a comfortable stay, whether for a weekend or longer: dishwasher, fridges, gas stove (load shedding can come), TV with DStv. The braai place is on the stoep and we mostly hung out there with the whales who put on a show every day. There is a tidal pool within walking and sight distance and rocks with puddles that can keep kids (and adults) entertained for hours. Our dog really enjoyed it and the front lawn was big enough that she wasn't confined. I can only mention that a large dog or Jack Russels will easily get over the fence, but it is sufficient to prevent children and dog-children from wandering into the street.
Location was perfect for some of the younger kids who wanted to fish right in front of the house. The fact that our dogs could enjoy it with us made the weekend perfect.
Excellent location, with sea view, hear the waves breaking at night. Ideal home for family with animals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any family.
Only improvement that can be made is that the owner can provide coffee for one morning. Just to give a chance to get to stores.
Cleaners need to be taken to task - fridge had substantial "leaked" dried blood in it, counter tops were not clean. The property is lovely, owner (who does not live there) was very helpful with a few issues.

The best break I've ever had! Beautiful place, tidy, and has everything one could need in a kitchen.

Beautiful beach house right on the beach in front of a large tidal pool, very neat and clean and eqipped with absolutely everything. We all had an amazing weekend!
Spacious and well equipped home with spotless bed linen and towels. Lovely sitting on the veranda with morning coffee and late afternoon drink while we watched the whales frolic in the sea. Children were just unhappy because the advertised DSTV was not available.
Comfortable and very nice view of the sea. Hear the waves breaking on the rocks in the evening. A holiday of a thousand.
