This was our second visit and will definitely come again.
We were very pleased with the stay and feel that the photos reflect the place correctly. The blinds need attention, but the owners are aware of it. The owner was also there immediately when the one toilet and light did not work and was very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay there again in the future. It would have been very nice if there were at least some tea bags, instant coffee and 250 ml of milk for people who arrive very late. I would also have appreciated at least one two-point plug and a hair dryer, and a sponge scrubber for dirty pans. Two suggestions I wouldn't mind paying for.
We felt at home and welcome right from the start and were immediately able to take advantage of every moment. The cottage is well equipped and sensibly furnished. The personal involvement and friendliness of the owner and manager was another plus. Will definitely use this gem again.

The cottage was clean, tidy, and offered an amazing view of the sea that we absolutely loved. The beauty of the ocean was a highlight of our stay, and we spent many hours admiring it from the comfort of the cottage. One aspect that stood out to us was the extra effort made to ease loadshedding. We were impressed to find rechargeable LED lights in the cottage, which proved to be a huge help during power outages. The lights provided us with enough illumination to move around the cottage comfortably, and we appreciated the thoughtfulness. We were also happy to find that the wifi still worked during loadshedding, which was a welcome surprise. It was important for us to stay connected during our stay, and the fact that the wifi remained operational was a huge plus. Overall, we highly recommend Beach Cottage 1 for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We look forward to returning in the future.

We could just relax and hang out together with a picture-perfect view from the porch. It was perfect for our morning coffees and a sundowner. All facilities were clean and comfortable. We come again!

Really a lovely little cottage along the seaside. If you have very small kids the stairs will be a problem for you. Location is also a bit far from the town and immediate shops if you need anything quick, so rather just take it all. But overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed listening to the waves and fresh ocean smells.

This is a real cottage by the sea. At night you go to sleep with the noise of the sea in your ears. It's well equipped and has everything you need. Would be nice if there were a little more details in the cottage about nice places to eat and places of interest in the area.

We enjoyed staying at Beach House for 3 nights. Although it was winter and cold, it was cosy inside, especially when the fire was lit upstairs. The house was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. The big favourite was of course the fact that we were so close to the beach and the pedestrian walkway. Beach Cottage 1 is a lovely holiday home. We really enjoyed it and relaxed. The house is equipped with everything you need for self-catering. The view of the sea is beautiful and the sunsets very lovely. The owners even came to say hello. I definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

The location of the house is good and makes it easy to walk to the sea. Maybe just a little attention could be paid to the bedding. It was clean, but it was outdated. The sofas on the upper floor could do with a coat of paint. Nevertheless, we had a great time.

The cottage is well situated and has everything you need. The service and communication from the host was excellent. I would definitely return.
The only downside was that there was no swimming beach nearby. It's perfect for a family with small children who play in rock pools.

The cottage is located in a great spot, with sea views from the upper floor and from one of the downstairs bedrooms, and in close proximity to the walking trail overlooking the sea. The cottage has everything one needs, and when we found that the kettle was tripping the electricity and we emailed the owners, we received a replacement kettle in about a half-hour, which was excellent service.
Anine was excellent. She was always available, we had a small issue which sorted ASAP! Well done, Anine.
Lovely cottage in a lovely location, but the DStv wasn't working for the duration of our stay. The cupboards in the kitchen probably need a good scrub as the handles were all sticky. We couldn't set the alarm at night as per the instructions given to us and had to sort it out ourselves by getting the security company in as the instructions given were incorrect. There is also a building site across the road which was very noisy during the day and we couldn't use the balcony during the day due to the builders staring at us.
Please update the security information because we didn’t know that we had to all stand still in the house in order to arm/active the alarm from inside the house.

Perfect getaway even with rain (built-in braai) to see, hear and smell the sea! There are some stairs that made it a little difficult with a toddler, but even she enjoyed the walks along the sea and playing in the pools. The location is ideal - out of the hustle and bustle of Hermanus but also close enough to explore it. The dishwasher was a winner! The towels smelled amazing.
Beach Cottage 1 was beautiful, well-equipped and very close to the walking or jogging track. Big enough for a family of 4 to 6. We enjoyed the large patio. Fine detail such as chocolate on arrival was very special. We will visit Beach Cottage again.

We had a wonderful time. Especially enjoyed the upstairs family room with the sea view and built in braai area. Would not recommend to families with small children or elderly persons who have difficulty with balance and knee problems as the stairs to the upstairs family room are very steep. Highly recommended.

This was supposed to be just a stopover for two days to watch some whales in Hermanus before we went home, but then it became the most enjoyable part of our whole holiday and extended of course! We could see the whales right from the ground floor and even better from the balcony. View from the top floor is breathtaking. House is clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. My father cannot climb stairs and ground floor was very convenient for him. Will definitely go again - this time just for much longer.

The house has everything you need and the decor also creates a beach theme. A beautiful sea view. Only problem was the DStv that didn't want to play, but everything else was great. Thank you.
The place is somewhat cluttered. Lots of dust in general and unnecessary ornaments. Used toothpicks on floor in bedroom. Tablecloth had glass and marinade stains of previous stay(s). Crumbs all over the place. Ice and bread/garlic rolls left in freezer. Couch mattresses were very dirty, had to flip them around and cover with our own blankets. Small pieces of soap in all bathrooms of previous stay(s). All loose carpets had to be shaken out. Dust and hair in all corners of room and under bed. DStv was intermittent. This place was not cleaned properly before our stay. Won't be coming back.

We had a great time, the house has the perfect location. All I suggest is that maybe you just remind people to take extra toilet paper, especially if it's a group of people.
A very pleasant stay. Everything is chosen carefully and with good taste. The layout and location of the residence is unimproved. The visitor book goes back several years - not one negative comment was observed. If the years allow it we will come again.
We went there before the main holiday season began and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. Nice cottage for a weekend.
It was everything and more we needed. The sea view, the tranquility, the cleanliness and just the break from everyday stressful life. Only one experience that left me a bit concerned was the fact that our neighbors had to call the police because he suspected petrol had been stolen from his vehicle, but other than that I would return anytime and soon. The check-out time can only be extended a little, because we had a bit of fun the night before and had to get up early in the morning with tired bodies to pack and start the hour and a half drive back to Cape Town.
