The place was much more than we expected. Walking distance to the beach which the kids loved. It was really a very nice holiday.
Had wonderful days. Amazing host and hostess who looked after our needs. It is a heritage house and therefore one must realize that not everything works 100%, e.g. windows struggling a bit.

Accommodation was excellent but I think the one bedroom accommodation is way overpriced compared to similar accommodation in Port Nolloth.
"Dilapidated" is the word. I was disappointed. Drain pipes run through room. Relaxation place has 3 old bad looking doors in front of you. Partition was made with it. Manager Dee is a beautiful person. Owner thinks I should go see what guest houses that charge that rate look like. Photos do not look like what you get.
Cute place for a short, single visit. Stairs are not for heavy bags, old people or small children (as described in the information).
Our accommodation was perfect in every aspect (clean, neat, secure, and met all our needs). Helen is an amazing person with an incredible work ethic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, even when we locked ourselves out! We highly recommend the Beach Shack and will definitely return soon.

Very neat rooms. The sea is right in front of you. Walking distance from shops, restaurants and the sea. I didn't really like the fact that my car had to stand in front, very close to the road - but I certainly can't compare that area with Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
We were warmly received. Accommodation was very neat and clean. They even arranged a hairdryer for me. However, we were restless with our car and buggy parked in the street.
The owner was very friendly and accommodating, accommodated us a day earlier and moved our dates so that we still only pay for 2 nights. The unit had no form of milk for tea/coffee. Space for tea making and microwave use is very limited. A couch is in space. Two loose chairs might work better. Fridge is the bedside table on one side, the sounds of the fridge are annoying at night so against one's ears. Pillow is right next to the fridge's back. The unit is lovely on the sea front but does not feel safe. Beggars come into the yard and knock directly on the room door. This happened 3 times in the two days. It feels very unsafe for Gautenians. There is no secure parking. Our car is parked in the street in front of the unit. It does not feel too safe for Gautenians either.
Which is very cold, but great for kitesurfing.
Port Neolith is a very bleak but pretty area. It is perfect to be on the beach road. I would not like to be a road back with no view of the sea.
The unit is not very clean. There are no services provided included in the price. You get 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 days. So have to buy your own. Showers are pathetic, half-clogged and sink faucets you have to handle well otherwise they fall out of the wall. Definitely wouldn't recommend the place at the current price.
