29 guests' feedbackHost great and friendly, but rental could use some upgrades to make stay better. No hand soaps are present. Only 1 roll of toilet paper supplied. No dish soap or sponges provided. No towels for use. No cleaning supplies. Had to go to the local grocery store to purchase all the bare minimums that exist at other places. No air conditioning, which was our responsibility to verify. Fans in rooms are broken or not working to full capacity, making for uncomfortable heat. Again, host was great and communicative, but other than that, the fact that everything was needed to be bought on own or not working caused a lack of enjoyment.
Upon arrival we were told that the washing machine and tumble dryer were not working and the owner was not going to attend to them now. The master bedroom is badly moldy and peeling. Not good for your health. The lattice gate at the door has trouble closing as well.
The apartment was well located in Manaba beach. It needs a good clean & paint. The damp issue needs to be seen to. We couldn't use some of the cupboards as the musty smell was so bad. Some the windows can't/don't open.
Second time there and both times we got sick.

There was nothing wrong with the stay itself. Our entire family of 6 just struggled with chronic diarrhea which we suspect had something to do with the water, which was a shame.
The location, very good view of the sea, place very clean. There are a few things that need attention, such as a sliding door that opens with difficulty and a sofa that feels like it has holes in it. The only change I would like to see is that they build a braai in front of the unit, because the old people couldn't climb stairs to the swimming pool and braai facilities, so those who could climb had to be on one side, then had to carry food back home for other. We will definitely go there again, was worth every penny.
We booked Beau Vista to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday and had an amazing time there. Ethel was wonderful and very accommodating. Well worth the price.
I think the unit needs paint inside, especially the doors etc. (it will display better) The shower door in the second bathroom needs repair or replacement.
Well located, neat apartment. Had a very comfortable stay with our children over the weekend.
I would return to Beau Vista at any time. Would love to stay there permanently. Big spacious house.

First of all, thank you Ethel for your hospitality and helpfulness and we were so grateful for your gas barbecue that you lent us. What's a holiday without a barbecue, although we could also have a great time upstairs by the swimming pool. The apartment was very tidy, beds very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The fact that the apartment has good security doors and is fenced, put one at ease. The view and the sound of the waves contributed to a wonderful holiday. The tidal pool and beach within walking distance was a big plus and for the anglers, the rocks in front are ideal. We could rest well. Cape Town is far, but I just wanted to book again for next December! Thank you very much.

What a wonderful experience it was. After booking and paying for our accommodation with another accommodation agency and having to spend a bitterly cold night in wooden houses with no power and water, we are so helpfully assisted by 5 staff members with a long list of preferences. Our stay at Beau Vista was just magical, the apartment was spacious and clean and the views are spectacular, we enjoyed every second of our stay. Awesome sea view thought being a ground floor unit. Ethel was a gracious host and very friendly, and would definitely come back again and again.
It was great to be able to see and experience the ocean during our stay. You simply walk across the street to the tidal pool and then it's just another short distance to the beach. The apartment was well equipped and the service we got from the administrator was good. We never felt unsafe. The flat needs a bit of an upgrade, but it didn't put us off booking our stay here again.
The place was not cleaned properly. Refrigerator stinks and it's time for a new one. The cutlery, glass plates, pots and all crockery smell and are dirty. There is a nuisance of ants. The duvet inners are dirty, the inside of the cupboards are dirty. Water leaks in from the upper balcony when it rains. No working alarm system. One window falls apart. The view is great but for the unit we stayed in, no really man you don't rent a place for that money if it looks like that.
This was breathtaking. Only 300 from the beach, I measured it myself. The beach is lovely. The walk there is convenient with no traffic. There's a tidal pool less than 100 m from the unit. The unit is ideally located for fishermen. There are 2 rooms, one with a king size and the other with a single and bunk bed. The description of the contents of the apartment is accurate, but the convenience is beyond what is able to be described. I would recommend any family of 7 or less to use Beau Vista for a holiday break away. My only complaint is that I wasn't able to stay for longer.
We had such a nice stay, we didn't want to go home! It is therefore a place that one will visit again and again. Conveniently close to Uvongo and Margate.
