Beesdam was perfectly located for visiting with my student children. Was clean and slept well.
Staff were kind and patient. Whilst we only stayed one evening, they assisted us with checking in earlier than we originally planned so that we could get to our commitments for the day.

This is the best value for money. I recommend it for families and single people. And there is no load shedding.
I have only one suggestion that I noticed during our stay. By the curtain next to the door there is a section that is open. I had the curtain around the door handle because when you walk out of the bathroom, people can see through it. And because the apartment is by the walk-through, that was a concern. We will be part of the NWU family for the next 4 years, and will definitely stay at Beesdam again. Thank you for your kind welcome.

The reception was very friendly and the room was very clean when I entered. I really appreciated the fact that you had access to Netflix, a fridge and a big, luxurious bed! The location of the guesthouse is also very convenient, as you can quickly and safely go to the store if you need something, plus the extra security from campus makes you feel even more at ease. Overall one of the best places to stay!

Perfect location, at the main gate of the NWU. Secure parking and neat rooms with white bed linen and essentials. Just a pity the power went out during the night which resulted in a cold shower, a dead cell phone and no use of TV, kettle and other electronic equipment. Thought it was loadshedding but upon inquiry when I signed out, the main switch of the outbuildings "tripped".

Hostess was kind enough to let us into our big room earlier for our stay during Aardklop Fees. Well equipped with aircon and a good bed. Bath and a shower is a bonus. Also DSTV and Netflix. Will stay there again.

Our room was wonderfully spacious and clean. Secure parking and walking distance to the university and nearest shopping centre. Lucy is a lovely, kind, considerate and helpful hostess! The only recommendation we would make is to have a mirror/mirror cabinet near an electrical plug for blow drying hair/doing makeup etc.
Was involved with the university and accommodation was ideally located.
My son overnighted with his partner following a rugby match. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the big TV was an absolute bonus for my sport-loving son. it was close to the university rugby fields as well as local takeaways. Very convenient for what was needed.
Everything was well except there was only one 2-point plug and no plug wanted to go in there. Wi-Fi was a bit weak at times but overall a nice stay! Would book again.

The service was very friendly and the administration around the reservation and check-in went smoothly. The room was clean, comfortable and completely adequate for what we needed.
100% convenient and centrally located for someone visiting the university. Opposite the campus' main gate and within walking distance of the Bult.
Thank you very much for good service! We drove 10 hours and were only able to check in at almost midnight and they took out the key and the charge lights were on while we arrived in loadshedding!

We often go home here and are always warmly received. We try a different room each time for variety and have never been disappointed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The WiFi works well. We only struggled to watch Netflix one night. There was a message that kept saying too many people are now subscribed to the account. We gave up and entertained ourselves with YouTube on the giant screen. Lucy is a caring hostess who handles any query very competently.

Great, safe sleep. At the university and safe. Room was small, but completely adequate for one night's sleep.
The only problem I foresee is the parking needs some attention. The room itself was very nice to spend the night in and the reception was very friendly. Even on his own initiative offered us a better room that was available without any complaints or requests. Will stay there again.
Bedside lamp didn't work, but otherwise everything was fantastic.
I have known the place since 25 years ago as Venter Gastehuis. The upgrade is very obvious and that's good. The price is acceptable for the self-catering accommodation. Parking is sufficient. The units are well equipped for what is needed. But they will have to look very urgently at form of power supply during load shedding. The Wi-Fi: the password must be clearly visible in every room. And the new TV installations must be connected to DStv or other providers, because we couldn't use the TV at all. Put the construction of the coffee shop on hold first and make sure that each unit is fully functional.

Clean, tidy, accommodation within walking distance to our destination in Klerksdorp the same evening with evening function and then fast food restaurants in Potchefstroom open 24 hours a day/night.

We went to pick up our daughters from the university and this guest house is literally across the street from the 2 children's residences. Can highly recommend it to parents. The rooms are spacious. The linen fresh. I had 2 bookings shortly after each other: one was in Simmentaler and the other in Bonsmara. Simmentaler was not inside the lovely, old house, but also fantastic, with a huge television! Bonsmara is inside the house, smaller television, but complete like a small apartment (with its own balcony). I had a wonderful stay. Lucy was a very helpful and caring hostess. I heartily recommend Beesdam.

What a wonderful place with the kindest, most hospitable people and workers. It's pretty clean. Definitely the only place in Potch where we will stay now. Walking distance from OR and restaurants.
