The unit was beautifully clean. Electric blanket on the bed. It was cold. In the drawers there are headache pills, sewing kit. Sunday morning we got breakfast vouchers. Bell Air you guys. Is the best.
BelAir was perfect for the purpose we booked it for. It was an overnight stay on the way back from vacation. We could enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning and be back on the road easily and quickly. In the early evening the traffic is a bit disturbing, but at bedtime it didn't bother.
We had a wonderful overnight stay and superb breakfast the next morning. Friendly, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

It was pleasant and friendly.
We booked 4 rooms for 6 people (2 were sharing), everything was very nice and neat. The downside was that we used the 'lapa' on Friday night, went for our event on Saturday, and came back Saturday night to find that the lapa was not cleaned at all (maybe because it was the weekend?). Staff was very helpful, offered us vouchers for breakfast because we had to leave early for our shooting event. Will use again. Thank you.
Everything was good. Place was nice, friendly service. All advice I would suggest is to have lamps in the room that work during loadshedding. It is pitch black in the evening. Breakfast was delicious.
Unfortunately, the road next to the guest house carries very heavy traffic. There is no way a light sleeper would sleep here. DSTV only limited channels?

Very nice and neat facilities are good, but the trucks make a lot of noise.
We like to stop at BelAir when traveling to our holiday destination in Sodwana. Carina is always so helpful and waits patiently until sometimes we can only check in after 22:00.

BelAir is a very cool place. The aunt is incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything. We were welcomed with open arms, where our rooms x2 were perfect. We also enjoyed an English breakfast the next day. We will definitely stay at Belair again if we pass by.
We were very kindly received by Carina Vos and immediately felt welcome. Some people just have the gift of working with people. I watched her work with a difficult guest. She handled the whole situation with such compassion and calmness. I was very, very impressed. The rooms are spacious with interesting decor. It's clean and tidy. I would definitely stay there again.

Over slept for wedding no deficits. We didn't eat.
Very friendly reception and good feedback via email after we booked. The double room unfortunately smelled badly of cigarette smoke, but was tidy. There was no hot water in the shower, but in the bath. Suggestion: make provision for a discount if you cannot serve breakfast. The place was full and at reception we were asked not to take breakfast. Furthermore, it is value for money.
Trucks make too much noise throughout the night for tired travelers to get a good night's rest.
Clean, tidy, friendly reception, good service, delicious breakfast, excellent value for money, secure parking, long term options and space for meetings. Would recommend BelAir to anyone. The only negative comment, and I'm sorry to say this, is that the bathroom floor of the particular room I went home to was extremely slippery and I slipped, fell and suffered a nasty knee injury.

The place is very neat and clean. Everything needed was available. The food is also very well prepared. Can really recommend the place.
We loved the vintage car theme. Although there was load shedding, at least there was one plug for light and to charge our phones. But, there was no water and we recommend they install a generator so that the water pumps can operate and that the DStv and WiFi can stay on during a power interruption.
Enjoyed our stay. Big parking area allowed us to park our boats overnight en route to Pongola Dam.

Very hospitable, clean and tidy!
Upon arrival we were welcomed and showed our room which warm an inviting. We got free sherry as it was very cold. What an awesome place to sleep at. We couldn't stay for breakfast and they were kind enough to offer to make us sandwiches for the road. We will definitely be back.

We were booked for 2 nights at BelAir guest house. Friendly Carina waited for us outside and we immediately felt at home. We were in room 9 and were surprised by the space in the room and bathroom. The room was nice and light, fresh, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was freshly prepared, neatly presented and more than enough. Congratulations to the owner and Carina (who runs the guest house for him) you have a beautiful guest house and our wish for you is that the bookings will go from strength to strength - we love the old car theme and that petrol pump in the dining room (if he disappears, you know where to look). At the time of our stay, the owner was building a beautiful lapa where the guests will be able to enjoy a braai. Everything that is beautiful for you and Carina, you will definitely see us again even if we only drive through Piet Retief. Thank you again for your hospitality and warm personality.
We had a very nice stay. We were on our way to Mozambique and slept there and on the way back again. There is a delicious braai corner. Rooms are very clean and the service very friendly. I can definitely recommend the place.

We stayed overnight at Bel-Air on our way to the coast and can recommend it without a doubt.
I was already impressed at BelAir even before I arrived there. This was due to the excellent customer contact by Carina beforehand - she really went out of her way to accommodate us with our special requirements around dinner. By the time we arrived we'd already become "good friends" through our phone conversation. Regarding the accommodation I can only testify that it was a pleasure and privilege - clean and neat, dinner was a lovely treat of good "boerekos". Breakfast was also good. I truly want to thank Carina and her husband for their friendliness and hospitality. We will definitely go there again on our way to our holiday destination.
What a wonderful experience. Carina and Kotie welcomed us warmly. All the electricity was out and they came to greet us with a light in hand. The power was restored again quickly. The guest house's vintage car theme is something different and worth a photograph. The rooms are spacious and mine had a bath and a shower. The finer things like potpourri in the cupboard was extraordinary. Carina made a special effort and rose before sunrise to make provisions for my journey (takeaway breakfast). Only one night and it felt like I was leaving family behind. Thank you Carina and Kotie!
Although the municipal water pressure is very weak, the owners have gone the extra mile to have their own generator to ensure that you can enjoy a warm shower. The breakfast was lovely, well presented and with warm hospitality. I would highly recommend Bel Air for a stop over.
The guest house is very special with the vintage car theme. It brings back good memories. The location, service and appearance of the house is great.
We slept great for the one night we booked. The road next door is a bit busy with heavy vehicles if you sit outside, but not bothered in room. Water supply in shower in the Ford room not as desired (hot, then cold and then hot again).
It was very new and the lady who managed it was very helpful and polite. She did everything she could to help us out. However, some rooms were close to the main road can be noisy from the cars passing plus the mattresses were rather hard. Overall, a very decent place to stay on a roadtrip.
Space for the kids to run and stretch their legs. Carlien is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stopover and I especially appreciated the well lit mirror with a table and plug nearby for a hairdryer. We would certainly stay over again.

Warm water and water pressure is a problem. The units are beautiful. Sadly no breakfast before 07:00.
Good points: the room is big and comfortable and the owner is friendly and helpful. Bad points: there is no air conditioning and the trucks pass by the guest house and are very disturbing during the night.
We have stayed in guesthouses before and honestly, BelAir is the very first place we will return to. Cleaner than clean, good food and company. Very private and perfect for a business trip or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We can't wait to go back to sleep. They are wheelchair friendly for our children and this makes it a nice and comfortable visit for the whole family. If you're looking for value for money - then don't miss BelAir!
We enjoyed our stay mainly because the Caretaker, Karina, was very welcoming and went the extra mile to meet our requirements. For example, we wanted eggs prepared a certain way and she personally made an effort to match that. The accommodation itself is very clean and we were so comfortable that we'd stay there again.
