Belcharto Self-catering Cottages are situated on the renowned Wine Route section of Bottelary Road near Stellenbosch. We offer comfortable accommodation in this prime area, centrally located between many well-known wine estates, all the main roads and wonderful activities.
Each cottage can accommodate 4 adults and 1 child and comprises 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and washbasin.
A living area leads into a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, and much more. The cottage is serviced every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, not on public holidays and weekends. We offer tea, coffee, and milk, on arrival. There is a TV in the living area with OpenView and free Wi-Fi. We supply heaters, blankets, and a hair dryer. There is a braai area, a patio, a sparkling pool, and undercover parking for your vehicle.
Towels and linen are supplied, except swimming towels, so please bring your own. The entire property is fenced in with electric fencing to ensure safety and peace of mind for our guests, and a manager is available at all times in case of emergencies.
The hall patio overlooking the pool is available as an entertainment area for large groups by prior arrangement. Belcharto is only 15 km away from Stellenbosch, and 14 km away from Tyger Valley Centre, Access City factory centre is 8 km away. There are great grocery shops, laundry, and takeaways only 5 km away. There are 36 wine farms to visit within an 18 km radius of Belcharto as well as fine restaurants for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

The unit is located on a farm very close to Stellenbosch. Nice view from your porch over vineyards and farm. Swimming pool also helped with the heat. Would definitely stay there again.
Absolute pleasure staying in this environment, quiet, accessible enough, beautiful view every morning. Host Mr. Kobus was very helpful and accommodating. Hopefully again soon.
Stay was great - such a gorgeous location amongst the vineyards. But we were travelling from far, so couldn't arrive before dark. That made it difficult to find the turn off from the main Rd. Some larger signage for the accommodation would help!
We attended a wedding so did not spend alot of time at the accomodation. They stay was fine, but family of ours stayed just up the road at Eikenhof in much nicer places for half the cost. It was quite expensive for the stay. They mentioned they are going to do some much needed renevations. Indoors was more than acceptable, but outdoors needed some work and cleaning up. The Wifi was not usable, we had to disconnect to be able to do anything.
Was New Years there. There was socializing and no privacy. Cottages are very close together, so you must respect each other's space. 2 horrible nights and the last night was better.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I was disappointed with the directions given. A location / pin was sent to me; however, it directed me somewhere else. What should have taken me 45 minutes to 1 hour to drive took me almost 2 hours. Better directions given would be: opposite the Palms/ close to the golf course/ Fisher Road. I was on the other side of the mountain and luckily, eventually drove to a property where someone could assist me.
Beds were cleanly covered. Thank you very much. No air conditioning. Two old fans of which only one worked. Couch needs to be replaced. Blinds must be washed.
GPS just led us a little wrong. But the stay was very good and nice.

The farm atmosphere was so peaceful. We were able to move among the farm animals which made it a special experience for us.
Friendly uncle Kobus went out of his way to make us feel at home! The workers are so friendly and full of smiles! The view is absolutely fantastic with all the animals and lands! They will definitely see us again!

We were looking for a quiet place, close to the city, but closer to nature, where our one-year-old baby could also enjoy the time. We all thoroughly enjoyed the chickens and turkeys, as well as the pork and sheep and it was lovely to have a wonderful view of the vineyards. We can recommend it to anyone who is looking for some peace and quiet, but still wants to be close to the city!

Our everyday life is very full, especially because of the care of our oldest disabled daughter (who joined us). The week was a holiday for us: no cars, no bright street lights - a lot of stars, farm animals, typical Cape Town weather, a lot of vineyards and a beautiful, neat cottage.
We really enjoyed it between the wine estate and the farm animals. The view was breathtaking and the rooms and kitchen had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again!

Cleaning service is included every second day except on weekends.Generator will not run during the day. It will run during cooking times in the case of load shedding.
Please let us know before hand if you require your cottage to be cleaned over the weekend - costs extra.
No music as cottages are close together and guests stay at Belcharto for the peace and quiet.
