Bella Blue is by far one of the most beautiful guesthouses we have stayed at. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully furnished. The kitchen has everything you need. It is in an area that is central to schools, the university and nice restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

Staatmaker accommodation, close to Oranje Meisieskool, in a quiet neighbourhood. The neat little shop on site is a nice extra. Those who cannot climb stairs should reconsider.
Communication from the host was clear and prompt. Appreciated the port, brownies, beverages, muesli and yoghurt. Bed was very comfy. Great for an overnight stop. Easy walk to Oranje Meisies if parents need to watch hockey tournaments. May be a problem if you are light sensitive when sleeping.

Took a chance based on the reviews and it was exactly as promised and better. Rynette, the owner, made the stay special from asking my meal preference before checking in, to a lovely upgrade and she has pride in her establishment. Fantastic rooms with everything you require, lovely kitchen, coffee machine and tasty breakfasts, which are in the fridge for you to eat at your leisure. The little extras, such as pastries for tea, attention to detail, spotless rooms and crisp clean linen are far better than found in many other similar places. The restaurants are close by and the area is quiet and peaceful with adequate safe parking. If ever I am back in Bloemfontein I will only have once place to stay.

What a lovely place to stay from start to finish. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable. The environment is safe and inviting. The rooms are lovely, clean, with everything possible that you need including a lovely coffee machine! The breakfasts are divine and the fridge with water, juice, milk and condiments etc. Easy access to the schools, shopping centres and I felt very safe walking from the accommodation to the school that was hosting a tournament this weekend. We were delighted from the moment we arrived at Bella Blue Guest House. The photos, though very nice, didn't do the place justice - it's so much better. Luxurious, tasteful, perfectly designed and beautiful. Rynette's artist's eye and good taste is refreshing, just as the breakfasts and other berries were. I stayed over for one night for business in Bloemfontein and wanted to go back to my family as soon as possible. I had a nice stay at Bella Blue, so much so that I secretly wanted to stay one more night. The area is peaceful and the rooms are beautiful and well-equipped. One feels at home from the moment you walk in. Rynette is very hospitable and makes sure you have everything you need.
We discussed briefly. Renette awaited us with a smile after a stressful day. We had a trailer with a motorcycle and a bike with us and Renette made special arrangements to make it safe that night. I believe it would be safe anyway since the parking space is within the facility's boundary walls behind an electric gate, but Renette was sensitive to our Gautengers' fears and put extra effort so we had absolutely nothing to worry about . The room and meal were superb. I now have to think of an excuse to spend the night in Bloemfontein because I want to stay there "forever".
