The unit I chose had a bathtub in it, upon arrival I was told that only some units have bathtubs, I did receive a free breakfast for that reason. If I compare to the other places I stayed on my route the price was prohibitively high for what was got.
Wasn't too bad but didn't like the rush of having to clock in. Was given in clock time but received calls frequently urging us to book in soon.
The guesthouse has a beautiful garden and the room was spacious. It is really well located. I was received extremely kindly and immediately felt welcome. My only objection is that it is expensive and could at least include a breakfast in that rate.

The stay was very nice and pleasant. We had 2 single beds which were just very hard to sleep on. But some people like hard beds again.

Booking effortless with quick response when other inquires took too long. Separate from others, request not to service room every day respected. A stove, or alike in room would have been appreciated. Had 3 night stay.

From the time we made the reservation, until we left, the service was professional and friendly. We felt so welcome! The garden is an oasis! Something that is always important to us is that the bathroom should be private with a door that can lock - definitely a plus here. Everything smelled fresh and clean and there was everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again.

To feel genuinely welcome and safe, in a strange environment, is truly what you experience at Belle Ombre.
I had 3 calls, a WhatsApp, a SMS and an email asking whether I am still coming. All this while driving. On arrival, with my car still running, I was asked what my purpose of the stay was and what time we would be leaving. The receptionist and her family occupied the braai area at the pool, so we could not make use of the swimming pool as it is in the same area. By the time they left, the wind was too cold to swim. The receptionist also could not say what we could find in our kitchenette. The owners were obviously not there, which is a pity, as my cousin spoke highly of them. The gardens are beautiful. I grew up in Lutzville and know the area well.
We are friendly and received on time. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished. It was also nice and quiet.
We highly recommend Belle Ombre to anyone passing through Vredendal. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and very well equipped, and excellent breakfasts provided. We will definitely hope to return if we are ever in the area and will certainly recommend this accommodation to our friends.

We were there at Christmas time and together with two other occupied rooms were the only guests because Belle Ombre was actually on holiday herself. That's why there was no breakfast. Then in Vredendal itself in the morning we got another nice breakfast in a small "mall" on the other side of Vredendal.
