Annalise contacted us as soon as we had booked and then she and Wimpy made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The information documents and tourist brochures were excellently organised and the guest cottage was tastefully decorated.

All we can say is wow! This gem is even better than the photos. We had high expectations, and Belvedere still exceeded them. From the moment we walked in, you could feel the peace and tranquillity in the air. Situated in a gorgeous, lush and lively garden, this cottage is what dreams are made of. Annalise welcomed us in the most friendly and generous manner and she was an excellent host right from the start. She made sure we had everything we needed, from loadshedding lights to extra bottles of water and special treats, more than enough towels, extra bedding and cleaning supplies. Her communication was excellent and we had a lovely chat with her and her husband. They are really wonderful and kind people. The cottage was incredibly neat, clean and tastefully decorated and the bedding was very luxurious. The night sounds coming from the garden were a wonderful lullaby to fall asleep to. There is not a single "bad" thing that we can say about our stay here. If you doubt your choice to book Belvedere, this is your sign to book it. You will not regret it!

Belvedere is perfectly appointed, it is beautifully clean and well-stocked with all necessities. We were extremely comfortable and well looked after. The breakfast was delicious too. If we return to Grahamstown, we'll look no further than the Belvedere, for sure.

We arrived in a parched Grahamstown. The host immediately treated us to ice cold water with lemon. Everything was clean and prepared with care. Wonderful night's sleep just before braving the Transkei.

The accommodation consisted of two spacious rooms with a very nice kitchen lounge area. The rooms both had heaters and were very warm. The area is in a nice quiet part of Grahamstown, but only a 2 min drive to the centre. Annalise, the owner, met us on arrival and made sure everything was in order. We will definitely return.
