56 guests' feedbackThis is now the second time I have used the Belvedere guest house, the staff are helpful and friendly, the accommodation is clean and comfortable and has an ideal location.
Belvedere is neat and clean with a nice atmosphere. Will spend the night there again or maybe stay longer to see the area. Service is very good.
We were in Kakamas for a funeral in the morning and finished early, the staff let us check in at 1.30pm which is earlier than the given time. My dad forgot a shirt, before we knew it the staff called and informed us and I was able to arrange a courier.
We received a very friendly welcome, good location, easy to find. Our room was clean and tidy. Lovely welcome sherry received. We had a delicious breakfast.

We had a nice stay at this guest house. We are unsure if the restaurant, on the same site, is operated separately. I do have something to mention: For breakfast I asked for a dish, French toast with bacon and syrup. I did get that, but instead of toast I was brought a Belgian waffle. It was quite strange.

We got there earlier than check in time and they let us in right away and we were able to store our wine in a nice chilled room before we went to visit the falls. Pool is a bonus point. Had a delicious breakfast and shop is very interesting. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to all my friends.

Our hostess was clearly not aware of our arrival and questioned me about whether I had booked and when I had booked. We were the only guests that evening. The unit was neat, comfortable and clean. However, later that evening we had to call the hostess for a wall plug to be able to use the hair dryer as well as to charge our equipment. There was also no normal tea, Five Roses or Rooibos, available with only milk for one hot drink. Furthermore, we were told not to use the tap water, but there is water in the fridge for sale at R19/500ml. Unfortunately, it left a slightly sour taste with our visit.
We had a wonderful stay at Belvedere Guest House. The Rose Café which is part of the guest house has the most delicious and beautiful food. Would definitely recommend.

The friendliest, most helpful hostess, Coleen, who goes out of her way to make you feel at home and cater to your needs. Most beautiful guest house with everything you need. This was our second visit to Belvedere and we will go back every time. Ten out of ten.
A friend and I chose Belvedere Gastehuis as an overnight option to Namaqualand. The guesthouse is on the main road and very easy to find. The reception was friendly and pleasant, and the complimentary sherry a definite bonus! The rooms are good value for money.

You will have to drive far to find better, rather leave the endless searching and book at the giant teapot. Do buy something for the journey further at the little shop.
Coreen the owner made us feel very at home upon our arrival - neat clean rooms. Paddock with coffee shop right next to the guest house, secure parking, very good value for money. Will definitely use Belvedere Guest House again in the future.
There were three couples, friends, who were together at Belvedere, we had a great time and the dinner and breakfast were top notch.
With an open window in the shower room, mosquitoes came to visit.
We were able to relax by the pool after a long day's travel. The room was very clean and tidy. Can definitely recommend Belvedere.
That which advertises on the web was found exactly as we expected and nothing less. Very friendly welcome. However, make sure that the restaurant is open if your planning relies on it, especially with Covid-19 it may not be open for good reason. Very centrally located for main routes (yet quiet) and can easily make a detour to the shopping center - walking distance. We will go home there again if we want to spend the night.

Coreen contacted us even before we arrived, received us personally at the guest house on a Sunday. The guesthouse is impeccably tidy and stylish.
Incredibly beautiful place, stylish. Just a pity we arrived late and had to leave early. Would have liked to spend more time to stay a little longer and spend time in the artistic restaurant with its little shop.

This was a very average stay. Rooms were clean but very basic.
Would recommend more towel rails.
Towels shed wool. No emergency light for if power goes out. TV and DStv lights (blue light) bother. Security guard on duty. Give peace of mind. Room neat but small for 3 people, definitely only one night no more.
Everything was neat and clean and we were received with so much hospitality. The breakfast at the coffee shop was tasty and tastefully served. Will definitely recommend.

Friendly staff who go the extra mile to keep their customers happy. Spacious rooms with a touch of antique chic. The Rose Cafe with Koos at the helm is throwing a party. The food is delicious and affordable and there is no need to go to another restaurant in town. The second night we barbecued by the pool. The staff came to set the patio table for us and even made us salad at an additional cost and cleaned up afterwards. Thank you Henna and Hetta. You guys are phenomenal and we thoroughly enjoyed your talks and jokes.
There couldn't be a better stay we could hope for. Hospitable staff with very neat and clean room. A bonus was the nice interior decoration and tasty food we could order. The name is somewhat confusing as it is Belvedere Guest House and on the website it is referred to as Accommodation Kakamas.
