Hostess very friendly and helpful. Room, bedding, bathroom, etc., very clean and tidy. Walking distance from the beach. Neat, clean area. Safe.
We were received very kindly and felt very much at home. The accommodation was very neatly furnished and just across the road from the sea. We could thoroughly enjoy the sunset and sunrise. The environment was quiet and peaceful and we felt very safe. We will definitely use the excellent location, hospitality and cleanliness again. We definitely recommend this little gem. Very comfortable. Everything was as advertised. Beach nearby. Felt very safe. Hosts were having issues with WiFi hence we couldn't log in, but not their fault.

Lack of storage space for making coffee etc. Poor ventilation, only door and front windows and no windows beyond, not even the bathroom.

My husband and I went on holiday with our 8-week-old baby at Bentonhof. The room was well appointed to suit simplistic lifestyle which for us was good value for money. Especially considering the location.

The room is a bit smaller than I expected. There is no small table where you can put things, only on the small fridge.

The location is not in Mossel Bay, but 15 minutes of heavy traffic 6 km from Mossel Bay closer to Hartenbos. The ad reads Mossel Bay. There is no TV or aircon, and also no canopy in front of the door. The weather was bad and when you walk out everything is wet.
Was disappointed. We expected a room, open plan kitchen and a bathroom. I would only recommend it for backpackers. It had been terribly hot and impossible to sit on the stoep, there is no shade or umbrella available. It is not convenient for any cooking purposes and there is also no sink for dishes. Although it was vacation time for us, there was no radio or TV. There is no privacy in leaving the door open because there has been no ventilation. Sorry to say but we won't be going there again. We just packed up and went back home. The sea is close but it is uncomfortable for an elderly person to walk there and there were wide stairs to climb.
Will def book at Bentonhof again if I can. Owner also very friendly and can be contacted at any time if needed.

What we enjoy is the sea and beach is just across the road. The place is located between Mossel Bay and Hartenbos close to everything and yet away from the masses.

You don't want to complain, but I feel that if you don't mention it, it can't be improved. So hope this is seen as positive. It has been mentioned in reviews that the place does not have a TV, and still there is no TV. Yes, one is by the sea, but with rain for 2 days it would help a lot. This is a very nice place and rightly located, but more than 2 days my wallet would not last. We had to buy food since you couldn't actually make food there. I asked for safe place to stand with my vehicle as I have a load. Safe means not only against theft, but also wind and weather. We were asked if everything was OK and therefore mixed feelings.
Bentonhof is value for money and ideally located if anyone has an appointment in central Mossel Bay.
Thank you very much for a wonderful clean and tidy stay. The extras were a bonus, coffee and biscuits, sugar, milk, even a chocolate for each. It is safe and close to ATKV resort, shops and restaurants. The sea is within walking distance, with a nice view when you sit on the stoep and visit and barbecue. Will definitely stay there again, thanks again for your kindness, a great place by the sea.
After a long journey, it was a particularly beautiful and peaceful overnight stop. Do it again!
Value for money and extreme hospitality.
The accommodation was perfect for us. It was easy to adapt to the limited cooking facilities. Everything very clean and tidy with hospitality and exquisite interior decoration. The little park in front of the unit and proximity to the beach was a big plus.

We prepared to get take-out and had a lovely late afternoon relaxing on the veranda. Lovely sea view!
For the price you cannot get better in Hartenbos, especially in December. It is located right across from the breach, and about a 10 minute walk from Waterpark. There is a small fridge/freezer combo, a microwave and the WiFi is lightning fast. Some plates, forks, knives, spoons glasses etc. are provided. There is even a braai you can use with charcoal/briquettes.
Extra cutlery and a sink to wash them in instead of the sink in the bathroom would be welcome. Furthermore, it is conveniently close to everything. Thank you very much for the extra milk.
Will definitely support and also recommend Betonhof again.

Terrible mildew in the bathroom on most of the silicon sealed areas around the bath/shower.
The absence of a TV was quite a problem.

Painfully neat and clean
Place is very neat and ideally located from the sea. Owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make your time with them pleasant.
Found it very convenient. Ideal if you are just looking for a place to sleep. There is a kettle available but no microwave. The fact that it says Mossel Bay can be confusing - it's basically Hartenbos.
Facility suitable for overnight stays for 1 or 2 nights as there are no cooking or barbecue facilities and no TV. It met our need as we had to go to George for business.
Was great, Anita was very friendly and helpful and asked if we needed anything. The sea was a few steps away from us and the area was very quiet and safe. Parking was a bit uncomfortable, but there was no problem. Everything was close to the shops and mall and just walking distance from the beach. Highly recommend for any decent and neat couple or single. Thank you Anita van Bentohof for the effort and for the clean and tidy place.
Mall is very close, especially the view over the sea was absolutely wonderful.
A special place with hospitable owner. Very neat room with delicious very clean, cuddly bedding. We would recommend it to everyone.
No soap in bathroom. Bit awkward to make cup of coffee, though lots provided. Plenty tea, coffee, but nowhere to work other than on bed! Can't cut fruit, wash knife or anything. Neat and clean.

Small but could be a great holiday home. My mother and I had a really nice stay. Few steps from the beach and very close to many activities and shopping centers.
Anita sent us a welcome WhatsApp with a Google Maps reference. We felt welcome with chocolates on our pillows. Pleasant, clean accommodation within walking distance of the sea. Excellent value for money compared to what is available in Hartenbos.

What will make the stay more pleasant is the TV as well as WiFi. There is also no secure parking, otherwise the stay was very pleasant.
The room and bathroom are attached to a house and they are tidy, but there are no TV or WiFi facilities. If you are looking for TV or WiFi, you should go to the nearest shopping center.
The glass partition at the bath is fixed and it makes it difficult to reach the shower head, bathtub and taps when one does not have long arms. The edge around the tub is dirty and probably also difficult to clean because the glass partition is 1 m wide. The duvet has an unpleasant odour - in my opinion it is not washed regularly. Parking is on the lawn in front of the unit - no fence or secure parking. Apparently there have never been any incidents - maybe it's just waiting to happen.
