We had a wonderful stay in Berghoff. The house is spacious, well equipped, super clean and tidy. The most beautiful view and beautiful scenery surrounds you and the clear star dome in the evening is a sight to remember. We walked far with our dogs and the field was covered with the most beautiful flowers and vegetation. The rock formations that form part of the majestic Winterhoek Mountains captured our imagination. Berghoff is a gem and we really enjoyed it. Many thanks to Margot, Marius and team. You farm we have lyrics.

I would like to visit Berghof again. We got there on Friday evening and it was very cold. I had a lot of trouble getting the fireplace going without fire starters. After I sent the owner, Marius, a WhatsApp to please us. to provide with it (thinking that it will not be until the Saturday morning), he immediately came and brought it to us and with a bottle of red wine as a gift. We really enjoyed the hiking trails as a family. I can highly recommend Berghoff!

It was everything my wife and I wanted. A remote cabin in the woods. Although you see houses in the distance, they do not bother you because all you are looking at is the wonderful nature and view. Gliders and hang gliders occasionally float over your head while you are surrounded by pin cushions and proteas, after all, that's what the people do for a living on the mountain. You are also encouraged to take some flowers home afterwards. The house has only the necessary. Solar powered lights, fridge and stove that work on gas and an outdoor barbecue with a crate of wood per night. Provision has been made for you to charge your mobile phone. But let him be mushy, rather listen to the noise of the sun bugs. Go and relax in the converted windmill pond. The pace up the mountain is an experience, not for the faint of heart, but the views are amazing. My family car made the journey without any problems, but I had to drive slowly and carefully. Vehicles with higher ground clearance are definitely recommended. And take everything you might need in terms of food and drink. As far as I know there is no cafe on the mountain.

Berghoff is in a truly beautiful setting. One is surrounded by mountains, silence and nature sounds. It is very close to the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area's gate and therefore longer walking routes. There are also shorter hiking trails on Berghoff, which my family really enjoyed. Personally, the natural beauty, silence and peacefulness of Berghoff were the highlights for me. I found peace of mind here from a busy city life. Berghoff is committed to sustainable development and e.g. all rubbish is sorted and recycled where possible. The water on the farm comes from mountain springs and has been tested and found to be purer than bottled water! The natural vegetation and proteas are beautiful. I recommend Berghoff to anyone who loves nature and the mountains. Feel free to visit!

Definitely value for money, nice rustic chalet with everything you need. View from porch excellent and can hold long evenings. Plus point is that it is located on a farm where Proteas are farmed. No other chalets nearby and 100% privacy guaranteed. Will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Berghoff. Margot was very friendly, my proteas that I got is still alive! We walked to the waterfall, but there was little water. It is the hottest and driest time of the year. The rock formations were breathtaking on the way to the waterfall. The Farm Market on a Saturday morning is a must see! Really relaxed.

Accommodation was perfect, in nature. Enjoyed it a lot. One thing I can suggest is to indicate on the website that the road to Klipspringer is quite bad, and not any car will be able to drive the road. Happily rode our Polo Vivo but spun out the whole uphill to get out. So definitely not driving the road with my Volkswagen Jetta. But other than that it was an experience.
