The farm manager, Hendrik, is truly an asset to the farm. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always busy from early morning until late at night to ensure that guests enjoyed their stay. Hendrik also took the time to show us the common areas. The grounds were painstakingly neat and staff were all friendly and helpful. Thanks to Hendrik and his team.

Rested very well. The staff was very friendly. I would have liked a few things different, there was load shedding 2 times a day, would have thought such a big place would have had a generator! And then the office is right next to the lodge? Usually the office is not right next to your vacation spot. But other than that it was very nice.
I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a clean place before. All the staff are so friendly and they really went the extra mile to accommodate us and make us happy. The facilities are great for a bush break and the farm is ideally located close to other famous places so there is plenty to do. We have already booked our next visit and this time I am taking even more family members with me. I can only highly recommend them, a real gem in the bushveld.
If you are looking for a place to just relax, in the middle of nature, with lots of privacy, and animals roaming around your surroundings, this is the place to go. Chalets are far apart, have a pool right there in the bush, nice game drive. I had an awesome time.

We enjoyed it very much. Will definitely go back again. Maybe just discuss a bit with places like Mabula and Mabalingwe to allow clients on game drives and day visits during the weekends too please? It is in your brochure for activities in the area but does not help if weekend guests are not allowed.

I appreciated all the messages and information, I didn't need to draw up an itinerary. Bergsig - what an experience, thank you very much! First of all, it was so beautiful to see the Waterberge when we took the detour to Bergsig Eco Estate. With a narrow dust path we travel to the gate, neat and passable. Second, the voice over the phone invites us in, we are received, with all the Covid rules clear and the reception is welcoming, our temperature and info are recorded. The facility is presented, we just book our game drive right then and there. The payment is placed on our guest account, which we can settle when we check out. With our keys in hand we drive down to our accommodation, I have booked a Bundu hut. What a surprise, it's neat and exactly what I saw on your website. On Thursday afternoon we become aware of loud music. The Bergsig team (Alex and Lorrencia) come the next morning to find out if it is/was disturbing and offer to move us. What a service and experience! We're moving and we're just in time to join our game drive with Marcus at the helm. We sleep the rest of the weekend in a peaceful environment, just us and the forest sounds! Delivered to us on Saturday evening, a bread, it was delicious and a complement to our barbecue. The bill was 100% and settled right there when we left. To the Bergsig team, you went above and beyond, you are friendly and were there every day to see if everything was ok, everything was kept neat and clean. We'll see you again!
The place we rented was perfect for a weekend with a large group of friends. The kitchen was a bit small and the blue monkeys were a bit of a pest but otherwise it was perfect.

Als could have been perfect, but the fact that we couldn't drive around ourselves and look for animals definitely made the holiday boring. We are the type of people who like to drive around and even stop somewhere and enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch at a beautiful view while maybe spotting some animals. The only time we were able to go out for a drive, we only saw a few goats, but Xander and Irene absolutely tried their best to find the animals for us. They were really so pleasant and the stories they told us about Bergsig were terribly interesting. Bergsig is definitely a place for people who like walking and silence and who knows, maybe we'll see you again...

We saw a lot of wildlife and it was really relaxing. Loved the hospitality of the manager and his wife and I was immediately at home upon reception. I was in a small rondavel and there was everything you could need and my wife just wants me to book one weekend a month there.

The place is very good and I highly recommend the place. But they need to fix the hot water challenge.
Would recommend that your clients recommend taking fans with them in summer months ─ very hot there. Or you can provide farm fans in the rooms or place them as options at reception if customers would need them. Also mention to take camping chairs with you ─ chairs are not comfortable for cozying up around the campfire.

We stayed at Bergsig Eco Estate during the long weekend in March. We were kindly received and welcomed and then shown to our chalet. Neat, clean, fully equipped with more than you actually need! The chalet is cleaned every day (great treat!) and there is wood and ice for sale which is very convenient. We were warmly helped all the time and also shot bow and arrow, went on a game drive and really enjoyed the animal life. Outstanding in every way. What a pleasure! We will definitely come again!
Brings calm to your soul to be in nature and to appreciate the sounds of the birds and the bush. No commercial entertainment, just the bush and you. Was wonderful to ride bicycle again among the animals. Fantastic experience.
The Bergsig Eco Estate is a very neat place and very well laid out. It was very peaceful and the stay pleasant. The staff/reception was extremely nice, considerate and very helpful. It was a very pleasant experience and would stay there again. I only suggest that in the Bundu tents an extra light can be put in the box. Another suggestion is to perhaps change or move the beds for more space and comfort.

Neat self-catering accommodation in the forest camp with a nice view from the main bedroom.
We got lost when we arrived. Noise from nearby workers was an issue. The electricity only worked the first day after that it didn't last long.
Bergsig Eco Estate was a pleasant surprise. It was tidy, the chalet was luxurious and had everything we needed. The children had plenty to keep them entertained. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The unit is very neat and nicely laid out. One does have to walk to the lapa to wash dishes as the sink and space in the house is too small. The oven is also at the lapa and not in the cottage. We had a lot of problems with the neighbors playing music and being loud - awful swearing. Had to call management but still had problems after that. Then went and asked the neighbors themselves to consider us. Strict rules in the resort's book regarding loudness, swearing and music, but there appeared to be no control except for the rule book. Unfortunately, money can't buy class and you certainly can't choose your neighbors. Was disappointing as they spoiled our whole weekend.
No entertainment. Nothing to do there. Get eaten by the mosquitoes no matter what you smear or spray. Definitely not worth R1000 a night. Waited weeks to get your key deposit back after being told it would take around 3 - 4 days.

Bergsig was so lovely and I wouldn't mind going back there again. Loved the few wildlife we got to see, the view of the place was also lovely. The staff working there is also friendly and we felt at home. If anyone wants a relaxed weekend away then this is the perfect place to do that.

The Bundu Hut is very neat and well equipped. The fridge is a bit small is you stay longer than a weekend, I would have liked to drive around on our own game drives, but it wasn't allowed.
As I mentioned above, it was very nice and peaceful. For people with children: they might get bored. Little distraction for children, but for those of us who sought out the silence and found it, it was fantastic.
It was wonderful to spend the few days at Bergsig. The accommodation was first class in terms of cleanliness and comfort with good barbecue, swimming and leisure facilities. Bergsig is also located in a safe environment and the management was very friendly and made us feel at home immediately upon arrival. As for the cleaners, they came to clean the unit "spotlessly" every day; as well as the braai area and rubbish removed. What struck us is the privacy because the detached cottages are so far apart. We can recommend Bergsig with confidence.
We will easily go there again to vacation and rest! It was our first holiday alone together without the children and my wife and I enjoyed it wonderfully. We plan to go there again sometime next year. I would recommend it if you are looking for some peace in your life.
We stayed in the Bundu cabins which are suitable for a family of 4. The accommodation is very neat, accessories, etc. all in good condition. Farm and roads in very good condition and seeing wildlife was satisfying. Farm staff very friendly and very helpful. A very nice atmosphere for a nice weekend getaway. We can definitely recommend it and will certainly visit Bergsig again in the future.
