A great stay. Bergsig Sabie is a simple, clean and convenient place to stay. It has a well-kitted kitchen and a lovely outside braai area. We came through to Sabie for a (very muddy) trail run so appreciated the great shower! Brian was very helpful.

Overall everything was excellent just small touch-ups. Perhaps with a mini washing line. The Wi-Fi is always available 24/7, even with load shedding the wifi still works. It's a Gem. Seamless check-in is also a great positive. If you like animals, there's a fearless cat from one of the neighbour's houses, which will casually prance around through the yard.

We really enjoyed the place, but it was said that there was enough sleeping space for 4 people, when we got there there were two single beds and 1 sleeper couch. The sleeper couch was just big enough for our one friend (adult man) luckily the 4th person canceled, otherwise there would have been no room for her. My boyfriend and I slept on the single beds. The kitchen is not ideal either, because there is no decent oven/stove, we just took all the food home and ate out every day.

Like everyone I was also booked this accommodation after seeing all the positive feedback from the different reviews. But I must say I can’t believe how these many good ratings for these accommodations. I believe it might be a paid review. I was travelling with my family and my priority was a clean peaceful place to spend some quality time without any security issues. I trust it will be the same for you as well. Owners was very kind at the first time as they send me the location and other details without even asking. After reaching the accommodation I realized that this is not what expected or described about the accommodation and different reviews. 1. There is a closed parking available but there is not direct door from parking to the accommodation. We need to take our all luggage and walk through the road to reach the entrance. It was uncomfortable. 2. On arrival I realized that the house was not cleaned for days rather say there is no indication that it was cleaned recently. House was not at all clean, full of dust everywhere, dead insects, unclean washbasins, dusty fan, hot water kettle was having prefilled water with some dirt. I couldn’t even understand how someone can leave a house like this and provide for stay. 3. I informed the owner the same day and he mentioned that it was cleaned and he himself did the cleaning. I did request him to come and have a look as he was not agreeing. He did mention that he is away and will be back in 3 hours. We waited for him the whole day, but he didn’t step in to verify what I was complaining. 4. On the same day night water suddenly stopped and there was no communication or alternative done by the owner. I messaged him in the night, his reply was concerning to me as a client. He mentioned he cannot solve SA's problem. I did reply him saying that I was only asking you for an alternative arrangement by supplying some water for at least bathroom. His reply was asking me not to pay for the 2nd night. But for me money was not the problem, and I did transfer him the full amount so that I can do my review honestly. 5. 2nd day we waited for him, thought that he will come and have some check or words with us, but nothing happened. We then cleaned the house ourselves and send all the pictures to him at least he can now see what we were talking about. He did apologize but we didn’t see him throughout our stay there.

Bergsig is a lovely self-catering unit that is perfect for sightseeing holidays in the area.
