The place was very nice and clean. People are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the nature and we were able to take nice pictures together with the beautiful scenery around us.
The room was clean and exactly like the pictures. We only spent one night as we went to a wedding in the area, so we weren't in the room very much.

Room was very neat and clean even though it was quite basic. Bathroom facilities not luxurious but adequate. There was no fridge in the room, a fridge would help. There were also only cups, no plates and knives and forks like at most other guesthouses.

Grounds and buildings are quite neglected and untidy, but still a beautiful setting. But be careful to book if you are not a guest of the wedding, the guests are unmanageable, noisy and get badly drunk. Furthermore, it is also located opposite an informal settlement where the music and noise goes on throughout.
The place is clean and spacious, but is located very close to an informal settlement that was noisy all night. I know this is out of Bergvallei's control, but if we had known that we would have chosen other accommodation instead. There are also too many rooms sharing one geyser with the result that by 6pm in the evening we had no hot water. It is also not indicated anywhere that the road from the main road is dirt road. And in places the dirt road is quite bad. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed one night.

Wow! Now that was a missive surprise for a place whose fee is so low. It exceeded my expectation 5 fold. The place is clean and the staff are friendly (especially the 2 ladies who I believe are also the owners). This place will definitely see us again. I would recommend this place to anyone and since the price is about half what the surrounding places are asking you might as well stay for 2 nights.

Check in at reception was very friendly and vining. The room for 4 was clean and tidy for what we needed for an overnight stay.
We felt very unsafe. It was horrible to get in and out because of security locking all the time and then you have to call to get in. The informal camp is directly opposite the estate, smoke in the valley, loud music and free access for everyone who lives on the other side of the creek, people walk freely through spray, through the resort and out the gate to the main road. Here I will not even marry for nothing. It must have been stunning once upon a time, but now just dilapidated.
I booked a unit called Luxury Double Room more than a month back because from the pictures it looks very promising. It's Valentine's Day and we have a wedding coming up. When we arrived the floors were dirty. There was a large spider's nest behind the door, water was dirty and not drinkable at all. Toilets were not cleaned. Had absolutely nothing to drink. No shampoo, cream, conditioner. The carpets in the unit were dirty and full of dust. The shower was dirty inside. I would not recommend anyone to ever spend a night here. If the place was at least clean, then it's a different story. I am very disappointed, will never use Bergvallei again or recommend to anyone! The estate needs a lot of work and for sure a new management team. Never again thank you!

My voorstel is dat die estate nie privaat gesinne dan bespreek tydens 'n troue nie. Slegs gaste van die troue moet kan bespreek. Datums op dei webtuiste moet nie beskikbaar wees nie. Dit was 'n onaangename tydperk met die trougaste wat vreeslik gedrink het, onder mekaar baklei het en onbeskryflik gelaster het.
Was at a wedding recently and a large group of us stayed to get maximum enjoyment out of the wedding. Although the rooms were clean, they were not very modern or well maintained. Bathroom facilities were sub-standard. There was also an earth leakage problem, because if you shower and turn on taps, you get an unexpected shock. The service of the staff was also not up to standard. During the wedding reception, the staff arbitrarily turned off the power, after it had been arranged that music could play for another hour. Also the service at the bar was very poor and slow. The breakfast the next morning was also not up to standard. No choice about which type of egg you prefer. Only a served plate is served. Does not justify the cost of the breakfast. Will not use or recommend the venue again out of free choice unfortunately.

Although my husband and I stayed alone, the family room would be suitable for 2 couples wanting to stay overnight after a wedding and is therefore excellent value for money. No frills, but exactly what you need for a late arrival after a wedding and an early departure the next morning. It would be nice if there was enough coffee and sugar for 2 cups per person (evening and morning). Furthermore, very clean and tidy and also quiet and peaceful. I asked in advance if there was a fridge somewhere where I could store something and the friendly lady then simply arranged for a fridge in our room. Thank you very much for good customer service, we will definitely stay at Bergvallei again after a wedding in the Muldersdrift area.

The venue itself was very beautiful, all the arrangements were in place for an effortless check-in and the staff were extremely accommodating. Reasonable and affordable, clean and neat accommodation. Located well for an overnight stay in Wesrand. Safe parking with security guard available. The only negative thing is the early closing times of the office on the premises. Will use these facilities again.

Bergvalley is easy to get to and safe to stay. Although we didn't land until after 19:00 on a Saturday, arrangements were made with the guard on duty to receive us and hand over the room key. This guard patrols the premises right through the night. The room was clean and tidy, beds very comfortable and spacious. The weather was very hot and oppressive throughout the evening, but unfortunately there was only a fan in the room, and when it was switched on, it was so noisy that one could not sleep with it. It was a bit awkward. We arrived too late to go out and do anything, but it was too early to just go to bed. It would be nice if there was a TV or radio in the room for some entertainment after a long day's travel. Nevertheless, it is good value for money and we felt safe to spend the night there.
It doesn't look like the photo's. Very old building, but very neat. There is apparently a security guard, but we never saw him so we did not feel very safe. The luxurious room is much bigger than the other rooms and it was a plus. We got a lot of warmth and there are no air cons. If Bergvalei wants to make some improvements, I would suggest to put air cons in the rooms and improve the finishing touches. Nothing is straight in the room (construction shown). But on the other hand, it's a very old building and one can not see anything about it on the pictures. Very friendly welcome.

The place is old and the rooms are not clean. Did not say that the bathroom and bedroom is one room, not nice at all.
Have experienced better accommodation for less. While it was clean, it was neglected with cracked walls. Ricoffee in a bank bag, pink bubble soap and dusty plastic plants had us up early and fleeing to be honest. The internet photos and what we experienced was a disappointment. There was no security and we felt very unsafe when we returned from our wedding at a neighboring facility.
It is very noisy with an empty feeling. The building is old and the pipes are very noisy during the night in the roof and walls. Other guests that came in after midnight in groups were not told to be quiet and made a noise until after 01:00 in the morning. Other guests had a difficult time sleeping and had to get up to work the next day. As mentioned by others, simple things that do not cost a lot of money needs to be added in the room, like a water jug and water. It was very clean, but there is one bottle pink soap that is shared with previous guests, which is supposed to be all in one: shampoo, soap etc, but isn't marked at all so you cannot be sure what it is. The towels are warn out and old, but was at least clean. The gait and access to the premises is open and not enclosed. The staff and manager are very friendly and was very involved in the arrangements beforehand.
Bergvallei Estates is like an old school hostel and nothing more. The place is neglected and doesn't look at all like it does in the photos. They call and offer a full buffet breakfast for R85, but did not receive any buffet breakfast. The breakfast that was served was perhaps worth R30. The person at reception does not care about complaints that are made and just shrugs off complaints.
Could really do more to the rooms. Place is very run down and is very misleading if you look at the pictures. Feel unsafe with the people who walk through there to their homes.
I booked a luxury room and I got a family room with only a shower and exterior doors that don't want to open. My room key was given to someone who took it to my wedding, I would have picked it up myself. At 6:00 it was so noisy in the corridors that you had to get up.
Don't even waste your time. Photos and reality are two completely different pictures. The place is neglected and very unsafe. Would not advise a family with children to stay at the place.
The accommodation was truly neat, clean and comfortable.
The views were amazing and our room was nice and big and spacious. The only problem is that the walls are very thin, so you can hear things in the other rooms.

The staff went out of their way over the long weekend of 24 September 2017 to help all their guests who attended the Sing in Harmonie at Silverstar. They even opened the office on a Sunday to hand over the keys. The rooms were neat. Will definitely stay here again next year when our choir performs again. It is really very close to Silverstar and affordable.

Will definitely stay at Bergvallei again. I have only two suggestions. One, that they serve breakfast or that there is a table or something in the rooms to be able to prepare a quick meal.

We booked at Bergvallei for Saturday night because it is close to the place where we would go hot air ballooning very early on Sunday morning. At very short notice, the balloon service provider informed us that they could no longer take off on Sunday morning (due to weather), but that we could take off on Saturday morning. Great crisis in all our arrangements! We come 500-600 km away! And now our stay is a night late - because the balloon flight was moved a day earlier. We wanted to know if it was possible that Bergvallei could move our stay one night earlier, but could not get an answer at all from the cell number provided to us. We then drove to Bergvallei and got another number there. Fortunately, we then got an answer and our relief was great when the lady made an effort to accommodate us! Although our group didn't get there until midnight, we slept well and went out early again to go ballooning. Many thanks to Bergvallei who understood our crisis and helped us.
The room was neat, the pub or shebeen that is near or next to the estate was very disturbing they played loud music until 7 o'clock the next morning, we slept very little!
On arrival we were very kindly received, the directions to our rooms were clearly given to us. Rooms are clean and spacious. No problem with hot water, safe parking in front of your place to sleep, had a great time staying here.

The place is not very well finished. And become dilapidated. Especially when looking at previous photos of the place. For example the pool/fountain. There is no fence or boundary wire around the place, it makes a guy feel a bit unsafe. Found spider in bed. There are many pedestrians walking through to their cabins.

There was nothing majorly wrong with the place but we got up at 2 in the morning I drove back to Rustenburg, actually paid for nothing. From somewhere nearby came such horrible loud music that we couldn't sleep.
Can focus more on small things: water in the room. Or at least a glass to drink water from. Towels were very small.

The place definitely needs to be upgraded, maybe add a communal kitchen, as there are no microwaves or anything, basically it's just a room. There's people walking by all the time which doesn't feel safe. After the keys are handed to you, there is no one in sight, except for the security.
We arrived at Bergvallei to find a picture completely at odds with what was represented. The buildings and general site are not maintained, accommodation feels like a dormitory and I didn't have peace of mind in terms of security. It's a very large establishment with just 1 security guard and a regular fence along which many a soul walk en route to their homes. The rooms looked neat inside but unfortunately we felt too unsafe to stay there.
We looked everywhere in Muldersdrift for a clean and neat place with overnight facilities, for a reasonable price for 4 people, as we were in the area for a wedding. Bergvallei more than met the expectations. I don't expect 5 star facilities for this price.The women in the office were also very friendly.

This place looks very old-fashioned and is only a stay-over place. Think it is worth the trouble to add some modern things. The frames in the rooms and the pictures are very old-fashioned. Bathrooms also very old and there wasn't a toilet paper holder in the toilet. For the reason we were there, it was okay, but I wouldn't want to stay there for long. Beautiful but definitely needs work en some improvements would definitely attract people.

We used the accommodation during a business trip. The location makes it ideal and we will definitely stop by again.

There was no hot water at the sink. Reason: faucet was broken. Second kettle was broken, couldn't even make coffee.
Firstly, I booked a family room, meaning that I have children. There was no bath! Secondly, there were no aircons. I paid that price expecting that there would be an aircon taking inconsideration that there was no televisions. The photos on the website do not reflect the current condition in real life!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the venue. We booked the family room and it was a spacious, neat and clean. The beds were comfortable and all the basic facilities that we needed were available. The staff was very friendly and the management made you feel at home. The grounds of the venue are extremely beautiful and it creates a relaxed atmosphere. You can lose yourself in its beauty. The venue is ideally placed as it is very close to a shopping mall (2 minutes away) so one does not need to drive far for food … and yet it’s surrounding bush makes you feel that you are out of the busy city life. It is a gem that is great value for money. This venue will definitely see me again and I will recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favour and give it a try!

We needed accommodation for 1 night. Bergvallei Estates was so close to everything!
Very nice place. The reception is very friendly. Security can be improved because anyone can drive into the place as there is no security guard. The cleaning services were very polite and cleaned well. All that was a problem for us was the shower curtain because if you are men and women together it doesn't work so well. My husband and son had to leave the room so my daughter and I could shower or dress. But other than that I can recommend Bergvallei Estates. It's value for what you pay. One just has to plan shower times well.

Bergvallei Estates is definitely no longer in the condition as indicated on the website. It's dilapidated and neglected. The pool was empty. The mosquitoes carry a person away.
Beds are really uncomfortable. It was arranged that the key would be with security after hours, but he had to go and find the key first. The fan is hopelessly too small to make any difference in the room. No fridge (very inconvenient if you sleep 3 nights, especially with children looking for drinks). The Dorm Room feel is a bit noisy and people staring at you in the corridors is a bit weird (we had a hen party on Friday night and visiting wedding guests on Saturday). The fountain was empty so children could not even wet their feet. Although we are aware that it is not intended for swimming. We went home one night early due to discomfort. Would really recommend aircon and small fridge. Vanessa is very helpful via email.
