Very nice overnight place, just very small, no easy chair available.
The room, security, parking etc. was good The management rightly asks that guests consider others and behave quietly. However, they must set the example themselves. On the night in question, however, they had visitors and were talking loudly and laughing shrillly until 11.45pm so we couldn't sleep and had to shut them up! It was not professional.

The guest house gives value for money for overnight accommodation as it is cheap. The general summary of the guest house is not 5 star, but acceptable. The TV only has Netflix.

The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. But the towels literally had holes in them. The guest house is covered in ants inside and out. One bag of coffee and one bag of sugar. We were very disappointed that this guest house was advertised.

Wanted to spend the night to visit family in Kroonstad. My wife and I were in Kroonstad for many years.

Berry Lane was an overall okay stay. I was rather taken aback to find a tiny line written on their welcome page indicating that the water was not safe to drink. Having left home in a hurry, we arrived with no water and only 2 glasses of safe water were provided for the 2 of us. I woke up several times during the night absolutely parched. The shower didn't work very well and only offered a trickle of very hot or very cold water. The bed was however warm and comfortable and the overall appearance of the room was neat and tidy. Berry Lane probably wouldn't be my first pick next time, but I wouldn't completely count them out.
Booked room number 4 with a double bed. After moving into room number 4 and unpacking, a rather arrogant employee told me I was in the wrong room, which was not the case, and asked me to move to room number 5 with single beds while I specifically booked room number 4 due to the double bed. Garden is rather untidy with no paving to rooms. A blind on the glass door would make the room darker to sleep in (very bright outside light only went off later) and a light for loadshedding would be handy. Water pressure of shower quite low. Owners do not seem to be personally involved and never enquired as to whether everything was in order. Signs as to where to park on arrival and where reception is would help, had to move car after parking. Room was clean.
I booked two rooms, one of which was to have two separate beds - but on arrival we were given rooms with queen-size beds and one pair of colleagues had to share a bed. The same had rubbish from the previous guests that had not been removed. There were also no towels provided in the same room as well. Water pressure in the shower was very very weak.
Full M-Net channel suite is a bonus. There is a generator, but the unit is directly under the one room window - rather without power than with the noise.
I stayed in room 6. Room was modern and clean, very comfortable stay. Staff was friendly. I ordered breakfast and it was wonderful. Value for money. The room and the bathroom were very spacious.
The electric blanket was a must in the cold night.

Room is very clean and tidy. Didn't get the room we asked for, but everything was very clean and tidy. However, could not watch television if you are not a dstv subscriber. Need your code for that. For overnight it is quite acceptable.
A nice stopover from Cape Town to Johannesburg. Especially when you are tired. Friendly service, concerned about their customers. Very neat.
Lovely convenience. Everything was painfully neat and very neatly furnished. All I will mention is the shower is open in front and the floor gets quite wet and you step in it. We had to wait a while for the person to open the gate. We will definitely distribute the accommodation to others and use it in the future. Lovely and well-kept garden and the unit we used was a dream. The bed was our favorite. Slept like babies.

This accommodation does not answer as an overnight stay for travellers. In the main house the music was played terribly loud for the whole neighborhood and terrible shouting etc. until midnight.
The person's contact details given to us did not contact us in any way. She did not respond to my message nor was there to receive us. The person who received us then disappeared again and we had no way to get in touch with him. Our 2 units power did not come back on after loadshedding and we had no one to contact about it. The rest of the house and other units' power was on. So we had to struggle early in the morning in the dark to get ready for the day ahead. The units were clean and tidy but the experience was not good due to no interaction from the owner.

The owner was very accommodating with the check-in times. The workers were very friendly. All I would change is the shower door. There is no door, and the pressure was not constant. But still not bad. Was very nice to stay there.

Had no problems. We were received hospitably and slept well.
No TV except Netflix. No chairs in the unit. No backup lighting for loadshedding.
There was an incident with the gate and our car. Renovations are being done and one of the builders closed the gate while the car was driving in. The owners never came to look at the damage to the car. We didn't want to cause trouble because we had to sleep there. The owners did not say anything about the damage the next morning.
Good to sleep over for one night.

Kroonstad area is very neglected, but the guest house itself is neatly maintained and the room is large and the decor very homely. Separate bathroom and dressing room with ample cupboards and storage space should this be required. Room is well equipped and has its own fridge with fresh milk for coffee/tea (I hate milk powder/Cremora with my coffee/tea). Staff were friendly and I felt very safe.
