After a long drive was the perfect rest stop. It's peaceful, has activities for children and the view is beautiful.

It was now a sleepover that I can do again and again, the beautiful nature, the comfortable cottages with everything you need and the beauty of the cottage, made the stay so much better and more comfortable.

We had a nice stay. The environment is beautiful. I would recommend that they get more washing up facilities. We were only aware of one and it was not very clean when we used it.

We felt safe at the camping site.
Maybe give a mop and broom unless the cleaning crew has to do it. Quiet, except for the drive up to the gate which was nice.
Had to spray air freshener to make the air within the place fresh and had to request a change of fresh bedding. The inside of the oven and microwave facility was dirty. The ground staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The owner should check the state of the accomadation before arrival of guests.
The kitchen was well equipped and we didn't lack anything. Bathroom and rooms were neat and clean. The pool area was a treat and I couldn't get enough of the view. The help was friendly and fast when we needed it. Thank you very much.

The place is a bit outside of Plett so own transport is needed to get into Plett.

Amenities are not worth the price. Located next to a busy road which disturbs the tranquility. Bed linen clean but only superficial cleaning. Furniture made from crates and aesthetic view of building is a shack. The camping ground will be a much better option for accommodation that looks neat, green and comfortable.

Berryhill is a nice destination, we were initially satisfied, the pool is nice and there is grass where the children can play and a forest path for walking. There is a very dangerous precipice on the edge of the lawn and there is no fence to stop a child from falling, and the pool is not fenced either, so not suitable for small children. When we got into bed that night we started to itch a lot, it took us a while to realize that the cause was a bunch of bugs in the linen. I'm not sure if it's bed bugs or wood lice. We called the caretaker to come check and he said he was coming but he never did. It rained hard, but we packed up in the middle of the night in the rain and drove because we couldn't sleep like that at all. We also tried the owner's cell phone, but there was no answer. The owner did call the next day and apologized and refunded our money, which we really appreciated.
It was very nice. The bathrooms were very clean and the braai facilities was also verby nice.
Hospitality and tranquility.
The environment is a big plus, beautiful scenery. There is a small swimming pool (it's without a fence, so families with small children be aware). The residential unit is nice and clean. Cutlery, cookware and cooking facilities are very basic and limited, a small microwave oven, 1 small pot, a pan, and a 2 plate stove whose heat goes on and off so it takes a very long time to cook something or pan fry, the power kicks in if you use the microwave and stove at the same time - difficult to prepare a meal for 6 people. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. For the right traveler (young, adventurous people who only need basic cooking, eating and sleeping facilities) this will provide a wonderful getaway.
