Very! The place is small but very cheap: it's great value for money! The place is also very comfortable, with everything you could want: fireplace, porch, comfortable chairs, kitchen, etc. It's also only a few minutes' walk from the center of town.

Perfect accommodation for a recharging break away in silence, (private and alone), beautiful surroundings and cosy, clean, tidy cottage. Everything you need, with special extras such as biscuits, fireplace, wood and fresh flowers. Spring stays in touch with information (places to eat etc.) and weather forecast/warnings. We will definitely be back soon.

Well situated in the village. Very comfortable accommodation with no frills. A woodburning fireplace which works really well and an outstanding shower. Really comfortable bed.

The photo on the web page is out of date. There is a lot of shade and the house is cold because of it. Very central, nice shower, no place to pack up bathroom items, the mirror in the bathroom doesn't work at all, too high and not positioned correctly. The kitchen is not well equipped, a lot of waste of space. Otherwise very cute, had a great time.

We had a very nice stay. The cottage is more than sufficient for an evening or two and you can sit on the veranda and relax. Lenta's communication is excellent.

The Victorian fireplace was a winner on the cold Karoo nights, as were many other thoughtful touches, such as filter coffee and homemade rusks supplied.

It was a really cute little house and fantastic if you have a pet. The lady was very accommodating and made the cottage nice for us before we came. There are plenty of activities in town. It was lovely and I would highly recommend it for couples of 2 and a pet.

McGregor really is a gem of a small town with a road that dead ends in the mountains for 14 km to the village. Lovely to walk through the streets and a few eateries to choose from as well as Craft beer. Dogs are welcome in the village and we walked every day. Just be on the lookout for children begging and keep your mobile phone and wallet safe. No serious crime, but you can be a bit harassed if your vehicle registration gives you away.

Suggestions: A closet or 2 to unpack clothes. Cleanliness of the front garden. Smell from the beams was a bit bad.

We were at Betty Boop Kothuis for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Our hostess welcomed us with open arms, and made sure we had the key and that everything was OK at the cottage, even though we arrived late in McGregor from Cape Town. The unit was clearly marked and easy to find at night. Our Jeep was safely behind a gate under a canopy the entire time we were there. The cottage is small, yet big enough for two people who want to get away from the city for a weekend. The cottage boasts a comfortable double bed, a fireplace for the cold evenings, a dining table, kitchen and bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. Everything neat and in working order. Hot water in taps and an equipped kitchenette. The front porch is nicely trimmed and offers a nice place to sit and enjoy the outside light. There was a mosquito repellant spray in the room to control the mosquitoes that wanted to visit. There is a Weber braai for a nice braai on the stoepie itself. We arranged to bring our dog children with us and they were welcome too. McGregor is relatively small and we were able to visit most of the old buildings on foot from the cottage, the market and the Temenosoord. A shop is a stone's throw away if you need anything, although McGregor himself has plenty of places to eat if you don't want to cook yourself. The place offers value for money for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle and just find themselves in silence. Our hostess was always friendly and checked in regularly to make sure everything was OK.
