There were all amenities such as electricity (3-point plugs), weather/dining table near plug and light to update, the WiFi was sufficient and reliable, nice porch to sit, outdoor barbecue. Strictly self-catering, there is all cutlery, microwave oven, regular oven, stove, fridge/freezer, double bed, large TV, sofa and a wardrobe, all out and in very good condition. Security is good with gate that opens with code lock. Peaceful, quiet environment.

We had a great stay! Cute little house, it's neat, well equipped with everything you need. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. It was a lovely getaway, with the most beautiful nature view!

Stayed at the River Sanctuary accommodation, it was beautiful, and there are nice (indigenous) forest paths for day walks.
The house is very nicely located under trees and next to the stream. Our 2 year old and dogs enjoyed the owl walking trail in the forest with us.
The environment is very beautiful and peaceful. About 16 km from Wilderness, so we explored the whole area. Everyone on the farm was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go there again.
Beyond the moon is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, everything was ready for us when we got there, nothing was missing. I was just terribly afraid of the frogs, torre and spiders. I would advise guests to be prepared for this. There was no WiFi, but this is understandable since we are in the middle of a forest. So bring your internet. I would also have liked it if there was something like a trampoline for the children or a playground on the grass.

Maybe an idea is to put a grater in the box. The coffee and biscuits were delicious when we got there, with the chilly weather. Thank you very much, had a great time. Would love to book one of the other cottages at some point.
Very nice surroundings and easy to get to other activities.
We loved it so much, we've decided to make it our family reunion spot. If you love the bush and river streams, this place will feel like heaven with endless walks along the river. A few things to note to make your stay more enjoyable: (We stayed in the River Sanctuary). Bring your own salt and pepper, sharp/cutting/steak knives, drinking water, and containers for leftovers. There is no cellphone reception or WiFi except at the entrance of the farm. No DSTV except for sport blitz and SABC's. Bring room spray or essential oil diffuser as the unit is quite stuffy from being kept closed due to baboons. If you're bothered by dirt, dust, and spider webs, this is not the place for you - it needs a thorough, deep clean and some repair work.
Nice clean and tidy, cell phone signal and WiFi was not always available, but it didn't bother much. Nice forest to walk in and enjoy nature. Will definitely stay there again if I need to spend the night in the area.

We had a peaceful stay at the Farm. Our cottage was neat and cosy. They can accommodate loadshedding. It's cold and very dark. A light or a flask where you can store hot water would have been nice.

We enjoyed every moment of the walk in forest paths, rowing on the pond, hanging out on the sunny porch and cozy fireplace evenings.
I would recommend beyond the moon we stayed in Rivier Sanctuary hearing the river whiles lying in ur bed was truly amazing. I love the fact that the owners gave us our privacy. We saw some beautiful monkeys despite the loadshedding which did not bother us because of the beautiful nature setting amazing.
We had an amazing time during our 4 night stay at Beyond the Moon. We were a group of 13 with a pet which the farm accommodated comfortably. Kids could swing, cycle on their bikes and fish while adults relaxed on the deck overlooking the pond and grounds. Jaco was very welcoming and assisted us with any query immediately. We forgot an item at the venue and he got hold of us immediately. We are already looking forward to a future visit at this little slice of heaven.
Little attention can be paid to the contents of the house. We had to ask for steak knives. Remember people who are on holiday always braai. Then the upright candle holders' stitch point is too big for the candles. The candles broke and we had to put them in saucers which is a safety risk. Maybe just get others. Smaller salad bowls that fit in the fridge can also help and leave mats by the doors. The hot water in the shower, you also have to turn the sink open for stronger pressure. Maybe just peek at it too. Furthermore, the cottage was very well furnished and also private. We will definitely stay here again. The scenery with the ponds and boat was fantastic.
Owner contacted me directly regarding directions and code for the gate for arrival. Rooms were neat and clean. It is wonderfully quiet, and we went for the short walk through the forest. Wi-Fi was not available.

It was very relaxing, we as friends felt safe. The owners in no way made us feel like we didn't belong, but rather gave us so much space to just have a good time, and we intend to definitely visit Beyond at Moon Farm again.
The River Sanctuary at Beyond the Moon was everything the "Love-of-the-forest-heart" of mine could ask for. This beautiful, simple log cabin makes you feel like you're living in the woods: small water stream, large native trees, ferns and moss right on your front porch. These 3 days without signal, close to nature and my Creator were heavenly. The cottage itself has large windows in the living room so that even inside the cottage you could feel close to the forest. Something that was very special was the literal "beyond the moon" shower, with hot water! What an experience! Beyond the Moon also has its own little walking trail through the natural forest with beautiful old forest giants. I walked through it every day and just marveled at the beautiful scenery and mentally found myself in the "Garden of Eden". This place is a gem, my heart is stolen! The 3 days felt a little long for the two teenage boys, but Dad was willing to take them back to "civilization" every now and then. This mother didn't want to know anything about "civilization" and just let herself drink in the bliss of the forest.
The pictures of Beyond the Moon on LekkeSlaap looks the same as reality. Everything was in place when we got there. The gas stove didn't work at all. We had to make breakfast in the microwave, but it tasted good. The lights on the balcony were also out. We had a really nice stay, thank you to the owners for your great farm.
Nice hiking trail, but the owl trail needs a bit of renovation and some of the trail signs are gone. The farm is lovely and good value for money.
The forest is right next to the cottages, and there are paths along the streams to explore. The routes are not well marked for long walks, but the 30 minute circular route is easy enough to follow. Froggy Lodge is very comfortable and tidy. For mid-winter you need a lot of firewood and/or blankets to stay warm, but it was cozy with the nice sports etc on the DSTV when the weather kept us inside. With teenagers, it was excellent for us that there was no mobile phone reception at the cottage itself, but that you could walk up to the gate to get a signal.
Wonderful hike up to the waterfall. Highly recommended.
For us, the highlight was the river right next to our cottage and the water you hear running and birds singing in the mornings! From every window you look out there is beautiful nature. The fire place almost on the river was so nice to visit. The fireplace in the living room was fantastic! Everything was so cozy and we enjoyed a lovely, relaxing weekend.
Braai wood was a bonus.

We had a great time at BTM. If you are looking for tranquility and to become one with nature this is definitely the place to be. The River Sanctuary Cottage is beautifully furnished with nice clean white bedding and a well-equipped kitchen. Your view from every room is beautiful and the sound of the river with all its frogs in the evenings and fireflies in the forest was an experience for us city jays. Because there was not much Wi-Fi reception, we could once again live without the phones and tablets and just drink in and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Gosh, this really is a hidden gem! We traveled with our teenagers and toddler and we were so happy staying here. Wish it was for longer but this was the last stop on a 4000 km road trip. We will definitely be back! Just a pity we didn’t meet our hosts.
Our stay at Beyond the Moon Farm was really nice, our house, Francolin, is very well-equipped with everything you may need. We were 4 adults and there was enough space. The view and tranquility are also very memorable and just what one needs. The trail on the farm is also very nice and felt like being on another planet. It is also very centrally located. Can drive from there to return to tranquility.
We were at Beyond the moon for a weekend. It rained all weekend. We relaxed on the sofas with a glass of wine in front of the fireplace while looking at the beautiful scenery of the forest. We will definitely be back especially in the summer to have a nice barbecue outside and sit in the stream. Don't forget the shower outside in nature!
Stunning place! Definitely perfect to relax with your family if you are looking for beautiful scenery and tranquility! Kingfisher is very cozy with its fireplace and the owners really think of everything, from coffee and biscuits to foot blankets for in front of the fireplace!
We were greeted with farm hospitality and immediately felt at home. The cottage was clean and tidy and had all the amenities one needs. It was also great to watch the rugby on Saturday. We also say thank you for the complimentary wood. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone. Thanks again for everything.

Kingfisher Cottage was a beautiful cottage with more than enough space for us and our dogs. The house has everything and more that one needs for a few days' getaway. We especially loved the many windows and glass doors that make the place feel even more spacious. The braai area by the dam is a lovely place to sit and relax and chat at night. We will definitely go back again - especially midweek when there aren't many other guests and you feel like you're on your own on another planet, away from everything and everyone and just surrounded by trees and beautiful lawns.

Beyond the Moon was one of our favourite places for our honeymoon 10 years ago and with our current stay it was just as special. Beautiful location and breathtaking nature. Will definitely be there again in the future.

A lovely getaway. It is wonderful to be so surrounded with nature. The forest path walking route is a lovely way to start and/or end the day. The managers and staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.
The cottage is excellently equipped with a fireplace, extra blankets and heaters for the winter cold. There is plenty of space and the porch and outdoor barbecue area have a wonderful location right next to two ponds with the most beautiful willow tree across the water. Private, peaceful, good for the soul, but close enough to Wilderness to quench the teenagers' thirst for free Wi-Fi. Small but important aspects: enough pendants and fresh flowers! Highly recommended for souls who want to rest and recharge batteries.

Froggy Lodge, I think is the pick of the bunch. Spacious, clean and with DStv (which we didn't need). We enjoyed the surrounding area - great drives and walks. The little coffee shop in Hoekwil is a must.

We were at first not happy about the cottage that they quote us on (Kestrel cottage). The cottage did not look like the website at all. The cottage had no TV or proper chairs to sit on in the lounge area, and due to the sparsity felt like a backpackers. They did up grade us to a different cottage that had TV and proper chairs and other facilities in. We canâ??t complain about the services we had. Thanks for up grading us.
Our week at Beyond the Moon in Froggie Lodge was wonderful. The facilities were clean, tidy and with enough space for our family of 5. The children really enjoyed rowing on the dams, and we as a family found the walking route through the forest more beautiful than other routes on the garden route. The only complaint from my husband was about the frog ear which kept him awake sometimes at night.
