Very nice stay by the river. That the river was running was a bonus. Excellent for bird watching - would have liked to stay longer, will do again one day.
Website images and reality do not match. 3 persons in tent by river and 1 in cottage next to it. Tent very basic and almost like back then in the army. Cottage not even a glass or coffee facilities. Also no chair to sit inside or on small porch. Superficial lodge-type detail such as horns on the outer wall, but in our case a misrepresentation. Also no wildlife to see or offer to see. Apart from delicious meat and salad provided by owners a disappointing experience.
Loved the fire pit and tented camp set up.
Very unique place. Delicious Kudu fillet stews and Kudu sausage are to be recommended.
We really enjoyed our time at a Bhejane! The facilities were perfect, we really enjoyed the open air shower. The service was excellent, warm and friendly! I highly recommend this as a place to visit.

'n Kampplek vir dié wat na aan die natuur lewe. Phillip en Adriana het ons hartlik ontvang en was baie behulpsaam. Ons is bederf met wonderlike hardekoolhout. Die sterre in die Karoonag was pragtig.

Beautiful and quiet setting, the accommodation was as advertised. The starry night and mountains were breathtaking. No cell phone reception makes it the ideal place to get away from technology and the hustle and bustle of life. It was a lovely refreshing overnight stay after a long drive from JHB on the way to Cape Town.
We went primarily for the game farm and there were almost no animals as it is a hunting game farm so the animals are very skittish. We only saw two buck which we could not make out as they ran away from us so fast. Otherwise it is beautiful and the hosts where very friendly.
Very nice accommodation and the booking and follow-up was very professional.

It's a beautiful area and the owners are lovely people. We stayed in the lodge. It's basically 2 separate rooms (2 single beds with a bathroom and a common outdoor kitchen and braai area). It was just us and the view is fantastic. I do think it would be awkward if there were strange people staying in the next room. I would love to stay again for more than just one night!

We had a wonderful recharge at Bhejane and 4 nights felt like two weeks of rest. This is what one does here: completely switch off from the outside world. Phillip and Adriana are an excellent team and made us feel very welcome. Feel free to try their home-baked, fresh, warm farm bread! We also recommend the game drive. I am not sure that it is clear on the web how many people can be accommodated per chalet. 4 or 5 guests can be accommodated in a Chalet with ease as each has two rooms. I suggest this is well communicated with Phillip and Adriana.
The place was dirty and smelled unpleasant. The owner forgot we were coming. The toilet did not work and the water in the shower did not drain. We had to wash all kitchen equipment before we could use it. It was definitely not value for money. We were very disappointed.
The friendlyness of Phillip and Adriana was wonderful. We stayed a day longer than planned and felt at home. Amazing place to come to rest. We hope we can come here again!
Friendly reception and the rooms were beautiful. There was no hot water and the place was a bit dusty and difficult to access by car. Otherwise it was gorgeous there and I will recommend it for sure.
The chalets are perfectly located on the river banks with the most beautiful view. There is a fireplace in the main bedroom and a very well placed indoor braai. I will definitely go back to Bhejane Game Reserve.
The woman who runs/owns the place is really a fantastic person. There was a misunderstanding with our booking and she upgraded us from a camping spot to a chalet with a smile without asking any questions. We really appreciated it and we had a great stay. Fantastic view, very quiet and relaxing, good facilities in the chalet. Will definitely recommend. Thanks for your trouble and hospitality, God bless in 2017!
Peacefully nestled in the "bushveld" of the Karoo. Picture perfect. I will recommend it to anyone who likes getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city noise, to pay this place a visit. We saw animals and birds from the patio and the mountains in front of our tent amazed us, especially when we woke up. The "biltong steaks" are a must and can be bought from the owner. Friendly, hospitable owners who likes a chat, a nice braai and picture perfect scenery. What more could you want?

For complete tranquility it is absolutely perfect. The boma is managed as if it were yours. All amenities are available. No cell phone reception so you can fully relax.
Beautiful surroundings and blissful silence. Unfortunately no wildlife seen because the woods are very thick and the water drinking place is far from the lodge. The lodge is more geared towards men who would only grill meat and the kitchen facilities can therefore be improved. The road signs are not clear. It is 32 km on a poor cement road from Willowmore to Steytlerville and then 10 km on a good wide dirt road (correctly indicated on the directions so far), but then you have to turn off on a small dirt road (good condition for ' n sedan) with no directions for a further 10 km.
For tent camping in the woods, the setup is really, really nice. The owner received us kindly and personally took us to the accommodation. Everything was clean and tidy. It is very quiet and safe. Kids loved the view and silence. Bonus is no cell phone reception. The only negative aspect is the road from Willowmore. The road is bad and I wouldn't recommend an ordinary car. Rather a larger SUV or van.
