47 guests' feedbackAmazing and unforgettable!
The most amazing place - beautifully appointed, comfortable, charming, with unexpected quality touches and Karoo liefde spoils. We absolutely loved our stay here. The swimming dam was a bonus in the heatwave. I couldn't recommend it more!
We do not have enough words to describe this unique and wonderful experience at Biesieslaagte Guest Farm. It is now pure farm! Everything took my breath away. The beautiful decor, the books! Great pampering with good quality linen and towels. The farmhouse is super clean and comfortable, furnished with so much style and finishing touches. Freda's passion for what she does is noticeable in everything. She is a lovely hostess with the most beautiful heart. Thank you very much for all the treats - rusks, home-baked milk tarts, the cute tin rolls, eggs, butter and jam. The fresh herbs - rosemary and mint in the kitchen add a touch of flavor. We can recommend Biesieslaagte with full confidence. Can't wait to experience it again.
Heavenly, excellent peaceful.
We had a very nice stay. Frieda, the hostess, welcomed us with home-baked bread, jam, biscuits and even eggs for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.
The house was very clean. It is safe and very beautiful. We loved our stay there. Thanks to Oom Andries and Tannie Freda.
Biesieslaagte was an absolute pleasure arriving at after 10 hours on the road. We immediately felt at home and relaxed. The attention to detail and the extra treats are next level. Our dogs also loved exploring the garden. Thank you to the hosts for going above and beyond and also for creating this little piece of heaven in the Karoo.
A wonderful overnight place. Everything was great! Will pay a visit there again.
My wife and I had a great stay with our 2 dogs. They enjoyed the yard immensely. The unit was very clean and had everything and more that was needed. We will definitely stay there again.
An exceptional location where one can enjoy the tranquility and starry sky of the Karoo. No cell phone reception makes you switch off completely. The hospitality and all the "extras" that were there really made it a special stay.
Piece of heaven! Should please don't drive past this place. Definitely a must! Everything we expected, and more!
We had a wonderful time at Biesieslaagte. Everything is in the right place and the owners are especially friendly and provide more than can ever be expected.
What an unforgettable experience - Would recommend Biesieslaagte to any person, family or large group traveling through the Karoo. Most beautiful place, friendliest hostess, most delicious milk tart, bread and jam. You will definitely see us again! Next time for a bit longer.
Absolute gem! Amazing place. The hostess is very friendly and everything is just amazing. Never had such delicious milk tart as what was given to us. There was freshly baked bread and wooden eggs, etc. Amazing and definitely a must have place! We give it a 20/10 rating!
Very nice. Thank you.
Incredible hospitality that one can only find in the Karoo.
It was heavenly, just too short. Would recommend it for sure. Everything you need is available. You become aware of your Creator's greatness anew.
Biesieslaagte is like a small oasis in the wonderful Karoo for us. This was our second visit in one year. What a blessing! Thank you Lord. This time our human children came with our Schnauzer children. We swam, barbecued, hung around the 'bonfire' pit, had a sunset photo session and appreciated the clear starry sky. Biesieslaagte's silence will surely keep your soul 'grounded'. Thank you again to dear Freda for your Karoo hospitality, kindness and delicious, freshly baked milk tarts, buns, rusks and jam. May we see each other again soon.
Attention to everything required to offer the best for the customer. From fridge loaded with milk, eggs, butter, cheese etc. and especially one fresh milk tart to freshly baked breads and jam etc. Winter sheets and electric blanket. Whole house has a wonderful farm atmosphere. Our second visit and definitely want to come again. Best hostess and husband ever.
The house is very well furnished with a very nice Karoo atmosphere and nice treats. We strongly recommend Biesieslaagte for an overnight stay or a long holiday.
Biesieslaagte is quite possibly the only place in all my travels where I didn't want to leave in the morning. The fact that there was no signal was an added advantage. What an extraordinary place, and Frieda (hostess) who talks passionately about her place and people. Retirement's ass, greetings.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. In addition, the fireplace in the kitchen was a real place to visit.
It was an unforgettable fun experience. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. The clean smell and warm bed (warm blanket), the incredible view of Karoo forests in the distance, the tranquility and bliss of no one or nothing, not even a message on the phone. This is where you come if you want to rest your soul and learn to do nothing (or just what you want). I can't wait to go back. It was an incredibly special experience and the hostess was as warm and full of love as the house. Her effort and care shows!
House is very well equipped and original. Very good quality. Great linens and decor. Very good reception.
We really enjoyed the place. The children experienced the freedom of the farm.
Everything, everything but everything was great! Our hostess made so much effort to make us feel at home! Bottle of wine in the fridge, a very delicious milk tart, freshly baked pot bread with a small bottle of jam as well as a knife to cut the bread with. Marshmallows for the braai, braai wood in the fireplace and outdoor braai. Even real ground coffee beans for plunger coffee etc. Very fine detail everywhere. Too many to mention. flowers in every room and lesson. The best scent in the house! Can't get enough of everything, and just to top it all off, those wide spaces of the Karoo around us! We are definitely going back for longer.
Wow. We had a wonderful experience at Biesieslaagte! Freda received us with so much love and hospitality and we immediately felt as if we had arrived with family. The house is so beautifully decorated, without taking anything away from the humble Karoo style. There was a delicious milk tart, bottle of red wine, tinned buns with butter and jam, fresh eggs, even marshmallows to fry, freshly picked flowers around every corner. Lovely, good quality bedding ensured a good night's rest. There is everything you need and more. I really can't describe in words. Biesieslaagte stole a part of our hearts! We wish we could stay longer!
Home-baked rusks and delicious milk tarts, good coffee and ice-cold wine awaited us. What a festive visit with genuine Karoo hospitality. Our Schnauzers were just as exuberant as we were about Biesieslaagte. It was truly the pinnacle of our holiday. No WiFi, no cell phone reception didn't bother us at all. Thank you very much!
We loved Biesieslaagte Guest Farm. Janika and Freda were wonderful hostesses. They exceeded our wildest expectations. We felt so welcome. It's nice and cozy. We really didn't lack anything. Thank you very much ladies.
Wow they made so much effort, there are flowers in pots all over the house. Nice milk tart in the fridge and the most beautiful farmhouse. Will definitely stay there again.
What a fantastic experience! From the home-baked milk tart to the bread and jam, from the books! This is a must for anyone traveling through the Karoo! We as a family with children enjoyed the farm dam and barbecued in the boma under the stars.
Great farm experience and very well kept.
Incredible getaway in a breathtaking and magnificent tranquil setting! The Biesieslaagte farmhouse has an authentic farm holiday feel, excellently laid out and equipped with all the creature comforts and more! The hosts were friendly, considerate and so incredibly thoughtful with braai marshmallows, home baked jam heart biscuits, farm baked bread, eggs and lemons, ice, woodfire and fresh flowers that were all generously given to make us feel incredibly welcome and making your stay with them memorable! The Biesieslaagte Guest farm has something for everyone to do and enjoy whether you are busy bodies like us or just want to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the private property to see and enjoy! There are many walking, mtb, and driving routes. The property has a lovely braai area outside and inside the gorgeous farm. Kitchen with plenty of seating and shelter for both winter and summer, with seating that guests can enjoy their morning coffee, sandwiches or evening sundowners from. There is a spectacular farm pool that guests can enjoy and cool down in after a hike or cycle or on a warm sunny Karoo day! Best part is that you have the best views of the Karoo for miles just there from your own private farm pool! In the evening you are mesmerized by the milky way and sounds from the animal's settling down for the night. We will definitely recommend Biesieslaagte Guest Farm as a must visit for anyone who loves the outdoors or wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Can't wait to visit again very soon! Thank you Juan and Mom for your incredible hospitality and for making our stay magical!
Attention has been given to every detail in the beautiful place. The fresh bread, butter and eggs make you feel so welcome and are delicious. Next time, we will for sure sleep more than one night there.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the farm. It has such a tasteful decor right through the house. The hostess is such a lovely person and no luxury is missing. There was freshly baked tinned bread waiting for us with home-made butter and delicious apricot jam. The most delicious fresh farm eggs. We enjoyed every moment. The beds were so comfortable. The children even swam in the pond. I just wanted to visit longer next time. One night is too little. One could breathe there and rest before the long road ahead.
I know its a widely used phrase but the attention to details, home made jam waiting in the kitchen, beautiful books and garden really made me wanting to stay longer. Could not recommend more.
The house is spacious and tidy. Good quality linen. A lot of attention paid to make visitors feel at home. Hostess is so friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to come back one day and stay longer. Thank you!
Absolutely lovely farmhouse, completely isolated with no wifi or cell phone reception, and just beautiful scenery and night skies. The house is stunning, tastefully decorated with everything you could need including an array of homemade products, fresh eggs and bread awaiting us. We would gladly visit again, but next time stay for much longer.
I will visit again - 10/10.
Fabulous surprise! Such attention to detail. We felt super welcome. A basket of eggs, bowl of lemons, jars of jam, fresh bread and butter, vases of beautiful flowers were given. The whole experience way surpassed what we expected. We highly recommend Biesieslaagte Guest House. We will definitely stay there again.
We were spoiled from the moment we walked in with home-baked bread and jam. Definitely a wonderful opportunity to experience true Karoo calm and hospitality.
Top notch hospitality. There was a basket for us with bread, butter, jam, marshmallows and cookies and crackers. Coffee, tea and milk. There were eggs for the morning's breakfast. The wood was already packed if we wanted to barbecue inside or outside. Our bedside lamps were on and we felt so at home. What might be a problem for others - there is no cell phone reception. We drove about 5 -7 km back on the main road in the direction of Carnavon to be able to use our mobile phones. (For us it is heavenly not to have catchment). We will stay there again and then for more than just 1 day.
Best night, most beautiful stars and silence. Just what you need.
The listing does not do this amazing place justice! We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. The silent Karoo, the beautiful stars and no signal makes for a perfect wind down with a book. Thanks!
We are warmly welcomed. Everything was comfortable, neat and clean. We were able to experience a wonderful evening under the stars.
Large spacious accommodation, nice barbecue area, night sky was breathtaking.
Next time we stay for a few days.
