17 guests' feedbackIf I could, I would give Biesiespoort 10 stars! We were warmly received and the host immediately made a plan when we realized (too late) that we were not going to be able to buy anything to eat in Loxton. There was so much attention to detail. Top quality linen, cutlery, decor, scented candles, etc. Even fresh flowers in the house. The house exceeded all expectations and the tranquility on the farm was truly just what we needed to get rid of all stress. Wish we could stay there even longer.
This accommodation was for us the very best we have ever had. Why? The size of the house, the facilities, the love with which everything was done, the deep thoughtfulness with which everything was done from the reception to the decor and the facilities (eg the strong flashlights next to the fireplace in the lobby!) we completely overwhelmed and dumbfounded. Couldn't believe the space and cleanliness and tastefulness. The silence was a rest for the soul and a respite after a tiring holiday. We were only two people and did not use the upstairs rooms. We would have liked to stay another night, but unfortunately there were guests booked for the next night. We will stay here again - anytime if we can.
It was incredibly fun!
We spent one night at Biesiespoort Guesthouse and enjoyed it very much. Really enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality of the host!
Was a wonderful experience. Had a wonderful stay. Everything nice and neat. Proper Karoo feeling on the farm!
Biesiespoort received us warmly with hospitality. The accommodation offers home away from home - everything you need and more! We feasted on the most delicious homemade mutton sausage, chops and pot bread. We had the privilege of being in time for the lambing season which greatly amused the children. The night ended with breathtaking stars. Such a beautiful place. We will definitely make this our regular stop between JHB and the Cape.
Biesiespoort is a beautiful nostalgic drop-off location that has recently been newly renovated, with an enlarged enclosed patio and braai facilities for the boss braaier. The decor and overall ease of use is fantastic and all conveniences and extras are available. The beautiful Karo village of Loxton is a stone's throw away. Hanneke is an excellent hostess who is always available to help or give advice about the town and surroundings. Do not pass this beautiful place.
I would recommend the following though: a bag of wood and blitz. Consider an upstairs toilet.
We only stayed one night, but everything in the house was adequate and in good working order. Lannice made us feel welcome from the early morning before our arrival via WhatsApp and also received us very kindly when we arrived. Can recommend it anytime for a family with kids. Can make one suggestion - convert living room into a 3rd bedroom for that person who is unable to climb stairs.
Very old and dirty. No possible to close the main door with the key.
The farm is near Loxton. We arrived earlier than agreed and were kindly received.
We had a great time and barbecued with friends. The stay was pleasant with everything we needed.
Very neat, nicely furnished, on a beautiful farmyard. Very spacious. The stairs to the first floor will be a bit too steep for a person who is not very mobile.
It was a beautiful, well equipped house. We had a lovely stay there. Very nice clean and tidy, beds were good quality and very comfortable. The stairs may be a bit difficult for older people. We were warmly welcomed and would recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful view and scenery.
Possibly a converted farm building (sheep shearing). Bedrooms upstairs, toilet downstairs. tricky staircase to navigate, unsuitable for older guests, especially during load shedding. Three candles and no matches were supplied in case of load shedding, which did occur. No water after 20:30; after asking for water in the morning, water was pumped into the tank. We are campers and also have stayed in many guest cottages, so are accustomed to rustic accommodation. This is not what we expected after a long day of travel.
