Bietjie Bosveld Lodge really provided total relaxation and tranquil surroundings. Chalets were very clean, provisions for flies/mosquitoes were provided by the host. Towels in chalets were also provided. The pool was clean. I would go back as our stay was awesome. Really worth it!

We absolutely loved our accommodation. The tent was so comfy and had all we needed. It was great being able to sit outside and look at the bush. The roosters gave us a very early wake-up call in the mornings and the sounds of the nearby sheep and cows made us feel as though we were on a farm. The emus are definitely a problem as they are very cheeky, so make sure not to leave anything lying around. Our hosts were lovely and very attentive.

We booked in advance to stay in Piet-my-vrou tent. We were looking forward to the adventure of a tent home. Upon arrival, other guests informed us that they were staying in the tent. The host then informs us that we have been "upgraded" to a chalet. We are very disappointed. There was no coffee/milk/sugar in the upgraded chalet. At least the host promised us a free night in the tent, but this does not include our gas money from Kroonstad.

Bietjie Bosveld Lodge is nicely tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle and truly a very peaceful destination. The chalet decor makes you feel calm and welcome while constantly reminding you of the Bushveld. The owner and his wife also welcomed us very sincerely and assured us that any problems that may arise will be dealt with immediately. The children went to meet emus and explore the area. Although it was only one night's overnight stay, we can say. We slept well!

Really good service and the place is very comfortable. The flies were really just too many and unbearable - on the beds, on the floor, on the tent roof and nothing helped. Nevertheless, had a great time and would definitely recommend for a quick and peaceful getaway.
It was a first experience for us as a family, to sleep in a tent. "Glamping at its best" We were the only guests on the farm for the week. It was so nice to just lay by the pool every day and relax. Children kept themselves busy by going for walks, swinging and swimming. Nice board games in the evening by the fire. Even load shedding didn't spoil our time. There is a gas stove and kettle available in the tent. We definitely plan to go camping again and next time all the family will come together.

We slept very well. It's nice and quiet with lots of farm sounds. The emus are a bit troublesome, because the children can't sit outside and play, because they come and peck at everything.

The tree-rich and peaceful surroundings with the call of a fox in the early evening and the blesboks and emus make the stay so relaxing without the hundreds of kilometers of driving. Place was nice, but emus, although tame and friendly are quite a problem because you can't put anything outside. They will gape your food off your plate. Even pick at cell phones, which can cause damage. Perhaps a screen should be made somewhere at the tents, where one can visit without having to be on the lookout for emus all the time.

Upon entering, the warm atmosphere and cleanliness embraced me. The devil is in the details - indeed the case at Bokmakierie. Small details like the door stoppers, (cute little porcupine) and wall decorations, made our stay very nice. Warm feather duvets and soft throw blankets were a pleasant surprise! The bald goats and emos made us feel close to nature. Thank you very much for a wonderful sleepover!

Very nice accommodation with excellent surroundings and atmosphere. Nellie's service is friendly and very helpful. The units are a bit too close to each other. The neighbors in the unit next to us had visitors every night who hung out on the porch until late at night. The noise was annoying and we couldn't enjoy a peaceful night's rest. The whole idea of the peaceful atmosphere is thus disturbed. I think maybe there should just be a cut off time for noise in the evening.

It was a lovely just-do-nothing-and-rest weekend. Nelly-they are wonderful hosts and we were warmly received. Although it was cold, the lovely bedding kept us from getting cold (plus we each got a hot water bag on our bed!). More than adequately equipped with everything we needed. It was our first stay in a tented camp, and what a lovely experience! The owners received us generously and explained everything nicely - from the use of the car gate to handling the local Hans emus. The tent house was nicely equipped and equipped with everything we could need. Comfortable and clean place to sleep and hang out, braai facilities, and a lovely time to enjoy a swimming pool, walking area and farm animals - the fun never ends! Highly recommended if you are looking for accommodation close to Potch that feels like the heart of the bushveld.
If you visit Potchefstroom and don't want to stay in the town, this is your place. Undeforested, pristine natural North-West woodland as the Voortrekkers must have experienced it when they moved through here. Beautifully laid out paths, with minimal impact on nature, leading to the accommodation. Tame wild animals that roam everywhere. The luxury tent accommodation slept in has everything you need and was impeccably clean and tidy. What we will especially remember is the absolute silence of the night and the wonderful bird sounds we woke up to every morning.

We would recommend Bietjie Bosveld Lodge anytime to families who want to visit Potchefstroom and do not want to stay in the city. We were not there as tourists or on business. We just wanted to spend quiet time with our child and have fun as a family. Bietjie Bosveld Lodge is close enough to Potchefstroom to drive in if needed. We stayed in Tintinkie and the place was fully equipped with everything we needed. We had a nice barbecue in the evening and during the day we could have fun there with the feeling of nature around us. We felt very welcome, at home and safe. We will go back there again in the future.

There were a few things inside the unit that needed fixing/serviced, other than that the stay was great and beautiful, loved the wild animals on site, the kids enjoyed it. I stayed there with my two kids, one big and one small, and the three of us enjoyed it so much. I was never worried about our safety, in Gautent it's a different story. Bietjie Bosveld helped me to relax and feel myself again, so peaceful. Was so worth it. I recommend it to everyone.

Our weekend was very peaceful and quiet. The domesticated animals around the house were very special. We could walk around peacefully and safely. My two teenagers enjoyed the pool. We had a good time around the braai fire every evening. The facilities were very neat and of a good quality. The only problem was the bathroom in the master bedroom, without a door. There was only a bath and my mother (87) struggled with the bath. The only toilet was in the bathroom, without a door, in the master bedroom.

The tent was very neat and well equipped. During a heavy thunderstorm there were no leaks. Adding a shower can improve the value and utility of the tent. Everything needed to make food and keep it cold is in the tent. May be extremely hot or cold in the tent. We really enjoyed it and didn't experience any problems.
Chalets well furnished and equipped. The bathroom should also have a shower. Lighting on stoep needs to be improved for braai purposes. We were swamped with flies owing to the livestock on nearby farms but the overall stay was pleasant.

This is a place close to heaven. Beautiful view from our cottage. The cottage is beautiful with beautiful linen and the interior decoration is absolutely modern and tastefully done. Here was everything we needed (and also what we forgot). The owners really make an effort to pamper their guests with many extras in the cottage that we didn't even ask for. Will definitely visit again and recommend it to all parents with students on Potch who just want to visit soon, but don't see a chance for anything in Potch itself. Great place to walk and fresh air!

We really enjoyed the stay at Bietjie Bosveld. The tent was very well equipped and very tidy! Outstanding!
It was clean and well appointed but the lack of a shower was disappointing. Also a 6 sleeper with just one bathroom and no separate toilet was a bit of an issue. The geyser wasn't big enough for everyone to have a warm bath over a 2 hour period. In winter there should be a gas heater as the stone floors are super cold and the heater provided kept tripping the electricity. Boskop Dam is a 16 km drive away despite Google saying 3 km as there is only 1 entrance to the dam. But it was lovely and quiet, very well appointed inside the chalet and the hosts were incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

My student daughter and I had a peaceful Bushveld experience with great hospitality and accommodation (including ALS, even pampering). Will definitely come again!
It was an incredibly nice weekend in nature. Enjoyed the silence terribly. The daily visits of Emus were a nice pastime. The children thoroughly enjoyed it. The tents are nicely equipped and one can see the owners focus on the customer. Definitely going there again. The only problem for me was the dirt road to where you turn off to the lodge. It's not really made for an ordinary car.
Enjoyed our stay and will return. It was close enough to town (if needed) yet far enough to be unaware of it. Nelly is a wonderful host and made sure that everything was in order to enjoy our stay.
Excellent surprise stay. It was really lovely and so peaceful to be woken up by the birds in the morning. We often had guests on our front porch, the pony and donkey, two emus often stopped by and of course a game goat that also makes an appearance. It was a peaceful soul enriching weekend and will definitely visit again. The tent houses just bring out a different feeling of peace and tranquility.

Quaint country cottages close to Potchefstroom (15 min drive on good tar and dirt roads). Spacious and well equipped. Lovely pool for the kids to swim in and we particularly enjoyed the farm and wild animals, especially the donkeys who arrive early every morning for a breakfast treat. Will definitely stay there again if travelling that way.

George welcomed us to a lovely weekend after a longish drive from Johannesburg. Zorro and Lexie immediately made friends with us and hardly ever left our sides. We were also welcomed by the donkeys, the emus, the ponies, the roosters, the geese and the turkey. The tent was lovely, almost clean, except for a few goggas by the windows, but it is in the bush. The area was lovely and the braai a great welcome. All in all a rustic, peaceful, and pleasurable getaway.
Neat and clean accommodation, well equipped. Perfect place where we could relax after busy days at Aardklop. Nice to wake up with farm sounds in your ears. Can strongly recommend it for an overnight stay but also for a longer stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

It was a very nice weekend and enjoyed it a lot. The places are very beautiful and the animals just make it more special.
It's a lovely way to camp with all the facilities. We would have liked a shower but the bath was no problem. Animals of the resort - donkeys, ponies, emus and dogs are very tame and often appear close to the veranda. It's very peaceful and wonderful like that in nature.
Really had a great stay, some wild life and farm life to entertain the kids, as well as a nice jungle gym and awesome pool. Units are cozy with all the necessities and nice trimmings. Will definitely go again.
Sufficient, safe overnight accommodation with a nice view.
The access routes are not recommended. Covered parking is definitely necessary.
