It was great to stay at BietjiePlaas. The staff is friendly, and it doesn't feel like you are in the city. You can relax outside on your veranda and watch all the animals roaming around there.

Perfect. Please build more houses because we could not stay for 3 nights which we wanted due to being fully booked. Very good WiFi and TV entertainment system.
Little farm is very close to the N1 (maybe 500m) but you don't hear any noise. You are in the city, yet on a "farm" among wildebeest and sable bellies. The older accommodation is very cold especially in winter, and next to the main house. Select the newer units that are in the field. No air conditioning, but we slept very well, even in the cold winter weather. You wonder where you're going when you turn away from the Zambezi toll gate, because it seems like you're on your way with a lot of taxis. Just follow the signs to Roodeplaat dam? and then turn left at the gas station on Maroela Road. Dirt road for 1 km, turn left into Lalapalm Road, about 500m to the gate. Call, and they open. We felt safe, and went for a walk in the field. We always sleep here on the way to Oliver Tambo.
The accommodation is simple, but everything one needs. The doing nothing in blissful silence was heavenly! All the wildlife walking past your door is a bonus.

From booking the unit up till now I haven't had any communication from the owner/manager. I do feel they can make a little more effort with communicating with the clients. We were pleasantly surprised! There was a piano! The musicians immediately started strumming. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was neat, clean and very comfortable and spacious. The garden is beautiful and the farm feel was a bonus! Definitely see you again!
Everything was just right for us, the place is very nice and tidy. We also had 3 cute visitors who made me long for my puppies that summer. And the wildlife runs close in summer, it's just relaxing. I would stay there again anytime. Maybe it would just be more convenient if the houses had numbers on them so that you know where to go directly. There are puppies on the site and we were afraid we would run into them, but they are actually very smart and very cute! We were five adults. This place had enough room for us. Unfortunately, a cable was stolen in the area and this resulted in no water or electricity. The owner was careful not to start the generator before daylight. I was impressed with the extra security measures. The goats that graze so quietly are a plus.

It's on the farm, so it's quiet and safe. The workers are very friendly and helpful. However, there is a problem with the hot water. When you shower it is either freezing cold or boiling hot with a little bit of time in between that is lukewarm. They paid attention to it, but in the evening it was still the same. In front of the apartment was everyone's parking, so you have no private space to hang out or barbecue outside. In general, the visit was peaceful, as we basically just slept over.
The place was immaculately clean. Nice and private and safe. Very nice stay for the weekend. You drive a piece of dirt road that is not so nice, but not too bad. The WiFi password may only be set up in the unit.
The internet service did not work at first. It was then restored but was very slow - couldn't be used for something like Netflix. Later it didn't work either, so I just relied on my own data.
The units are beautiful and well equipped. It's wonderfully quiet and Belinda ensures personal, friendly service.
The unit has room for 7 people. Everything was neat and clean. Security is through two remote controlled gates. There is a certain 1 km dirt road that can also be tackled with a flat car. (even if it's a bit like corrugated iron) Turn off is about 400m dirt road. Probably the only thing we could find that wasn't quite right was the kitchen faucet that was loose. Besides, there's nothing wrong with a nice big bathroom. Ideal for an overnight stay if one wants to do something in the city without being in the city.
We really enjoyed it, if you just want to get away from the city we can definitely recommend BietjiePlaas. They are still busy with developments so there are no activities at the moment, but if you really just want to get away and rest definitely go there. I would just like to have a 1- or 2-plate stove or a convection plate to be able to make a breakfast and a bowl to put the roast meat in, but other than that there is everything you need. We will definitely go again.

The air conditioner was broken and the fans in the rooms did not help at all. We had to open the windows so that the rooms could cool down. As a result, a wave of flies and mosquitoes overwhelmed us!
Rained Thick layer of mud packed under mudguards and tires. Pickup coming from the front hit a puddle of mud and covered my vehicle with red mud on top and on the right side.
Neat rooms more than adequate for an overnight stay. Children enjoyed the chickens and goats.

Very good value for money, if one has to be on the North side of Pretoria. One avoids the traffic, toll gates and the city noise. Geese for watchdogs; and long-tailed executioners for alarm clocks. Clean, tidy and safe; and you can calmly go about your business and do what you have to do.

Really in a farm environment and close to China Mall for food and shopping. The dirt road was a bit bad but it was part of the local council, not Bietjie Plaas's.

Missed the rusk the first night/morning, but the rusk was there the second night and very tasty (maybe a little bit if you're thin) but at least it's supposed to be just a snack. Faucets in the shower are nicely marked (red for hot and blue for cold), I think faucets at the cute wash basin can also be marked. We hope to be able to stay there again if necessary.
Close to shopping centers and restaurants. Friendly hostess. Good place to sleep. Maybe they should just pass on the WiFi's secret code to guests because the cell phone reception is poor, but once again we had a wonderful stay.

A few things did not work correctly, like the AC, and the the fridge. But they were very quick to fix it, for us, and very helpful. Good internet. I would recommend a hook for a towel to hang in the toilet so you can dry your hands. The fridge was a little small, for our five-day stay. Also I would recommend that the freezer be thawed out, and ready for the next guest use, as it was all iced up. Other than that, it was a great place to stay, and I would greatly recommend it.
The unit was well equipped but we struggled feeling safe from spiders since the unit had not been prepped before hand and we found ourselves feeling slightly uncomfortable as these were very big spiders all over in every corner. There was also a very high window that was open and all the mosquitoes came through there which the owner was unable to close themselves.
Everything was up to standard, the beds were comfortable, the linen good quality, everything we needed for our stay. It is so safe, the WiFi was a bonus for our stay, I will definitely come back and will recommend it to my friends.

Very sorry we couldn't stay here longer. The apartment is super clean and tidy. When you drive into the gate, a bunch of different types of antelopes greet you. Dead quiet in the evenings, beds sleep incredibly well and the owners are very friendly. I can definitely recommend 219Lalapalm and will definitely stay here again myself!
Would recommend air conditioning, it was very hot. The dirt road was also very bad after the rain. Affordable and well located. Maybe you should just warn future visitors not to turn off next to the police station. Other than that we had a nice stay.

I have stayed at a few overnights before and Bietjieplaas rates one of the best that I have stayed at. The chalet is spacious and very clean and the surroundings tranquil. We found the plot easily and were able to move in early which was nice. Amenities are good and with the boundary wire of the game camp at the apartment, the feeling of a farm was just nice. Various types of birds also made a visit. If you like Broodbome (Cycads) there is a beautiful nursery 5 km away which we visited in the afternoon. Full DStv gave us a chance to catch the Springboks match we missed that night.

The place is very neat and everything looks new and beautiful. There are a few small things that are lacking, but nothing serious. However, one of the permanent residents disregarded our privacy, but it was also nice and quiet.
Loved seeing the animals and although it is private, the lack of cleaning services during our stay was an issue for me. I did feel like a bit of a prisoner having the kitchen door locked, so we could not go into the courtyard. Lack of a braai pan and pans in the oven were a problem, but we will remember to take with us if we go again.

Lalapalm is a comfortable place to stay, close to Roodeplaatdam and centrally located. It's out of the traffic of Pretoria. Everything and clean and very tidy and Belinda is a very good hostess. We had a wonderful stay.
