We were made to feel very welcome by the hostess. Charming accommodation and garden. The lovely sandwiches were an added bonus.
Reception is friendly and hospitable, clean and tidy cottage, very comfortable. Secure parking. Had a great sleep after 9 hours on the road. Really a cute place, quiet and peaceful, feels like a farm in town. Would definitely recommend it.
Quiet neighborhood close to major routes and eateries. Biffie makes that little extra effort that will keep you coming back. We will definitely sleep over again if the road gets too long.
Unfortunately we only stayed one night and would definitely return and recommend anytime. Due to various reasons we arrived late and we appreciate that the aunt was so accommodating. The units are beautiful with everything you need and extra touches that just make it more welcoming - arrived late at night, was tired and cold and appreciated it so much, from the friendly welcome, the warm blanket already on, a sandwich for the long drive the next morning. We can see why there is so much positive feedback, that's precisely why we chose Biffie's.

The hostess was friendly, considerate and everything one would expect from a hostess, and even more. Warmed our room, even turned on the warm blanket and provided delicious biscuits and coffee. She even went to the trouble of buying me biscuits in town. We had a very nice stay. This is 5 star accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay. My husband was treated to a glass of wine and I to an electric blanket, as the cold came quickly in April. We were in the village ON THE MOUNTAIN for a funeral and therefore packed light. In the fridge were delicious sandwiches for the next morning, it was simply our road food as we drove early in the morning.

What a wonderful surprise I was when there was a handle attached to the wall that I could hold on to while showering. Thank you very much, Biffie, for complying with our request. Hope we can spend the night there again in the future.
Our host provided above and beyond our expectations. The cottages are within walking distance of a good restaurant yet we could experience a quiet Karoo night.

My mother and I stayed at Biffie's and it was very nice. The room is clean and tidy and we were spoiled with a sandwich each. It was very welcome after a long time on the road. When we drove into Biffie's Cottages, it felt like we were leaving Beaufort West and actually in an oasis. Very secure parking with gates that lock and also alarm beams at the vehicles. Would definitely recommend staying with them.

Biffie was unfortunately in George when we spent the night there, so we only spoke on the phone, but she was warm and welcoming during all our conversations. The cremation was great when we saw the place. It is along the river on the side of town, so you get a farm feel when you get there. We were generously and hospitably welcomed by Let, Biffie's right hand. She made us feel very much at home. The garden is cool and has large trees, therefore, like a green emerald in the aridity of the Beaufort-West Karoo. We rested wonderfully, there were even mosquito nets. Would love to stay here again. There was covered parking for my bakkie and 3.7 m double-axle trailer. Something I haven't found anywhere else.

We only stayed at Biffie's Cottage for one night on our way to the sea. The room was very neat and spacious inside with enough space for our little girl's cot. The hostess also left sandwiches in the fridge for us with muesli and yogurt for breakfast. The little things and effort make a big difference. The place is close and central to restaurants etc.

On the way from the Cape, to the north, after all the frustrations of the busy truck-strewn N1, we stop at Biffie. Our car is safely parked, she has the warm blanket on, the room is wonderfully warm, there are sandwiches in the fridge for tomorrow's drive and a lovely comfortable bed, coffee and the most delicious biscuits. Biffie himself met and showed us where everything was and reassured us that the alarm would be on and the vehicle safe. We have already marked her spot on the GPS for next time. Thanks Biffie.

A great overnight stay venue with a friendly host. Self-catering facilities are minimal though (only a microwave), so best eat out or order in. Owner's house is quite close by, but you still feel relatively private and her garden is magnificent.

We slept well and were able to tackle the next days' travel relaxed and refreshed. On arrival, Biffy instantly made us feel welcome and at home. She is caring without being overbearing. I could make a much-needed cup of tea. The accompanying rusks were the best I have ever tasted! In the fridge we found fresh milk, yoghurts, muesli, and delicious sandwiches, which were a real bonus as we needed to leave early the following morning. It was lovely to be central enough to be able to walk to the restaurant after a long day of travelling. The garden around the cottages is large and an unexpected oasis in Beaufort West. The only unexpected feature was the bathroom being incorporated in the room, with just a sandblasted glass partition.

I forgot to arrange a time with Biffie, but she was immediately available and immediately made me feel welcome. It is a very cute place with a safe parking space. I was also spoiled with snacks. Unfortunately the WiFi didn't reach my room, but apparently they are working on it. Great overslept.

Everything was available, would only suggest that outside lighting might be installed at cottage. When we came back that evening after eating out it was very dark, it was raining and we couldn't see where one was walking, because we don't know the place, but that's not a complaint, just a suggestion.

The heater and warm blankets were ideal for a freezing Beaufort West. KykNet was a bonus for me because I faithfully follow my daily soaps and could also do it on Thursday evening. My car was under cover and also behind closed gates which was very reassuring. I forgot my mobile phone charger there and Biffie was kind enough to undertake to hand it in for me at the bank where I work so that they could send it to my branch in the Cape.

We used Biffie's Cottages as a stop on the way to Cape Town. The Cottage had absolutely everything we needed for our evening's overnight stay. Comfortable bed, clean and well-equipped room. Clean and tidy toilet and shower. The personal "touch" with the sandwiches in the fridge for road food for the next day was very special. Biffies is certainly a good place to spend the night.
Modern and neat rooms.
I am not in favour of bathrooms being open plan with bedrooms. Only a glass screen stands between the toilet and your bed, allowing full sight and sound of your partner on the toilet. It is not self-catering, as there is no place to prepare food or to sit and eat. It is rather a "no catering" than a "self-catering" room, and certainly not a cottage.
Biffie's rooms are just what is needed after a long day's travel. Aircon was welcome, nice barbecue in peaceful garden. Will stay there again.

We are provided with sandwiches as well as plenty of coffee, tea, sugar and milk. Was also provided with yoghurt and muesli for breakfast in the unit's fridge. Furthermore, we were shown how the TV channels work and could ask to get the DStv on a certain channel at a certain time (which was done). Was informed of the WiFi not picking up properly in the unit, but did indicate where the signal was better should we want to use it. Here first impression is lasting.

It's a cute little place. It's clean and tidy. Everything you need to cut the long road in half. The bed slept comfortably, the room was nicely cooled with the aircon and the sandwiches and yogurt for breakfast are more than sufficient. Biffie is the most pleasant person and was only helpful and friendly. The WiFi also worked well. I have no complaints. The place looks a little different from the photos from the outside, more artsy and better laid out inside but nothing to worry about. I would definitely recommend them.

Biffy was incredibly helpful. The guest house's room was spacious, neat and comfortably furnished. What really impressed us was the security she offered for our vehicle.
We had the back room of the cottage which was completely private with a high wall and small garden where one could relax in the late afternoon with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The cottage itself has all the basic amenities for an overnight stay if you want to break up your journey, away from the noise of traffic. Everything was tasteful and functional, topped off by a friendly and caring hostess; overall, a pleasant experience and good value for money.

We only had one overnight stay at Biffi's on our route to Kaapstad. The owner could not receive us. He send us excuses for not being there. His houskeeper received us. She did this in a very good way. Therefore, excuses were not needed at all. Location was good and clean. Possibility to stay in the nice garden.

It was bitterly cold when we arrived around 22:00, our room was wonderfully warm and the electric blanket was already on. Something hot to drink and a snack. Everything is furnished with such taste, neat and clean. Thank you Biffie for your hospitality and kindness, we will definitely stay with you again.
Reception with glass of wine and food for the road for next day makes this a very special overnight stay.
Few places have a hostess like Biffie's Cottages. With biscuits and muesli and yogurt and sandwiches and fruit. Few places have a heater in winter and electric blankets. After almost 3000 km and many different beds this was our heaven on earth.

It was very convenient that the cottage was located just off the main street. My wife and I were relocating and Biffie made our stay very comfortable, especially in terms of security where valuable belongings also slept over in our car in her secure parking space.

We had a great time staying there! Everything was nice and clean! The breakfast was the best! We took our sandwiches with us - the tastiest road food! Would just ask that the rooms be checked beforehand for spiders as there were quite a few - but I'm very scared of spiders in general. Would recommend them any day!

My father and I left Pretoria for Cape Town. Stopped halfway in Beaufort West. Biffie was friendly and helpful. All one wants to do after a long day of driving from Pretoria to Cape Town is lie down! And everything was nicely in its place and perfectly located. Very convenient!

The two adjoining guest cottages are close to the main house but far enough for privacy. There is a facility for making coffee and tea, but no kitchenette. Best to go out for a meal, but it is extremely difficult finding a restaurant catering for vegetarians in Beaufort-West. We ended up eating at the Spur, a restaurant chain that doesn't exactly look too kindly on vegetarians. Biffie was super-friendly and went out of her way to procure a vegetarian meal, but alas to no avail.

Room was neat and tidy with fresh flowers. Shower outlet was half blocked with the result that the entire bathroom floor was under water and flowing into the bedroom! The cleaner at Biffie's says they are aware of the problem, but people are not informed in advance. We also didn't get to see the owners at all. Also, we had no WiFi reception in our room. Will definitely not stay there again!
Biffie's is a gem. It's located on the side of town near the entrance, but dead quiet. Biffie is an excellent hostess. Everything is clean and tidy and the decor beautiful. The beautiful garden is a pleasure. There is nice fresh fruit and all the basic things, such as milk, coffee, etc. There is also delicious muesli, very tasty rusks and fresh sandwiches as a bonus. I will definitely stay there again.

We arrived tired and hot after a long drive and were received with open arms by Biffie. The rooms were wonderfully cool, clean, and a lovely bed with clean, fresh linen made our stay so much better. Biffie has a passion for her guests, and I will stay there again at any time.
We arrived travel weary to be warmly welcomed by Biffie. Our room was comfortable, clean and well presented. Breakfast comprising fruit, yogurt and muesli was in the fridge to enable us to have a early start the following day. A delicious sandwich was prepared as snack for the onward journey. Well-positioned guesthouse away from the main traffic noise, and your recommendation to Surettas for dinner was a winner.

We only stayed one night in Biffies Cottages, but I would use this lovely place to stay again anytime. It's peaceful, beautiful and very private. Biffie was very helpful and made an effort to make us feel at home, without interfering with our privacy. The rooms are extremely neat and tasteful, with everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay (or even longer stay). I can definitely recommend Biffie's Cottages.

We visited the Karoo National Park. Accommodation at Biffies is very close to the Park and we paid half the price at Biffies than we would have paid for accommodation in the Park. The hostess Biffie was very nice and went out of her way to make it as comfortable as possible for us, truly a lovely woman. Every day we got fresh fruit and sandwiches.

Due to circumstances we had to stay in the owner's home. The rooms were clean, convenient with high quality linen and beds. Bathroom clean and neat. Biffie's was like a home away from home and I would definitely recommend and return there myself.

Had a lovely stay at Biffie's. All problem was the check-in time. They show it is from 15:00 to 23:00. We were there at 22:15 and we had to wait because they had already closed for the evening.

Our hostess was friendly and very helpful. We were also able to hook up our freezer for the night. The cottage is beautiful and clean, only the bathroom is not private. The glass partition is too transparent and has no door. We know it's probably modern but not to our taste. Otherwise everything is good and we will definitely stay there again.
A special thank you to Biffie who went out of her way to accommodate my parents when they stayed over. I appreciated the fact that she even sent me a text message confirming their safe arrival. They were very pleased with the cottage, and would highly recommend staying there when you are in the area.

It was great. Biffie is nice and accommodating. I had a wedding cake in a cooler in my car because we were on our way to my son's wedding in Paris. She packed her freezer so he could "sleep" there. The place is wonderful and it was a very pleasant experience. Biffie's dogs are beautiful and loving. I would recommend it anytime.

Beds are comfortable. Hostess very pleasant. Shower a bit small for big people. Self catering section also a bit small as it has only a microwave, toaster and kettle. Hostess made each of us a sandwich for breakfast, which was very kind of her.

We had driven far and were very tired. We had a nice rest at Biffie's and continued our journey the next morning refreshed.
Biffie's was perfect - we arrived at 5pm after a very hot drive through the Karoo to a very clean place, with aircon waiting for us. The parking was very safe, ideal for people travelling with a lot of possessions. We were encouraged to send text messages with any concerns and received very prompt replies. Very comfortable bed gave us a good night's sleep to prepare us for the next day's drive. Excellent stop-over location.
