The last 2 rooms are ideal for children; 1 room is furnished with a single and a bunk bed, and the other, with 2 single beds. The rooms share the use of 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet. One bathroom is fitted with a bath and a shower and the second bathroom has a toilet, basin, bath, and shower. An open-air shower is also available. Linen is provided, but guests need to bring their own bath and beach towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a freezer, stove, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and 2 fridges. The house also has a scullery and laundry facilities are available for long stays. For shorter stays, a charge is applicable for laundry services. Guests can relax in the lounge, and a TV, as well as a DVD player, is available. The terrace is equipped with a gas braai, and it leads to the swimming pool and garden. A boma fire area is located just a few feet from the beach.

17 guests' feedbackSafety was a priority, the location (Lon point). The booking and the assistance from Joseph were great. It was a lovely weekend. I'm definitely going to take my family to experience being by the sea.
Stay was excellent. Caretaker was very helpful. Only issue was with the breakage deposit that was paid. We didn't receive anything on paper to show all the items they have. We didn't use much of their cutlery and utensils as we also brought our own. I went through as much as we could with the caretaker when we checked in and when we left. There should be an inventory that should be checked. But nothing was damaged and we left everything clean. There were old damages that we found when checking in, but I showed them to the caretaker. He advised that he was aware of them. But it's a lovely place.
We just love our yearly weekend trip at Big Bay - our kids are always super excited to go to the 'Beach House'. Can't wait for next year!
Large rooms, large porch with enough seating where you can look out on the beach and sea. Swimming pool for the hot nights was a great treat and 15 meters away is the beach. No traffic near the house or town noise like in cities. Very quiet part and we could rest well. Will definitely book there again next year. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very comfortable house and using the place is a must. Porch area very nice hanging out area. Small shop with all the essentials within walking distance of the house.
Big Bay Beach house was an amazing destination. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

Nice. It was peaceful, safe, good facilities.
The house is not luxurious, and needs some attention from a maintenance perspective - the bathroom door has trouble closing and the patio chairs are falling apart; the trash is awful and the linen is 100% polyester. The bunk bed's ladder doesn't fit, so it's an adventure to get into bed. That said, it's a fantastic house for a quiet family holiday - place for grandpa and grandma and all the kids and grandkids. The house is on the beach, and is ideal if you want to take dogs and children with you. The long stoep and braai area is wonderfully large. Josef is a must - he is friendly and helpful and cleans very nicely between us 13 people and 5 dogs.
Joseph tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. However we had to wait for the facility to be ready on the the 3rd. Joseph and his team were still busy as the last guests left late. Deposit refund was delayed until we involved the website to assist. The toilets and showers need some work. Not much space for waste.
It was a lovely house close to the beach. House was clean. And spacious.
Nice big house with many rooms that all give their privacy. Lovely large veranda overlooking the sea for a nice barbecue and a visit. Literally a few steps walk to the beach! We couldn't have asked for better.

The location is perfect if you like the South Coast, but you want to spend some quality and quiet time with your family. We will definitely go again!
The view is incredible. The house comfortable. The crockery could perhaps be replaced a bit, many of the crockery have cracks and "chips". The safety for pets is not 100%, there is no area where the dogs can be safely enclosed.
It's a great destination for a holiday.
Joseph is really very helpful and pleasant.
