The room was comfortable, and the duvet was perfect for winter. We would have preferred a shower to a bath, but we booked late and all the rooms with showers were taken - so book early if you want a shower!

The food was amazing in a home-cooked style which is always appreciated. The honesty bar is a really nice touch and there are a wide variety of options available. The surroundings and tranquility make this place more than a stop-over point for travellers. I would definitely stay longer than 1 night and enjoy the silence and peace of nature. Truly a 5-star experience.
Big Sky Ranch is a perfect stopover spot between Cape Town and Johannesburg. Your every need is catered for and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Our favorite overnight stop on the way to the Western and Eastern Cape. Upon our arrival, delicious freshly baked chiffon cake and scones await, which we enjoy on the veranda while we surrender ourselves to the tranquility and admire the beautiful views. After a game of tennis and a refreshing swim, it's time for a delicious Karoo meal in the beautiful dining room. The rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. The food and service are exceptional! The farm dogs are friendly and our children were welcome. Big Sky Ranch is so much more than just an overnight stop, it's a destination in itself and you can definitely stay longer and enjoy the beautiful farm and tranquility.
The tranquility of the farm environment, the good facilities and excellent service make a visit to Big Sky Ranch a special experience.
What a beautiful place! We loved everything about our stay. Very relaxing, just what you need after a long day on the road. Lovely garden and patio areas. Sparkling pool with amazing views. Friendly Karoo hospitality and delicious food. It truly felt like part of the holiday and not just a room for the night. Thank you Big Sky Ranch, we will be back for sure.
You would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not spend some time at this most stunning venue. A working stud farm run by the owner and staff set in the open Karoo landscape is quite beautiful.
It won't be easy to stay at any other place when in the area. I would highly recommend big Sky Ranch. They made our stay so special, we will remember our stay for years to come.
