Big Tree have safe and secure parking for your vehicles as well as a tennis court and a swimming pool. Car hire, tours and bush braai's can be arranged on guests request. O.R Tambo is approximately a 20 minute drive from the Big Tree, depending on traffic. It is also only a mere 3.5 km away from the Gautrain Station and Gallagher Estate. Waterfall estate is close by with Mall of Africa so shopping is sorted!!

18 guests' feedbackWe were received very kindly. The staff's service was unbeatable. They went the extra mile in every way. The facilities are very well equipped and we really enjoyed our visit there. We will definitely spend the night there again if the opportunity arises again.
We had a great stay at Big Tree B&B. It looks exactly like the pictures. Very friendly service. They also have a generator available for power outages.
Beds were comfortable. The bed linen and towels were fresh and clean. All the appliances worked. The bathrooms are spotless. Rooms are serviced every day, even on a Sunday! The staff are welcoming and bend over backwards to assist. Please note that only a bar fridge is available. If you stay more than 2 days, you will need a cooler box and refresh your ice to keep items frozen/cold. The only negative issue I would share is that with a family of three, we needed more than half a roll of toilet paper between us for 5 days. I would suggest that staff leave a few rolls in the bathroom for clients who are staying long and have 3 people in the room. However, I must point out that I forgot to ask staff to replenish and bought my own.
Big Tree Bed and Breakfast is recommended, reception friendly and helpful. Please look to the TV!
We loved our stay at Big Tree B&B. Did not originally organize to have breakfast, but the manager and staff immediately made a plan to accommodate us with a wonderful breakfast. Staff were very welcoming and facilities were more than expected.
Dinner would be an asset as restaurants are far and it is not safe to drive in the area at night. Generator on site for loadshedding is an asset!

The place was very neat and the people friendly all our requests were met with a smile, the grounds were clean and tidy. it was a pleasure to stay there it didn't feel like we were in the city.
Beautiful garden, well-looked after, great breakfast, very friendly service and over-all great stay.
The room, unfortunately, needs attention, the shower's ceiling was gaping and the wasp nest near the room made me feel a little frightened.
Breakfast was nice, reception and arrangements were good, the fact that I struggled with water pressure both mornings which also causes the hot water to take a long time to reach my room (Hester). Because of the poor water experience, I just felt like I got poor value for my money.
Dinner on reservation will be handy as there are no restaurants nearby.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I returned to my room late and there was a light turn on, bed pulled open and a heater on to make the room a little warmer and homely. Was out early (04:00) and the security guard kindly helped me carry my bags and saw that I was driving safely. Truly a lovely place to spend the night!
The staff was very friendly and the service good, the gardens beautiful and well maintained, the room clean and comfortable, the breakfast average. The rats were frolicking on the ceiling at night and the staff said they would deal with it. The fan could not turn on as there was no switch string for it.
