12 guests' feedbackWe had a particularly nice weekend at Big Tree House Lodge. The view from the Big Tree unit is something to experience for yourself. I can honestly say we thought the place looked nice in pictures, wait until you see for yourself.
It is an incredible location, with awesome management and fantastic views.
Great comfort, quiet environment.
Lovely tree filled surroundings, everything you need including inverter which was a great surprise, very centrally located.

Excellent stay with the right level of supervision and support.
The setting is beautiful and the room is comfortable. However, I found it weird that the owners clean the room without asking our permission first. We had a lot of valuables with us, as we were on honeymoon, so we were uncomfortable when we discovered our room was entered without our knowledge. Furthermore, the braai area was not as advertised in the photos for the accommodation. The owner gave a cheeky response when we sought clarity regarding whether or not we were assigned the correct cottage. However, the cottage was beautiful regardless.
Very neat nice accommodation. Older persons should first speak to management before booking as some of the cottages are situated on a steep slope. Filtered water is a plus, but a very racy 'inverter' definitely bothered. (for WiFi and TV during load shedding) 2 bathrooms were a treat. One with a very welcome bath and the other with a shower.

We have stayed all over SA in chalets and cottages, nothing compares with the comfort, cleanliness, facilities, not to mention the magnificent view, of Big Tree House Lodge. We'll be back for sure!
Charming cabin with ample space and great view. Location is central and close to tourist attractions and owners are wonderful.
