143 guests' feedbackGood day, the stay was pleasant and we have no complaints. The kitchen is well equipped, but it only gets terribly hot when food is prepared there. This is understandable as it is woodland, but a fan might dampen the heat a bit.
Nice location and friendly staff.
The stay was nice; it was raining, so I could not see all the benefits. The place was cozy and clean. I only stayed for one night, but I would come back for a longer stay.
Presently surprised with the camp. Service from Grace was fantastic. We loved every minute of our stay. We will definitely go back again and again. We love the place.
Everything was clean, tidy and organized. Would definitely recommend it.
Big Tuskers Bush is a beautiful place, quiet, and you always have a peace of mind.
Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing.
Had a great night at Big Tuskers Bush Camp.
We will definitely go back.
The accommodation is absolutely fantastic. The whole environment is very comfortable with all necessary equipment available.
Welcomed by the owner. Even wanted to help with luggage. Immediately felt welcome.
Great stay. Accommodation was clean and the host went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met.
Many thanks to Big Tuskers Bush Camp where my mother and I stayed for a few nights. The accommodation is clean and tidy. The supervisor was always available to help and very friendly. The pool is nice and refreshing.
Wow, what a great place, my wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and were very spoiled, the caretaker even helped carry our luggage out. Five star service, thank you very much.
Our stay was fantastic.
Aircon shower could be better.
Very friendly and comfortable, would work fantastically for a group of friends!
Very nice stay and everything you need is and was available. The owner and his wife are friendly and hospitable. Recommend the place to stay.
It was a pleasure. Fellow guests positive, nice friends made.
Everything was perfect. The double bed at Shingwedzi Chalets needs to be replaced.
Booked again on our return from Mozambique. That sums it all up.
Great stay! The kitchen was very convenient to use. So is the coffee station and fridge in the chalet. Everything neat and clean.
Booked again on the way back from Mozambique.
Great stay! The hostess very helpful and swimming pool a pleasure.
Place is clean and tidy. However, maintenance is required. Our geyser didn't work at all, the sink was clogged and the air conditioner was leaking water into our cottage. There should also be a plan for "loadshedding" - it's very hot! Just giving a light is not enough. We won't be staying there again if there isn't a plan B for "loadshedding" - it's simply too hot to do without a fan or air conditioner.
We always have a great time at Big Tuskers.
We had a very, very nice stay, thank you.
Unfortunately we got there late in the evening, but it was tidy and everything was in place for an overnight stay.
Enjoyed it a lot.
Always have fun there with lots of tame animals that eat out of your hand.
Very nice, clean and tidy. Very friendly welcome. Conveniently located.
It is a nice place to spend the night or stay for a few days. The communal kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. The controller, who is very friendly and helpful, helped us well. Many animals that roam there were special.
Lovely place and would use them again and can recommend. Have fun, barbecue and swim. Room very tidy and aircon works in the heat, so definitely points.
A beautiful area with game throughout the day.
Stella was, as in previous years, a lovely 'host'. The room and kitchen amenities have everything you need for that 'home away from home' feeling. Animals visiting the lodge always create that feeling of being in the bush.
Friendly, neat, beautiful, comfortable, clean and wonderfully peaceful.
Excellent, neat and very beautiful!
Only spent one night there, but would definitely want to spend a week or 2 there. Fantastic place and very beautiful.
Great. Due to the lot of rain you have to drive slowly on the roads.
I would like to come again, it is a nice place, we really enjoyed it as couples.
We had a wonderful stay. Stella is awesome. Beds sleep so well. Swimming pool is nice and big. Everything was great.
The host is most helpful and so friendly. It is very neat and spacious.
There is an option of two braai places, swimming pool was nice and clean and lots of trees for shade around the fire place. The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Will stay there again. Well priced.
Very nice and quiet. Clean. Friendly. Will go again.
Will really visit again, people are very friendly. Nice in the woods and no houses around you. Lots of wildlife that came to visit us.
The place is in a nature park - animals walk peacefully between houses.
Place was clean, each cottage has privacy with the forest around the places for good atmosphere.
Reception was very friendly and helpful. Awesome service.
Very hospitable. It was a great experience, in a clean and cozy chalet. The chalets are wheelchair friendly. We saw kudus, bushbabies, bushbuck, mongoose, and many more from our porch. We will definitely be back.
Stella was always available to help where she could.
The place was neat, the location is great and the service from Stellah was great. Would definitely recommend Big Tuskers Bush Camp for a nice rest in the heart of the bush.
You feel like family when you leave there. You feel like you want to go back there again soon.
People are friendly, place is very neat, and many animals to see. Rooms are equipped with aircons and a swimming pool to cool off. Would recommend the place anytime.
The owner welcomed us warmly and showed us around. The chalet was comfortably equipped with sleeping space for 3 adults with air conditioning and a fan. Coffee station in the room is fully equipped, and clean towels are provided. Shower and ablution facilities are wheelchair friendly. The communal kitchen is equipped with everything from an air fryer to a pressure cooker. Swimming pool and braai area are also wheelchair friendly. Definitely worth a return.
No complaints. Very hot. Load shedding.
Cozy and close to nature. Had a wonderful time with the roebucks and warthogs and then a kudu also dropped by.
We were well welcomed by Stella and the cottage was perfect.
Just about everything available. Rooms spacious, tidy. Kitchen has more wares to use than my own house's. Never experienced such a fully equipped kitchen for guests. The paving between guest house and kitchen is practical and ideal, especially if it rains. There is also an emergency button installed everywhere for use when danger may threaten, remember you are in the forest and there are wild animals. Would definitely stay there again, just 3km from the Marlothpark gate.
Now it was torment for the soul. It was so quiet, just what we needed.
You will find everything you need in place and lovely rooms.
Friendly service and beautiful rooms.
Very friendly welcome and the staff is very helpful.
Very friendly reception, member of staff really helpful and friendly, we slept & stayed very well. The place is ideal for families, friends and family visits, we would very much like to incorporate a family visit there.
This was our first overnight visit to Marloth Park. The owner was friendly and very hospitable. The silence of nature was just what any soul needed. That provision has been made 100% for a disabled person is a big bonus. We can't wait to go again.
We will definitely be back again with even more family members. We especially need to come and take advantage of that pool! It's spotless and beautiful! The animals like to come and say hello throughout the day and the night owls that stay in the roof on the porch entertained us every evening! Three units were full and we had fun together in the evenings around the fire, it was cozy and comfortable! Stella is a gem, she knows the environment and animals and is never in the way. If you see she was there and everything is neat and clean. Thank you so much for the wonderful long weekend! See you definitely after the winter!
The host Stella is amazing in the way she made us feel welcome and assisted us in everything. The place is so neat and clean and the bush atmosphere is wonderful.
We really enjoyed the naps, morning and evening. We also threw in seed for the birds, but they didn't come to eat much. The warthogs, bushbucks, kudus, grebes and even a lizard came to visit regularly.
Very clean, safe and domestic was very good and kind.
Very nice accommodation and very well equipped kitchen, there is no need for any extra crockery, appliances or utensils. Everything you will need it there. The swimming pool is very nicely situated under some trees which makes swimming during the day very nice but the water never heats up so it can be a bit cool for night time swimming.
Clean, tidy and well equipped. A place where you can gather in a group around the fire, enjoy the silence of the woodland, but also enjoy your own privacy as everyone has their own separate room and bathroom. Definitely a recommendation!
Stella was fantastic making sure everyone and everything was in top order. The only problem I have was with the bed was not comfortable and ended up with a sore back. No oven in the kitchen so you can only braai.
Friendly and helpful.
This was our third time in Marloth and definitely the best value for money of the three times. The chalets have a lot of atmosphere and the communal kitchen is very well equipped. We were very kindly received by Stella. Big Tuskers Camp is definitely my preferred option for the future. We would love to return with a group of friends.
We had a great stay, I would definitely recommend it for a large group that wants to visit together.
If you are not renting all the units together, make sure there is no stranger in the other unit at the same time. Communal space can get awkward.
Very kindly received by Stella. Everything is neat and clean. Very very nice stay. We will definitely go again.
It is a quiet with a nice pool with neat rooms and the kitchen is complete. Will go again.
Upon arrival, the pool was very dirty and the worker only sorted it out on our 2nd day. The fridge did not freeze at all and the lighting inside the chalet was extremely poor. Furthermore, we really enjoyed it.
Each family has its own privacy, own bathroom and each room has aircon. Neat and very clean. Staff on site very helpful and friendly.
Very nice place and very clean.
Thank you for going out of your way and offering us your personal home with 4 grandchildren. What an unforgettable experience for city kids to experience animals from so close and have interactions with animals that they will never forget.
It is a very nice place that is very neat and quiet. Had a great time. Will definitely go again.
I am very happy with Big Tuskers - this was our second time staying there and will definitely be back!
What an amazing stay we had at Big Tuskers. From arrival to departure. Stella is absolute excellent. We definitely will be back.
The tranquility was just what we needed. The rondavel and communal kitchen very well equipped. Our reception and service there excellent!
Too scared to give good review, just now we won't get back to it. Beverly is very friendly and hospitable. Will stay there anytime again. Place is neat and safe and close to Krokodilbrug gate.
Ek sal weer hier bespreek.
The chalets are very neat, clean and comfortable and the communal kitchen has everything and more that one needs. We will definitely stay there again!
I can recommend Big Tuskers Bush Camp with an open heart. Very neat chalet with a fully equipped communal kitchen. You really don't need to bring anything - just your cooler box! Stella was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again.
Safety is the same at any other place, you are never really safe, there are panic buttons and Stella is up and down. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.
Although I was on my own, everything was great. Would definitely stay there again. Die animals in the camp was a bonus.
It was one of the best places we've stayed in Marloth. Stella was a star, very friendly and helpful. Only problem: We couldn't stay longer!
Clean and the fact that so many different animals come there makes it an incredible experience.
The lady who looks at the place does very good work to make you feel at home. Parking and turning over of your vehicle is poor. Difficulty turning a vehicle if there is more than one vehicle. Removing a sickle bush can improve everything.
The animals come to you.
The chalet is small, but well equipped with everything that you need. We were the only guests there and we enjoyed the swimming pool.
Really enjoyed, clean rooms, pocket size, well located. The communal kitchen and facilities were neat and well looked after. Can recommend to any family and or couple who like to camp and meet other people.
Every day the room has been serviced and clean bedding were changed after the third night, friendly staff.
It was a sudden decision to go through. My children were there and it was my son-in-law's birthday. We found accommodation at Big Tuskers. Cute little place. Close to the high street and shops. The units are well equipped. Shared kitchen if group of people stay there. Very comfortable for family. 4 units with large kitchen. I will definitely stay there again. Definitely worth the money.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful in the woods but had all the amenities needed. I would like to go again with my family so that one can use the whole camp.
Very friendly welcome from the caretaker! Clean and neat inside the chalets. Animals came and visited us! What an experience! It was very nice staying there, and we go again soon, very soon! Lovely place to stay. See you soon!
It was one of the nicest places I've stayed in in Marloth Park. The unit was very neat inside, all essential items were available and you hardly need to pack anything to take with you, everything is already there. The pool is just one extra that makes the place stand out from the rest. The help of the lady who looks after the place is another reason why it was an amazing experience. Best of all were the night owls who came to visit. 10 stars for you.
Thanks to Big Tuskers Bush Camp. It was truly a surprise to be able to visit such a beautiful place for such a wonderful price. Our family really enjoyed it. And the fact that the animals entered the camp was the highlight for our children. We will definitely visit again and bring friends and family.
The whole experience was excellent. Having 9 adults and 1 toddler Stella and the Olbers made our stay great. Having young adolescents with us, there were no complaints about noise, etc. Stella was awesome and very hospitable. She made sure the camp was spotless. All in all a terrific 11 days that flew by too quickly but will definitely be back.
The place was amazing, clean and comfortable, however we had no hot water on the second night and the number supplied for problems went straight to voicemail. I sent a message to the number and have not yet had a reply. We had spent the entire day in the car in the park and had an 11 hour trip home the next day, yet could not shower so were very unhappy.
We were received very kindly by the receptionist. The room is comfortably furnished and everything is very neat and clean. The kitchen was always very neat and clean, as were the braai areas.
Upon arrival, the lady was extremely helpful. Good attitude and very friendly. We had been alone at the camp so lovely and peaceful. Saw many animals and had a great time.
Was only one night but the facilities were great. We had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and tidy with everything you need. Will definitely use the accommodation again. Many thanks also for the friendly welcome upon our arrival.
I will go there again and again.
Big Tuskers Bush is perfect for an overnight stay if you want to visit the game park, or when you just want to experience the tranquility of the bushveld.
Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your wonderful place. We last visited the KNP in 1988 and this was a first in 29 years to visit the Kruger Park but we could not find any place in the park to stay. Then someone mention Marloth Park as it is so conveniently close to the southern gates of the park and you can really see a lot making use of the day visit programs. And so we found Big Tuskers Bush Camp and enjoyed it so much that we want to bring the whole family for a weekend in the future. Thank you to Stella who welcomed us and looked after us - she is a huge asset to your operation. We enjoyed the drive along the river bank of the Crocodile river (the one fence of Marloth). The facilities were more than what we expected and we can see your personal touch everywhere.
Our stay at Big Tuskers was lovely. The rooms are stunning with air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans and decorated beautifully. The mosquito nets over the beds as well as being practical made the rooms very pretty. The communal kitchen is well equipped with everything you need.
Recommended for a well deserved rest.
We enjoyed it so much and will recommend it to anyone. Stella was very helpful and friendly.
IT was our first visit to Marloth Park and I was so surprised when I saw the beautiful place. The wild, quietness and the beautiful bird songs every morning. I must be honest I didn't want to return home.
Extremely comfortable, clean and tasteful units in a cozy layout with many amenities. See us again for sure, and will definitely use LekkeSlaap again for 100% service.
We had a nice stay. Would like to visit there again. Our little one enjoyed it a lot, especially the animals that came to visit.
Stellah is very cute and friendly. Room was clean and has a small kitchen and fridge in your room which is a bonus especially if you don't want to use the communal kitchen. Very quiet and tidy, only shower in bathroom so we struggled a bit to bathe our little girl. Pool is open, parents with small children should take note.
Was okay maar toe ons daar aankom was die plek nie skoon nie moes eers wag dat hulle dit skoongemaak het, die swembad was baie vuil en ons moes in koue water stort want die gasbottel was leeg!
Warm but very peaceful. People are really friendly and you feel like you've known them for years.
Our stay at Big Tuskers was a real surprise! We were welcomed by Stella, the caretaker at Big Tuskers. She is very friendly, helpful and always on duty. The rooms were very comfortable and fully equipped and thoroughly cleaned every day. It is a very safe establishment and I will definitely return in future. R233 p/person is great value for your money! A stay at Big Tuskers is what a holiday should feel like! Thank you Stella and Beverly!
It was a wonderful experience sitting next to a blazing fire at night, watching the warthogs and kudu drinking water less than two meters away from your chair. Stella, the very helpful and friendly lady looking after Big Tuskers, makes sure that everything is clean and in order. I seldom felt so relaxed, at home and safe at a holiday destination and will definitely return for another visit.
Big Tuskers is very neat, luxurious accommodation for large families near the Kruger National Park. The kitchen is well equipped to make cooking so much easier. We really enjoyed it and the children loved the animals that roam around there.
Will stay at Big Tuskers again. It is the ideal place for a quick getaway.
The accommodation was definitely value for money. Very beautiful wildlife seen. Delicious barbecue and swimming. Kitchen facilities were in very good condition and Stellah was excellent. She is a star. Thank you very much for the lovely stay.
Inappropriate customer service. Make a mistake with booking and make me pay double. If I follow up it's my fault and being treated badly. The chalet is extremely small and you bump into everything. Three people in one chalet does not work. There is no place to put your luggage. As a result you walk and bump yourself even more. We didn't really see game, but we did see "small game" a few times. We use a common kitchen in which we found mice every day. Work surface full of mouse droppings. Which means every time you want to use something you have to wash it first. We had been to Marloth before and thoroughly enjoyed it. But the experience at the accommodation spoiled the wonderful experience. The lady wants to give us a free weekend for two. My question is why go back to a place where you were treated badly. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the place at all. Was my parents' first time. And they were shocked when we stopped there and honestly I have to sign a disclaimer form. Then it is said of all the crooks and snakes. My mother didn't even want to sit outside and grill because she was too scared. I will go back to Marloth but my parents will not go again because the experience they had.
It is versatile accommodation for families and businessmen. Comfortably equipped and quiet and peaceful in the woods. Lovely to visit here.
Very neat place and very good service. Felt welcome and it was very comfortable. Everything you need is provided.
Stella was friendly and helpful.
Very hospitable. Setlla is a great host.
This place is a real loop court! I would recommend Big Tuskers bush Camp to anyone. The places are neat and clean and the caretaker's service is excellent. It is located in a quiet area and very safe. I am very pleased with the place.
A wonderful experience. Will definitely visit there again!
We found Big Tuskers Bush Camp to be very convenient for our stay in Marloth Park. We attended a wedding on the Saturday night and headed off bright and early on Sunday morning for the Kruger National Park. Crocodile Bridge gate is literally 10 minutes away so it was absolutely perfect. Stella was the perfect host and our little bungalow had everything we needed. Would certainly recommend it.
The place is more for family because there is a shared kitchen with four units. It will be the ideal place for birthdays and any gatherings.
Lovely stay and also enjoyed the warthogs!
The air conditioning was manna from heaven when the degrees went over forty for two days.
Excellent recommendation, but actually I don't want to tell anyone, because then I might not get a place again.
We got married on 21 September 2013 and really enjoyed our honeymoon at Big Tuskers. Our nine-year-old son also thinks it was a very nice honeymoon! Stellah was always friendly and helpful. Definitely going there again...
Julie the manager is extremely pleasant and helpfullnHave not stayed in a camp before so cannot compare, but found it comfortable and was pleasantly supprised.
We really enjoyed our stay at Big Tuskers and will definitely like to go back at some point in the future.
We had a great stay! Will be back there soon!
