Bingelela is a quiet and cozy place under the trees, the people are friendly and helpful, good to go back to again.
The place is easy to find and the reception friendly and professional. The directions to the sleeping facilities which are somewhat inadequate. The sleeping rondavel (No. 10) was clean and tidy. However, it is oddly arranged with a staircase leading up to the bed level. The bathroom is downstairs, as is the lounge area and TV. Small, but perfectly fine for the purpose of staying overnight. The following was noted: Bathroom and toilet downstairs with bed upstairs not ideal, especially for older people. I am 71 years old and my spouse is 69. I often walk with a cane. The stairs were a problem - so much so that my wife slept on the couch. The stairs are not sturdy and the rails very low. Stairs are steep and uneven with openings in between. My wife suffers from a fear of heights and could not take the stairs after a first try. The rail at the foot of the bed above is too low and close to the foot of the bed. The floor is also uneven. The railing height is between knee and hip height. The chance of falling over is high - especially at night. Fridge is above and kettle below - it doesn't make sense. I suggest placing the fridge below with a shelf above for the kettle and other goods. The cups and glasses in an upright box on the in the corner. There is no shelf to unpack any toiletries in the bathroom. Sink plug seal was absent. I suspect that the layout failed because of the Jaccuzzi under the stairs that took up the place. With respect, I would like to mention that in my opinion the Jaccuzzi is completely redundant in this configuration. However, the restaurant and relaxation area is a completely different story. It is very well furnished with all the necessary facilities and creates a real peaceful holiday atmosphere. The staff were extremely considerate and friendly and the music to my taste - peaceful. Dinner and breakfast were served promptly and were well prepared and tasty. Especially the fat cookies with breakfast were a pleasant surprise and delicious. We would easily spend the night there again on the condition that we stay and sleep on the ground floor.
Clean, neat and good food.
We were kindly received and the chalet was beautifully clean and tidy. Unfortunately we were not aware that the restaurant closes at 3pm on Sundays and did not take any food with us (intended to eat there on Sunday night). Fortunately, reception arranged for a pizza to be made for us soon before the kitchen staff left. Although we were the only people there, we still received a good breakfast on Monday morning. Will stay there again.
What is advertised and what is found differs widely. There are 2 cups in the rondawel, but no sink. You are obliged to wash it in the bathroom. The profile says there is free Wi-Fi, but it only works in the entertainment area and not where you sleep. No plates - so they oblige you to eat in their restaurant at the most expensive. Nowhere on the profile is there any indication that you are actually sleeping in the bushes. Just the nice pictures that make the place attractive are shown. When we were there it rained. When we stopped at our rondawel, we had to get out into the mud. No pavement or paving. Your car sleeps under the tall trees - eucalyptus trees with very dry branches. They're quick to show you a sign that they are not liable for any damage, but you are obliged to park your vehicle under those trees, because the place is so equipped in such a way that you drive up to the rondawel. If a branch breaks during a severe storm and damages your car, there is no liability on their part. Extremely weak! We stayed in rondawel 9. The shower / toilet door's sliding lock is broken and cannot lock inside. So if you use the toilet, the door will always open. Given the aforementioned, we decided to spend just one night.
