I had a wonderful stay, the room is very neat and clean, the bed is comfortable. I would just like some extra coffee because guys like me drink more than just one cup.
Previous guests' candy papers were found when my child got into bed. Bathroom is small, but for one night's sleep it was comfortable enough.

Accommodation is as it looks in the pictures - Deluxe Family Room - and it was comfortable and clean. Martin was easy to contact and friendly. It was quiet, despite a few other guests in other rooms. There were no chairs or table at our room but we found some chairs outside that we could sit on. There is minimal cutlery and crockery, but plenty of places to eat at in town. There were enough coffee cups and glasses for four. Wi-Fi works well.

The hostess was friendly. We were able to take our little dog with us. The place is well equipped for a wheelchair. Have stayed here 2 times now. Would recommend it to everyone.

Clean and everything in room as advertised. Although very average accommodation, everything was in good working order with clean linen and towels.

Rooms inside are neat, but outside not so neat. Photos and information misleading. Chose the place specifically because there is a pool. No pool ─ it's closed. Outside area behind not tidy. People not exactly friendly either.

Thank you very much, we stayed with you twice on our way to the West Coast. Everything was perfect, all that was missing was a toilet brush and maybe a sink to wash dishes in. With small children it was rather short. The pool was a welcome distraction and cool down after the long drive, and thank you very much for allowing us to book in earlier after the long drive on both occasions!

The room and bathroom are very neat and clean. The air conditioner is a plus, especially when the country was hit by a heat wave. The pool also brings welcome relief from the killer sun. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The village has water restrictions, but we were so grateful that Bird Guesthouse provided water so we didn't have a shortage. We will stay there again when we are in the area again.
Well located and not hard to find. Rooms are nice and clean and the whole yard and parking spaces are also clean.
The area is convenient for small children. Outside it is tidy, as well as secure fencing for cars. There are also basic facilities for coffee and also a microwave oven to heat food quickly. The room is also tastefully furnished.

The light outside shines through the curtains and lights up the room. It's a bit annoying. Will be great tot get curtains that will block the light.
Extremely poor, should not be offered, undergoing improvements, but we were crammed into a room that really should not be rented out. Faucets want to fall off, table wants to fall over, really weak!
Having take-away menus in the rooms was a great help. Most comfortable and clean rooms.

I would recommend the owner to add the following to the room: long life milk in the fridge instead of Cremora; Nescafe powder coffee along with the Ricoffy powder coffee; rusks to enjoy with the coffee upon arrival and departure the next morning and perhaps a small plate, knife and fork? We had sliced bread with butter and cheese. The take-away brochures were a plus, but a warning of snatch-and-grab thieves operating in the area should have been attached. Perhaps also a warning of how close the taxi rank is to the petrol stations in Market Road and which area is less dangerous.

We were received very kindly and the place is tidy. I think the aircon in the family room could be serviced, but otherwise everything was one hundred percent.
All the basic necessities are there, good overnight facility at reasonable rate. The pool was in good condition, but it needs attention.
We arrived at 21:00 and were warmly received. There is just one thing I really wnat to bring under your attention. There was no mirror for hair drying. You could put a mirror by the plug which will make it easier. Quite funny - my husband had to help me blowdry my hair. First time in 30 years.
We received good customer service and the room was clean and well equipped. The guesthouse is located in a quiet street. The only complaint I have is that we didn't have hot water which meant that we had cold showers.

The room was small and there wasn't space for a chair or two. Thus you have to pack your overnight bag out on the floor, which is a bit uncomfortable. As an elderly person, I struggled to get my shoes on and as there isn't a chair, I had to sit on the bed, which was a bit high. The asbestos heater didn't really help much and a proper heater would have made the room lovely and warm. Otherwise it was neat and clean. Had a lovely night's rest, but we were very cold when we got up.

Hennie's home might be a bit old, but it feels like home. I broke a light on the gate and he insisted that I forget about it! We are both bank pensioners, so we had a lot of stories to share. He's very friendly.
Had requested single beds but this request was never met. Too late to change rooms and beds with the result a double bed had to be shared.
People who drive from the city to these little towns often arrive very late. We arrived late but still felt very welcome. They had load shedding in the area but Bird Guest Lodge had backup lights and the beds were made the way I prefer it. Thank you very much for the accommodation.

We had a great stay at Bird Guest Lodge. My wife and I just needed a place to sleep between Upington and Pretoria. Bird was a good choice, we were able to relax there and slept well. If you (like us) are just looking for a place to sleep, this is perfect.
No warm water. Power was out when we wanted leave for home early in the morning. Toilet in the room was inconvenient.
We were received very kindly and could ask at any time if we needed anything. Of course, it's a bonus that our puppy was welcome there and that it was securely fenced so she could walk around and play with the owner's puppy. We will stay there again anytime if we have to be in Vryburg. In this case it was nice and close to the hospital as well as a Pick & Pay. The owners are very hospitable.
I had arranged in advance that I would be at the destination late in the evening. I was still received kindly and everything in the room was tidy with clean facilities. It's an ideal overnight facility on the way to the Northern Cape or Namibia. Parking is also safe and there is no need to pack everything out of the vehicle.

Part of residential house, not privately and professionally planned, residential house adapted by pensioners. The room we had was small with toilet and shower all in the same room, behind a curtain less than one meter from the bed.
The bathroom could do with a wooden partition. No privacy. Not happy with the amount of tea and coffee. The TV needs attention.

Management friendly and helpful. Rooms/facilities clean and centralised. Close to all surrounding facilities, restaurants etc.
Was very kindly received, and the uncle went out of his way to make it comfortable for us, especially with a bakkie and wagon full of quince trees that were ± 3 meters high and he quickly devised a plan so that we would not damage the trees (cut down one of his tree branches to make it easier for us!) and couldn't run into wires. Can recommend the guesthouse to anyone with an open, happy heart.

Enjoyed a very hospitable reception. The accommodation is in a safe area - also the vehicles are behind security gates.
Okay stay - however, when I asked where the breakfast was the following morning (since they are listed as B&B), I was handed a voucher for one of three choices of Wimpy's cheapest breakfast offers. I would not have stayed here if I had known this before booking. The closest Wimpy is inside a Spar Mall, which is not easy to find, as well as being inconvenient to have to travel to a mall before I could eat. I will probably look elsewhere in Vryburg in the future.

Highly recommended for wheelchair users. Owners very helpfull and friendly.
The area at first glance seemed a bit strange, until I got to the actual Lodge - where everything was perfect. The room I stayed in was spacious and in an open plan layout, with the bath, toilet and shower in the same room. There was no real privacy other than curtains. For me this was not a problem, but if I had a girlfriend or a friend sharing with me, it could have been awkward ... would definitely recommend.
