The cottage features a sheltered garden, and is ideal for a couple or a couple with one or two children. The entire top floor comprises the main bedroom with a double bed and a comfortable lounge area. A large counter-style top provides a work-station or chat area for dining/sundowners overlooking the bay. Downstairs, a sleeping alcove in the open-plan living area contains a single bed. There is also a sleeper couch, suitable for a child or smaller adult, in this open-plan living area.
The ground floor comprises an open-plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, a 2-plate induction stove, a microwave, a kettle and toaster, coffee plungers, cutlery and crockery, and glassware. Bath towels and linen are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels.) Firewood for your first braai will be supplied. There is a portable braai on the patio.
You will have access to secure parking in a single lock-up garage, with direct access to the cottage. The cottage is conveniently located 700 metres from Grotto, and 1 km from Voëlklip Beach and the local neighbourhood supermarket. The location offers access to restaurants, and is 6.7 km from the Klein River Lagoon, popular for a variety of water sports.

16 guests' feedbackThe accommodation is close to the sea and Grotto beach. We went walking on the mountain, from the house, no car was needed. I also walked to the sea from the house, close enough to walk.
Good location and service.
It was our second stay in this lovely cottage. We love the indoor outdoor lifestyle it provides. Well equipped with everything one would need with little extras to make ones stay even better. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful and very well equipped with a lovely relaxing courtyard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were more than a little heartbroken to leave. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. We will be back. Loved it. Suggestion: Maybe the sleeping area upstairs could be reconfigured so that the bed is in a better position to take advantage of the airflow from the windows.
Make sure about check-in time, we had to wait, even though we pre-arranged for 3 hours check-in. Accommodation is neat, fully equipped and the bed around the cozy courtyard is beautifully green. Must be lovely in summer months. Bathroom only on ground floor. Lovely quiet area, short walk to beach with a lovely short walkway. Not a terrible view, fairly enclosed between other walls, but the comfortable accommodation and green 'courtyard' absolutely make up for it. We would love to stay here again. Loadshedding lights provided, as well as 1-plate gas stove with kettle, thank you very much!

Located in a beautiful and safe area. Comfortable accommodation.
We were unable to sleep well due to extreme heat (there is a sink plate roof and zero ventilation in the room) and an extremely lumpy and uncomfortable bed. The power outage directly after the 8pm load shedding didn't help. The next morning, before 8am, we were awoken by angle grinding. The shower was also leaking. We decided to rather forfeit our second evening and just go home. The two days away were meant for a restful breakaway, unfortunately, this was not the case.
The garden with the hammock is all a tired mind needed.
Value for money. Close to the beach. Safe and very quiet. Neat and clean.
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Accommodation was spacious and had all the amenities needed. The owner was friendly and just a text away.
