Bird's Haven Beach House is a private, fully furnished self-catering beach house built on the dunes of a private 4km stretch of unspoilt beach in Jakkalsfontein, a 1,700-hectare guarded private nature reserve situated along the West Coast, a mere 20 minute drive from Yzerfontein and 79 km from Cape Town city centre. The house can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with an indoor fireplace to keep you warm on those cold nights. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom consisting of a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin. This room has a sliding door opening onto the patio with a view of the ocean. The second bedroom contains a double bed, and the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. These 2 rooms share a bathroom comprising of a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin.
The house also offers free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, hob and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, and a breakfast bar with 4 stools. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bird's Haven Beach House. Place was very neat and clean and is fully equipped to have a lovely comfortable holiday. The sunsets are beautiful from the porch. Will definitely go back again.
