Each room also has a kettle, microwave, fan, underfloor heating, bar fridge, hairdryer and a TV with selected DStv channels.
The house is rented out as a whole in the holiday season and is fully equipped for a self-catering stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric and gas kettle, coffee plunger, toaster, electric oven and gas stove, airfryer, ice maker, pots, pans, fridge-freezer and inside braai area.
Stack doors lead out onto the swimming pool from where one can enjoy views of the mountain and Salt Pan while lounging on the loungers. This area also has a patio with a large pizza oven.
The house is built in a U-shape and all rooms have private entrances that lead to the pool. Ample parking is provided.
Bird's View is situated about 7 km outside of Hermanus. The beachfront is a mere 800m from Bird's View.

12 guests' feedbackOur stay at Bird's View was incredibly pleasant. The information we checked in ahead of us was very handy. We were received kindly and the room was extremely clean and tidy. The view on the mountain and over the lake is breathtaking. The bird life on the lake amazed us - definitely the highlight of our visit. We wish we could have stayed longer to further explore the lake, which is so close.

Yes, stayed and slept well.
There were no braai facilities. The fridge was a bar fridge. There were dogs on the premises. We had to keep requesting our cups and glasses to be cleaned. The pool was dirty on the day of our arrival.

Just a few mistakes, like microwave and braai area will improve the stay there a lot. Got a winter discount, very nice.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Birds View. Birds View can at least provide plates and a microwave in the rooms for the guests as they do not serve breakfast or have a braai area for the guests.
We were immediately received kindly, the rooms were neat and clean. Will go back again anytime.
The rooms met the requirements for one night's stay. We didn't visit guest house, we just slept there so it was good enough for us. There was just something here and there, but this is general maintenance work. The one room's (smaller one) headboard was loose so every time you moved on the bed it hit the wall and the blind's one string was broken so it made the blind hang crooked when you pulled it up.
